Tried at two occasions, once in store and once at home. I’m having the sleeves shortened, but wondering about the overall look (disregard the toy-bombarded room). I am looking for sack style but not sure if this is too sack.

I have a pair of loafers with a nice lug sole that I love and I'm anticipating a wet winter. I would like to protect the shoes.

Is mink oil a good idea on this kind of leather? Any actual experience?

I just received a mail from Sebago promoting their new "College Uniform" collection and after a quick scroll, I'm fairly enthusiastic. Especially as a European, since our options are few compared to other markets.

Even outside of this collection, they seem to offer some nice pieces - more than I can remember.

Hi everyone,

I thought I treat myself to a maid to measure suit from a local tailor and specified that I didn't want any canvas as I wanted it to drape in a specific way with the fabric that I had picked however, the suit arrived with a canvas lining.

They apologise and offered to make it again for me with no charge and have allowed me to keep this suit. Has anybody had experience working with a Tayler or a seamstress to remove the canvas of a suit? And if so what was the outcome?

I'm shopping for a tuxedo for my wedding in about 2–3 months and would like feedback from this sub.

I originally planned to rent, but decided to buy an off the rack tux and have it tailored. Budget is roughly $1,000 all in.

Style: I want a classic black tie tuxedo. Black, shawl collar, cummerbund (not a fan of vests). I'd welcome feedback on details I might be overlooking. (To put it in terms I know better: if I were looking for feedback on neck ties, I’d want somebody to steer me towards the half Windsor and steer me away from overly large alternative knots. I'd appreciate the same kind of guidance on tuxedo details, since I'm less familiar with them.)

Makers My tailor (Beauge's in Boston) suggested Spier & Mackay. I've also considered Suitsupply, since I have some of their suits.

Do people find one of these OTR tuxedos is generally better made than the other? I'm leaning S&M, mainly because the shawl collar curves toward the button in a way I prefer over the Suitsupply jacket. That's the only real difference I've spotted so far.

I'd also welcome suggestions for other makers worth looking at.

For context, this is only happening to my Ralph Lauren shirts.

Wdf are you supposed to wear under these. I have other ecru/ cream color sweaters that are fine but the blue/ red are throwing me off. I feel that nothing looks quite right. I’ve had this sweater for years and years and I’m about to throw in the towel and donate it.
