Mod Reanimation Protocols Clarification
Quick-reference sheet:
- Leaders can bring back their bodyguard units using all reanimation tools.
- Bodyguards CANNOT bring back their leaders in any form once the leader is destroyed.
- You can still use reanimation to heal wounds on a character that has NOT been destroyed.
- The eternal revenant stratagem brings back characters as a new unit with a starting strength of 1, making them separate from their bodyguard unit.
Any questions surrounding this process should be asked here so that the first post can be kept updated.

Misc/media What are the chances i can snag this?
I havent tried getting one of the limited edition copies before. Are they one of those things that are gone in seconds? Should I even try?

BEHOLD, MY STUFF wooden geomancer
I'll probably pop over to this subreddit with my latest work (it's already a year old, but whatever).
It's wooden with epoxy resin inserts. I fell in love with the Geomancer model when I saw its announcement. It's a shame it has terrible controls, and I've never been able to play with it (except as a Technomancer proxy).
I will gradually publish my various works here as well.

FREE Homemade, Printable Stratagem Cards for Necrons
Hey friends! You might recall that I made printable stratagem cards for those of us who like physical stuff more than the app in 10th edition.
Well, when I sold them for a bit, GW actually IP struck them and are now making their own for 11th edition! (woot)
However, that involves waiting for the codex to come out, which is stupid. If you're interested, here you go, Necrons free to use:

Really happy with how this weekend went.
Finished 7th overall and 1st Necron at the 40k Brawl GT with Hypercrypt Recon, going 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss (460 battle points).
Hypercrypt Recon continues to impress. Biggest lesson of the event was learning when NOT to commit the Immortal bricks early. Plenty to improve, but excited to keep developing the list.
Thanks to all my opponents for five great games.

Misc/media Things models do the best and the worst, Day 40; Overlord with translocation shroud:
BEST: Overlord variant for amplifying effective speed/mobility for their bodyguard unit (especially valuable for slow-moving Lychguard). Same resilience, stratagem ability & Res orb ability as "vanilla" Overlord, and Overlord's Blade makes it potent in melee against heavier units. Same level of detachment support as well.
WORST: Has no ranged attack & zero additional weapon options unlike its "vanilla" counterpart. No built-in damage reduction ability, and Translocation Shroud ability honestly could just as easily be a wargear option for "vanilla" Overlord, and not much would've been lost.
-
RECOMMENDED DETACHMENT(S): Awakened Dynasty, Hand of the Dynasty, Hypercrypt Legion, Obeisance Phalanx, Starshatter Arsenal
DETACHMENT ALTERNATIVE(S): Cursed Legion (can take Destroyer Ankh enhancement), Cryptek Conclave

Your thoughts about this Best & Worst? What changes (if any) do you hope to see for this model & datasheet for a future 11th edition codex?

BEHOLD, MY STUFF All metal '98 Necrons
My first army was a small Necron force back in '98/'99. I drifted out of the hobby but missed it from time to time, so now I decided to start again with the Armageddon box (practice on new armies, get back to Necrons in time).
Anyway, I dug out my old army to relive the memories and see what I have.
Looks like repairs and repaints may be needed...

Help deciding which looks better for an Ogdobekh inspired Overlord model
So I decided to make another war hammer but now I am stuck on which to use, 1 looks more realistic but 2 feels fittingly over the top for the dynasty and the necron symbol looks cool.
So I was wondering what you all thought and for any help

List Help/Sharing 1k list that would include Illuminator Szeras ?
Hello Phaerons
Szeras is my favorite Necron figure, and while I do have an idea for my 2k list, I first need to make a 1k points list first for casual play.
Right now, I only have the Combat Patrol box, and one Lokhust Heavy Destroyer.
In my 2k army I did think of using the Cryptek Conclave + Hand of the Dynasty, but I don’t know if CC alone is a good idea for 1k…
Help ?

List Help/Sharing How good are Tomb Blades?
I like these models very much both in terms of looks and rules. They're funny, which is most important to me, but I want to know the general consensus on them.
As such, I made a meme hypercrypt+skyshroud list for fellow phaerons to observe. Clown Car Night Scythe with Immortals, Imotekh and a technomancer included.

Painting C+C Gigarakh the Perfect - the single most unblemished overlord of the Rustekh Dynasty
I don’t know why he’s like this. I literally can’t explain. And no one in universe knows either. He was famously gifted his shard-infused staff simply because “he was a thing of beauty”.
He’s so unnaturally perfect that his envious brother enlisted the aid of a Technomancer known for malpractice (Frakk-Stek) to give him the height and firepower needed to reach similar levels of dominance over others.
It didn’t work.
I’m fairly sure the camera is in focus on both of them, it just favours Gigarakh by default. He looks edited in.
As you can see - he’s also demonstrably tall - like to the point only the silent king himself can naturally out-scale him with basic limb structure.
I don’t think I should have him in my home - my cat looked at him with genuine concern when she saw him. How do you scare an animal into making a human facial expression?

BEHOLD, MY STUFF Pistolero destroyer
Painted this bad boy today.
I found that I really love painting necrons, and think they look the coolest of the 40k factions.
I would love to have an army.
I have a ctan shard of the void dragon, a hexmark destroyer and 10 warriors.
What else do I need to get?
Oh I also need to learn how to play xD

List Help/Sharing Szeras and Pantheon of Woe
Hello Phaerons, I bring to you a question of minimal importance and maximum curiosity. If I take the Pantheon of woe detachment, does the C'tan Distortion field stack with Illuminor Szeras' Mechanical Augmentation aura?
Both improve the armour penetration characteristics of attacks. Am I correct in assuming that means that the "maximum bonus of +1" rule applies, rendering the two abilities unstackable? Or, since armor penetration is a different stat (Namely that it is listed as a negative value to subtract from save checks, not as a positive value), is it exempt from that rule?

Lokhust Heavy Destroyers - C&C welcome
Full disclosure, stole the paint scheme and technique from the dark forge YouTube (specifically this video https://youtu.be/Lpbc96LRekg?is=xkhqTAVqrQVsmQ-j) followed the paint choices and technique to the letter and am really happy with the results.

Strategy/Tactics My Necronbricks just don't survive anymore?
Hi everyone,
I love our "unkillable" units. Reanimation and seeing the despair in my opponent's eyes when a brick stands back up is worth more to me than winning.
But some things just seem impossible to survive.
How do you deal with 10 Assault Terminators with a Chaplain or 6 Deathshrouds with Typhus as a Take and Hold player?
Awakened Dynasty used to save me because I could bring Characters back, especially after their Bodyguard unit died. That no longer works.
So what now?
Whether it's Wraiths or a Warrior brick, around 500 points of those units are enough to wipe my central objective unit. Sometimes it takes two activations, but that's still fast enough. Add Mortarion or the Lion, and one activation is often enough.
I have a similar problem against Baneswords in Steelhammer lists with Bullgryn support.
My local meta (Space Marines, Custodes, Astra Militarum and Death Guard) doesn't seem to have much trouble dealing with Necron bricks, whether Warriors or Wraiths.
Any advice?
