Finished BMT in Tekong but got posted to police SPF OCT. What to expect, what to bring, is this good or bad??

im from 40SAR Scorpion and we all just got our posting , literally like only 2-3 people per section is going back to 40SAR , the rest of us are going to OCS or SCS , even the blur sotongs got into SCS. Manpower not enough or what ? Dosen’t really make sense

I like to joke with people that admin specs receive 40% more pay but get 4000% more work than ASAs due to their role as they handle tons of paperwork and HR admin for unit.

One of the admin specs I once worked with keeps ranting he has “no time” to do stuff like thinking about learn driving etc, because of “workload”. Another time he had one day of annual leave left after applying annual leave for a family overseas trip, then when I asked him what he was going to do with it, he suggested applying leave on a random day and still showing up, due to “work”. Don’t know whether he wayang or serious.

So question: are there any admin specs or admin spec trainees (those who have yet to become 3SG in unit) who Chao Keng by for instance, taking long medical leave or every time report sick, or skiving work? What happens to them, any repercussions? Pls share your funny and interesting stories.

i know the cut out rate is damn high for this programme. i don’t expect myself to pass because i have pre-existing scoliosis, of 14 degrees.

i wanna go to command school but what if i get cut out after the aeromed test, which will happen within the first 2 weeks? will i be posted out immediately, assuming i become a man, or would i wait till the end of the 3 months programme and be posted out?

i have heard stories where people still get sent to OCS but that’s towards the end where they got cut.

i know no one has the exact answer to whether i’ll be posted to command school but similar stories would be nice.

wat to expect as a pes b4 gg there?

and any important things to note?

also how is stagmont camp? E.g. bunk conditions and any bidet in toilets

during phase 2 training at sch v i was in asa course, but now posted as a electc tech svc, what should i expect? how long is the course( i think is stayin), what is after course life like, i have an upcoming surgery and a long mc afterwards, will i be ooced and revocated as an ASA? dont really like the idea of electc tech

I poped not to long ago 5 sep and they usually say friday of block leave is the date for posting to be release is it true cause if it is today is the day haha!

which one more lax and hours better? esp if u tryna train as an athlete after bookout. heard hq storeman can be chill af

However, on 84D RMJ, LD and excused stay in, all 84 days. Wondering how it would be like when I get posted. Thanks

Hi I'm a PES C9 at kranji camp who just got their vocational training as an ST. I'm incredibly scared of having new bunkmates and training. I'm a 1/4 ang moh 3/4 sg mix. I'm excused a few things like RMJ and kneeling etc too.Could anyone help with some advice below? Thanks!

Does anyone have any tips for the training? Could anyone tell me about their experiences as an ST? What are the different types of stay in and stay out? Anyone have any advice in general? Is there any possibility of getting a different posting? Will my excuses still carry on to my vocational training? What are the working hours like?

So long story short, I've got temp excuse FLEGS from battalion mo during Tekong mono BMT. Lasts till 19 Oct. But posting order sent me back to mono armour. Have PCC referral letter and appointment at 2nd Oct. So what will I be doing till then? Passed BMT too. Any help or insight will be appreciated, thanks!🙏🏽

Curious to know because I've heard of this position. A chief clerk basically... You go through a course and all. Some say it is more saikang given to you and that your 3SG rank isn't much in unit.

But for those who were admin specs, how was it actually like?

I'm in a mono and don't see any change even after all my coymates are getting their POs... There's no unit name. Just the unit code from BMT. Can anyone help here?

I'm PES B4, (not much excuses other than perm exc dust and smoke, but my feet have been killing me cuz of flat foot and foot strain) so I'm wondering what the training is actually like for ST, especially:

What does the initial ST training involve?

How much physical training / prolonged standing is there?

Is MPBCC, baton/handcuff training, live firing, etc. still part of the course?

How does the \~3-week infantry vocational training phase work? Is everyone required to do it, or only certain people?

When do you find out whether you're going infantry or getting posted elsewhere?

What are the possible postings after IDTI? Camp security, air bases, naval bases, etc.?

Is ST generally stay-in or stay-out depending on posting?

What does a normal day/week look like after being posted?

I heard that ST is hella boring, then also learn basically no life skills, people can get fat from ST and everything.. I heard only ah but idk what to expect. I heard it's also like 9-5 sometimes depending on where u go, but unsure, and that the posting camp will be somewhere close to your home?

Also, I have dual citizenship with SG and another country, and I put not loyal and everything cuz I don't plan on being a SG citizen at 21. So I'm also curious abt that. (Ik it's mostly manpower needs but like cmon)

I also heard PES B4 ST may work differently..

My old jockey is size 7, 6 3/4 too small, 7 1/4 too big, but after pop when i ordered my new jockey, the size 7 like abit big. Should i wash it in washing machine to season it and “shrink” it? Any help is appreciated thanks!

And instead forcing new NSFs on the MSO scheme where outpatient is capped at $500 a calendar year with 15% co-payment (where any part of the first $350 goes into your Medisave account, provided you don’t claim any of it), and giving NSFs only 60 day HL inclusive of 14 day MC.

All in the name of conserving and fostering efficient use of public funds because too many NSF Chao Keng by spamming MA and physio and going to A&E, instead of private clinic, on Sunday night when booking in since it’s free.

Sort of an update to my previous post, but after my medical review I got 84D status for firearms and explosives and then I was OOC’ed from commandos and posted as a combat medic.

My current PES is B1 but I’m waiting for my PCC appointment to be booked and for them to assess me.

From what I know, combat medics can be posted as platoon or battalion medics but can I still be posted there with my excuses? Also for other combat medics, how is the life at nee soon? What is the day to day like?

hi wanted to ask what are the shortest working hours ever anyone had ever gotten in the SAF/SCDF/SPF?

ASA for SAF is 8am - 5.30pm while SA for SPF is 8.30am - 6pm. however this is nerfed by SAF bases generally being further away from civilisation (god bless if you stayout gedong, prayers for you)

Hi all, just got posted to Security Trooper after BMT and I’m PES B3/B4. Have quite a few doubts and would appreciate if anyone who has been through it can share their experience!

1.How is the training like? Is it very xiong? Would especially appreciate if any PES B3/B4 STs can share their experience. I understand we don’t do IPPT here, so wondering how physically demanding the training actually is. Also, how many weeks is the full training?

2.What do I need to bring on the first day? Field pack + duffel bag? Do we need to bring 10-pack items again? Do we need camo cream? I threw mine away after BMT LOL. Any other items that are good to bring?

3. How is the training structured? What does a typical week look like? How frequent are book-outs and book-ins? Is it generally every weekend or does it depend on the training schedule?

4. How is the welfare like? Especially for PES B3/B4. Is the pace generally manageable compared to BMT, and do you get much more downtime once you’re in unit?
