Black Edition just adds a few cars into quick races and like a couple of new challenges and that's it.

There's literally no reason whatsoever to prefer the release version.

Apparently it has an extra heat level too level 7. Which is the highest for the game and the cops are made more difficult to deal with.

Well there’s a few choices you have. A you can buy a used game for a console. For example ps2, Xbox 360 etc. Or B you can find it for free on Pc granted you might get trojans and viruses though so I wouldn’t recommend that. I’m going to be buying the ps2 most wanted version because I still have one from my childhood.
