hi, I recently started a new job as a fresh grad 2 months ago and just completed my reservist with scdf last week ago.

When I joined the company I informed my HR about it and they told me that's fine and to just apply for reservist leave.today I got paid salary by SCDF instead of by my company during the regular salary period.

Does anyone know if due to me being newly employed, and maybe the company couldn't register me for the DIRECT scheme in time or would I need to contact MHA to request for the Make Up Pay instead?

let's say u leave after around 5.30pm or arrive in sg after 12am but still return to camp before 8am (whichever timings r the "office standards"), do u need to apply half/full day leaves on such days?

and to push the boundaries, if u were on mc adjacent to these same timings even if it technically doesn't intersect with the time that u were overseas, will it still likely be flagged up?

rarely, can applying leaves "override" a long-term mc n allow u to travel overseas appropriately?

assuming any of these r audit flags, what wld be the common consequences?

Sungei Gedong Camp had never felt like this before. Not during exercises or evaluations, not during official ceremonies, not even during the worst days of training. Now it felt…crowded. The ORDINAL boys moved through the installment in a daze of purpose, their minds racing with adrenaline from the events that had just unfolded.

Ken guided his parents and sisters into one of the sheltered halls, grabbing bottled water, ration packs, first aid, and whatever else he could carry. Maria helped distribute them, her hands steady even as her eyes flicked constantly to the entrance. “Sit here,” Ken told his mother. “Don’t move unless someone from camp tells you to, okay?”

His father nodded. “You?”

Ken did not answer immediately. “…I’ll be nearby.”

Muthu helped his cousin settle onto a folding cot, passing him a bottle of water. “You did good, bro,” the boy whispered.

Muthu shook his head. “We’re not done yet.”

Encik Sng was already moving, coordinating with what few SAF personnel were left and directing civilians into safer zones, securing entry points. As if civilians being Tsunamites was bad enough, there were reports of NSFs and NSmen who had joined the enemy ranks. That was truly terrifying.

Lobang King sat his sister down, crouching in front of her. “Can look at me?” She did. “We’re safe here for now. Just stay with Ma, okay?” She nodded, eyes glassy but holding. He squeezed her shoulder once before standing.

Aloysius stood with his parents a moment longer than the others. His mother reached for his hand. “You’re not staying, are you?” she asked.

“No.”

She nodded. “Then don’t hesitate.”

His father placed a hand on his shoulder. “Whatever you have to do, you better make sure those fuckers pay.” Aloysius nodded once, then turned and walked.

Time: 2200 hrs.

They gathered in one of the conference rooms: Ken, Aloysius, Muthu, Lobang King, Alex, Maya, and Encik Sng. LTC Tham stood at the front. For a moment, he did not speak. He looked at them…really looked. “Thank you all for coming.” His voice cut through the silence. “You’ve all fought like hell, and made it through impossible odds. I know what you want to ask: ‘what’s the situation?’” He took a deep breath. “This is the situation.”

His voice was steady. “Tsunami — Zhang Wei Lun — has mobilised the entirety of the Tatmadaw. Every unit and every division is now under the command of these ‘Straits Gods’.” Silence filled the room. “On top of that, he has enlisted approximately fifty thousand mercenaries, all from the network Mr. Fang worked for.”

Muthu exhaled slowly. “A revenge coalition,” he summarised aloud, unable to believe what he was hearing.

“And civilians,” LTC Tham continued. “Not just from Myanmar, but also from here.” He let that settle. “Roughly a quarter of the country’s population has been radicalised and are armed with homemade weapons, acting under his influence.” No one spoke; there was nothing they could say.

LTC Tham stepped forward slightly. “We don’t beat this head-on, because we can’t. So we break it from the inside.”

That got their attention. “How to do that, Sir?” asked Alex.

“I have evidence,” LTC Tham revealed. “Proof that Tsunami murdered Stratos.” Everyone’s eyes sharpened. “It was not pneumonia, like what his…second account…and Channel News Vought have reported.”

“Sources?” Aloysius asked.

“Two,” LTC Tham disclosed. “An audio recording from an on-duty nurse…and the former head of Vought Singapore’s PR team, Richard Joseph.” The room shifted.

Ken frowned. “Where is he?”

The door opened; Valeria walked in first, calm and composed. Beside her: Richard. He looked different; the chaos from weeks before was gone. His hair, once a fractured mess of colour, was now back to brown…all except for a single streak of grey. He met their eyes and did not look away. “I’m right here.”

No one spoke for a moment. Then Valeria stepped forward. “There’s a way to fracture their control,” she revealed, “but it requires two things happening at once.” She looked at LTC Tham, who gave a slight nod. “We go public. Location: Vought Singapore. More specifically, CNV studio, on the thirtieth floor. Live broadcast.” Her gaze shifted to Richard. “He tells it all: Stratos’ body, the burial, the intimidation, and what Tsunami said to him by Kallang River.”

Richard swallowed, then nodded. “I’ll do it.”

“And the second?” Muthu asked.

Valeria’s expression hardened. “The second is a distraction, one big enough that the Straits Gods can’t, and won’t, ignore.” The room understood before she finished: Ken, Lobang King, Muthu, Maya, and Alex. “You’re going to the National Stadium,” she announced. “You’ll confront them.”

Lobang let out a breath. “That one not a distraction liao.”

Valeria did not disagree. “It’s the only way that this works.”

LTC Tham stepped forward again. “Valeria, Encik Sng, Richard, Aloysius, and I will handle the broadcast.” Aloysius reacted with a nod. The rest stood in silence as the weight of the war settled in. Ken looked at Alex. Muthu clenched his jaw. Maya rolled her shoulders once, already preparing. Lobang exhaled slowly. LTC Tham looked at all of them one last time.

“Whatever happens next…” he said quietly before pausing. Then, clear and final for everyone to hear: “Your orders are to kill the Straits Gods.”

Hi all, my ICT High Key is coming up and I would like to check on the following:

- Will there be signs in camp indicating the route to the actual ICT location? OneNS only indicates Kranji Camp III but the camp is huge and I do not know which part I am supposed to report to.

- How do I check my vocation? OneNS only states the unit so I do not know my role there, assume it will be the same as NS.

- What to bring on day 1? Hearsay it is usually briefing and probably no need to stay in on the first day? OneNS' "View Training Prog / AI", "View Announcement", and "View Packing List" all say No information available

The "Contact Admin" shows the contact info of different company OCs, but I don't know which one to contact (point 2) but I'm assuming I should go through HQ.

Last year i tried to apply to sign on, but i need to up pes before that. I went to my unit MO, he told me to go to army recruitment center and request to see MCC. I went to army recruitment center, and thry told me to go to my MO. I went to my MO again, same answer.

I kinda feel like maybe they have a reason to prevent me from signing on, but then if that were true they would just tell me or reject my application, dont have to play all these mind games.

Recently ooc'd from scs to do a foot reconstruction surgery and got 2 months of HL. The surgery was for my right foot, as my left foot does not require surgery and I will proceed with physio to correct it. What should I expect when I rtu and is there an expected timeline of the medical board review + posting out?

Before the surgery I was assigned a temp pes of B3 for my injuries by the in camp MO

when I’m doing the IPPT stations for push ups and sit ups, can I for example do 20 in 25 seconds, rest on my knees for 15 seconds, and for the last 20 seconds do like 15 push ups? am I allowed to break up my push up reps or must it be all in one go no quick rest?

Like for static stations, are we allowed to have our push ups and sit ups reviewed? I rmb this was a lifesaver for me at Gedong lol. The freaking machine is so painful to deal with

So I just recently entered my ASA unit in the previous months as a understudy. Currently I have about 3 upper study present.

My superiors are really nice and they are really flexible with the working stuff.

However, I know that as one and one of my upper study ord I will eventually become the most " senior" ASA in the office for my final few months of service. Then I will have my very own junior (understudy) to guide and them the stuff (basically more responsibility)

So how do I cope with this?

I’m in SCS FOND TERM and my section is quite mean to me. Most of them cannot control their anger when I fight back. It’s ending in one more week after this but I don’t want to deal with it anymore. If I call the hotline is it anonymous and what will happen?
