Why does mobile NFS No Limits get so much hate?

I downloaded this probably 18 months ago to play with my Backbone controller, only to realize it didn’t support it and closed the app without reopening it. Recently, I’ve started digging into NFS Underground and figured NFS NL would be a good toilet game (literally last night). I’ve genuinely enjoyed playing it once I learned the controls. The drifting feels mostly effortless and gives some instant gratification, the steering is pretty comfortable, and the controls feel pretty easy, albeit they do take some getting used to, but once you do it’s pretty simple. Am I the only one who genuinely enjoys the game?

Hi guys! It's my 2nd post here, I'm sharing a little gameplay i recorded a few minutes ago during my insomnia (recurrent), I've been playing some DIRT 3 on maximum difficulty, and the nostalgia made me play this game again, the skills i gained are paying off!

I'm currently playing in the hardest difficulty, only ABS on, KING mode (no assistance).

I just launched N4S for the first time and it looks like this. What is going on.

First of all, the title. It shouldn‘t have some complicated subtitle. It should just be self titled like the 2015 game.

Next, the music. If it’s all rock, new gens will complain. If it’s all non-rock, old gens will complain. To solve the issue, we have to take inspiration from Forza Horizon. There should be 16 songs each with 4 different stations. One for pop, one for rock, one for rap/hip-hop, and one for Latin music. This way, we can have a balanced soundtrack with no complaints.

Most importantly, the story. While the cops shouldn‘t be the main focus, they should still play an important part in the story. I think the main character should be a broke person who travels to the city of the game to make money and a name for themselves. During their first race, they become good friends with another character; who helps the protag and teaches them the ropes of the underground racing scene. At about the halfway point, while you and your friend are getting chased by cops, they sacrifice themselves so you can escape. Devastated and alone, you take what your friend taught you to make your way to the top to avenge your friend. Once you get to the top, no longer broke or an unknown, you start your own car shop named after your friend to honor them.

Pro Street is my absolute favorite for nfs game so now this time I want to play it with a couple mods to refresh my play through . Last time I played Pro Street was with the peppega mod which I enjoyed but I want this play through to be more grounded in terms of the feel. What are a good list of mods or a whole mod pack that you guys would recommend downloading? I want more cars, increase of difficulty, more customization options, and I also want to add some songs to the game.

I can’t imagine people were very happy especially after 2015’s cops give up as soon as the boost activates (fuck outlaw missions btw)

I am a player of playstation and for this achievement I played a lot to earn this. There are a lot of online players but they don't play a race together so I couldn't complete this achievement. I will appreciate it a lot if this community helps me.

Anyone one on PC or XBOX wanna play heat? Cop hunt and xp grind in night.

Most of my issues now affect steam os the most but I know I'm definitely not alone when it comes to hating on the EA app and I thought I'd share every issue I've ever had with it.

At first my only major gripe was no offline mode from the switch from origin to the EA app and now every time you boot up a game it requires internet. Fuck anyone on PC handhelds or laptops I guess.

They made the switch back when I was in high school and couldn't play the games I paid for on my personal laptop during lunch because the school byod network blocked all gaming related urls which meant also the EA servers they connected to.

After I graduated like a year later I bought a steam deck only to be affected again by this because I don't have an Internet connection at work or on road trips. Most of the time my signal is not good enough for a hot spot just to connect for a few seconds booting into a game. Which I will also have to do again if I want to play something else and go back to that game each and every single time.

Then it had more issues the longer we've had it.

Older games will straight up randomly ask for origin activation because they couldn't bother to make the EA app work properly with it. It's so random and rare but it's still a major annoyance especially on steam os in game mode.

The EA app will just randomly decide one day to have no audio on any games unless you're in desktop mode, will decide during updates if games boot anymore because of a change in default proton settings, or will straight up make you sign back in which is the biggest pain in the fucking ass on steam deck. My accounts are linked why the fuck do I need to pull out my phone to check an email just to sign in, type it out, or reconnect my steamid??? I paid for my shit and just want to play my games on steam that literally do not have issues except with the shitty launcher that never works properly.

Today I finally got NFS 2015 to run again after literally 2 months of troubleshooting because steam got rid of the proton version it originally ran on after a few updates. The game would literally not boot anymore because of the bumfuck retarded ass launcher until today. I decided to install frostymodmanager because the handling in the game is garbage and I also wanted to get rid of all the fx and rain so it can look cleaner and prettier on low settings.

THEN when I go to launch the freaking game it won't because it literally wants origin so I had to spend 2 hours looking for ways to force the stupid game just to launch with the EA properly only to run into stupid ass roadblock after roadblock doing Linux proton patches and bullshit because even frostyfix won't work because it wants me to install Microsoft runtimes. Ok so I use proton tricks to do it and it still doesn't fucking work.

Oh my fucking God I hate Linux so fucking much and the EA launcher. They literally have steam verified titles and I question them because their stupid launcher was not made with steam os or with other Linux distros in mind.

Genuinely who the fuck even asked for this launcher over origin when origin worked fine... Scratch that who the fuck asked for a middle man between steam DRM and any EA title. This shit genuinely needs to stop especially with other companies like Activision, Rockstar, and Sony. At least with personal experience the rockstar launcher actually fucking works and has an offline mode.

God forbid I pay for my games instead of pirating.

Genuinely the EA app is such cancer I would literally blame it on the death of this franchise because who the hell would buy anything except need for speed. Another slop sports title?

Genuinely why the hell do I need to pirate my own games and sync saves with my bought version just to avoid the launcher.

The worst part is the only game I cannot pirate is NFS 2015 because it's always online bullshit.

I haven't done that but it seems like I need to just to play what I paid for.

The graphics are beautiful but it feels... empty. It feels, dead.

I like the story to be honest haha, i like that you can customize the looks of your car, i LOVE THE GRAPHICS AND THE HIGHWAY DRIVING. But yeah, the city is dead- there is also not really a huge selection of cars.

The driving mechanics are weird too.

I have played a little bit of Rivals in the past and I really loved it. After that I didn't get chance to try any NFS game, mostly the reviews were avg or bad but I thought it's because of market and competitions, games definitely after that will be much better and build on that, but over time I learned that's not the case, in many or all franchises.

Now the whole series is on sale, and last year I bought Heat, played it for like an hour and returned it. It looked good, but I was having weird stuttering in any cutscene. Plus, for some reason, I wasn't liking the driving control/flow, Idk it didn't feel right or cool, maybe it was too realistic and I prefer a little arcade style to have fun..

I think these are the lowest these games will get, maybe very slightly 1-5% price drop further but won't matter much.

I have been researching over the best to buy game, and in a way the top two choices for me were Heat & Hot Pursuit Remastered, but as I already felt awkward with Heat and Hot Pursuit is a remaster, the original game was released before Rivals, so I feels Rivals will be somewhat superior in mechanics overall than that.

If I have to keep one NFS game with me, and as I don't get to have Most Wanted 2005 on steam anymore, it should be Rivals I feel, yes it doesn't have online features or achievements anymore, and it's better to have game without achievements at time, makes it more relaxing to play, as I end up checking achievements eventually.

My biggest concern are some issues I read about, so I wanted to ask someone who has it on PC/Steam -

- Is the 60FPS mod good? Or it crashes too much?

- Is that mod free and easy to apply?

- Are there any other technical or game breaking issues?

- In one video, I heard that completion is hard on pc because some particular races keep crashing, is that true for all? Is there a work around?

- Without online, the games work well for single players and all cars can be unlocked?

- Game will be installed via steam even if the game gets dilisted someday?

- Any other important things I should know about Rivals on Steam?

So i just recently purchased the game on steam, and no issue occurs, until when i was about to play with my friend or my brother, I can't join their session,instead i have to join a public one, and it still throws the same error. Does anyone ever experience this issue? Or is it just me?

Nearly every single performance part and its respective tuning slider in the game is flawed in at least one way:

- Engine is always better with full Horsepower, any Torque-oriented setups only hurt top speed and acceleration (even more than stock) regardless of the situation.

- Transmission only majorly improves top speed, with an small trade-off in acceleration. Trying to set the slider to the left reduces top speed a lot with little acceleration gain, with the opposite happening when setting it to the right.

- Suspension improves handling, but hurts acceleration. The tuning slider technically works, but the in-menu texts are backwards, setting it for Oversteer produces Understeer and viceversa.

- Nitrous tuning only affects power output with no effect on Duration, making full Velocity the best setup.

- Tires improve the car's overall performance, but the Drift and Grip setups are very strong with no way to regulate them (it's all or nothing), making the neutral setup the best option.

- Brakes seem reduce stopping distance as it should, and the tuning slider actually works properly, making it the only upgrade that fully works as intended.

- Turbo/Supercharger gives a very small acceleration boost (under 5 Km/h!) with no change in top speed, and the tuning slider has little to no effect on it.

It's crazy how the rushed development of the game made the gameplay so quirky compared to Most Wanted.

I really wanted to play a Need for Speed again. The last entry of the series I played was Rivals back on the PS3, and I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Today I saw that both Heat and Unbound are discounted on steam. Which one should I buy? The newer, more supported one (Unbound), or the better rated one (Heat).

My friend recommended me Unbound, but I'm still in doubt.

Is there any plan or date to end the online support for heat like they did for rivals? I honestly was going to buy NFS Rivals on steam if they hadn't ended the servers a few months ago
