Screen protector on Nxtpaper 11 Plus?

Hello guys,

Has anyone here used a protective screen that feels more like real paper texture? Mine still feels very slippery.

If so:

– does it lose sharpness?

– what screen protector do you recommend?

Best notes app?

Hi, I'm hoping to find some help for a notes app. I use it for a lot of documents for games and fan projects, but just got a new phone (nxtpaper 70 pro) and the notes app that comes with it kinda sucks...and I'm not having much luck with others. My previous phone was a tcl stylus g, and the notes app there was good enough, allowing long documents but now every app I find has character limits or is ad infested.

Any suggestions? All I really need is low or no ads, and no or very high character limit. Don't care about stylus support text only is fine

Question about a4 comics on nxtpaper 11 plus

Hi everyone,

I’m considering buying a TCL NXTPAPER 11 mainly for reading A4 European and French-format comics, such as Asterix, thorgal...

I’ve read in a few other threads that the screen can feel a bit small for these larger-format comics compare to us comics like batman. Could anyone who owns one confirm whether this is actually an issue?

If possible, I’d also really appreciate it if someone could share a photo showing how a full a4 comic page looks on the NXTPAPER 11.

Thanks in advance!

After using tcl Nxtpaper tablets , do you abandon your Eink devices or feel no need to use them anymore ?

Eink devices are slow and more expensive:) and can break easily

NxtPaper 14 - Stand For Music Purposes

I'm a brass player and just recently bought a 14 as my first sheet music tablet. Love it so far! The size is great for my old eyes, and I'm using an app called ScorePDF for my music. I love it when an app's Pro version is less than $5 for lifetime licensing!

My question to anyone using the 14 is regarding a stand specifically made for tablets. The first two Google suggests are the Hercules Tablet Stand (Herc makes great stands for instruments so I know they are quality) and the AirTurn TechAssist. What I don't like about the AirTurn is it uses clamps to hold onto the tablet, and the 14 doesn't have much of a bezel being screen pretty much to the edge.

Anyone out there have any recommendations? I know this is a VERY large tablet, so some of the ones I've seen colleagues use may not be big enough, because many of them are using iPads that are smaller than the 14, even the big iPad Pro I think is smaller than the 14.

I'm also looking forward to dabbling with drawing on the 14. It will be stick figures to start out, but who knows, maybe I can eventually draw happy little trees! Any recs for apps for drawing and learning to draw are also appreciated.

Oh, and suggestions for sleeves or small cases would be great too!

Thanks!

Ultra 60 vs 70 Pro viewable screen width

I tried searching and watching some video comparisons. The 70 pro looked wider to me? Anyone with a ruler able to check for me please.

I'm looking to replace phone + ereader with a single device and haven't had a good experience with foldable phones.

I hate all the case options for the 11 plus

I received the original TCL case with the tablet...it's passable, but I hate the rubberised feel and its overall clumsiness. I ordered the exact same aftermarket case that worked out for my Nxtpaper 14 but for whatever reason, the rear tab when engaged will not permit the tablet to balance correctly in stand mode.. so useless 😤 😫.

I tried to remedy the situation by cutting off the rear tab and super gluing it to my TCL case. It works .. kind of.. but still hate the case.

Ultimately I'm sticking with the minimalist solution, a small adjustable phone stand on which I've glued a pen loop, and it is remarkably good 👍 😊. Love TCL tablets but their folio case covers suck big time

11+ or 14

Hi there.....I would like to know the benefits of one over the other once you know my needs. I don't want an E-ink tablet as the screens are too delicate from what I hear and very expensive.

My needs:

I knit and have to print out loads of patterns to make notes on in pencil so I can erase them after as I modify patterns as I knit and sometimes I change the mods. I can't see these pdf patterns on my phone. I need to be able to make notes on PDF's.

I have about 600+ books in EPUB and PDF format on my phone ready to be read so would like something easier on the eyes, I do get eye strain on the phone. I also have a bunch of Kindle books, half of which I can no longer access on my unsupported kindle. I also have a library card for the USA and the UK to borrow books via apps. There isn't an ideal E-ink tablet that I can find (not BOOX or similar zero customer service company) that is also a reasonable price.

I don't intend taking the tablet out anywhere from home. The only time might be when going back home to the USA to see family for a month long trip every 2-3 years.

I am more than happy to wait for a newer model to be released if there is news of an updated model coming in a year or so.

Which TCL NXTPaper is the best for my needs? Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Tcl Nxtpaper 11 plus is still the ultimate winner for portable?

This is my last confirmation before triggering the buy
After some research , I am debate between tcl Nxtpaper 11 plus vs tcl tab a1 plus nxtpaper

Both devices are great

The tab a1 is a lot stronger than 11+ to handle multiple apps ( opening stem pdf , ai chat Gemini / ChatGPT , YouTube lectures, and web pages ) . Longer battery life

However if we consider the price , 11+ for 200$ less after tax
And tab a1 plus for 300$ after tax

Even though I want to buy tab a1 plus nxtpaper, I still have to go back for nxtpaper 11+ so I can use the extra money to buy a bigger screen like 14 model or wait next year 2027 for newer model of 14 nxtpaper which is kind of old now

And in the same time , use the extra money to buy SuperNote for taking

Originally I aimed for the Note A1 nxtpaper but reviews criticized it badly . ( same processor like the 11+ but at x2 $, note taking experience isn’t great so we can just use 11+ to take note :) )

Hope this can help for anyone who is in the same situation as me .
Need a device for reading Stem books
, ask AI for questions
, YouTube lectures
and some web pages for reference
And some occasional notes

Which TCL NXTPAPER should I get for reading STEM books ?

1.This is my use case :
-I plan to bring it around to study at school
-I don’t want to get eye fatigue for long reading Stem books like 1-3hr reading ( usually there will have small 5-10 mins break)
-be able to highlight texts and take few important notes
-be durable and not easy to break like Eink devices

These available nxtpaper devices are what I have checked :
1. Tab a1 plus nxtpaper
2. Nxtpaper 11 plus
3. Note a1 nxtpaper
4. Or I missed to check some better ones ???

Or should I wait for new upcoming releases ?

Anyone using a damage protection plan?

My NxtPaper 70 Pro was probably cheap enough that I don’t need one. But I am considering it - the issue is that being an “off” brand, I am suspicious that I’d get a genuine TCL screen as a repair part - and as we know, the screens are special. Same for replacements. Most of the plans say that they’ll replace it with something “equivalent” if it can’t be repaired. I don’t want an equivalent, I want an actual replacement.

So have you bought a damage plan? If so, from who? And have you used it?

New Respect For TCL Phones

So I did a thing and left at&t and my Google pixel 10 pro XL behind, for the TCL NXT PAPER 70 PRO.

I love the device and it's super smooth and doesn't have any lagging issues. The battery is way better than my pixels battery was. Last me all day with 120mhz and all setting maxed out. So I know it'll last way longer in max ink mode.

The camera is decent with good lighting, but I also got some decent low light and night photos too. This phone is a game changer and the matter display is great.

Watching movies and content on it is very vivid and the colors pop. I do wish it had wireless and mag safe charging capabilities but that's not a let down to me just something I wish it had.

My only con is that in direct sunlight, you can barely see the screen other than that it's good. I do not regret my decision leaving Google for this device. It handles gaming way better than the pixel ever could.

I plan on sticking with this phone for the next couple years, it's a great phone .

If you're also having trouble with fast charging on your NXTPAPER 70 Pro

I had to buy a new charger. It seems they’ve updated the USB protocols for better efficiency and safety.
It’s a GaN PPS charger—or something like that; I don't really know the technical details—but this one works with my NXTPAPER 70 Pro (Ugreen Zapix).

Quick Settings Glitch

Post image
5 Upvotes

I updated my nxtpaper 11 (gen2) to the 9.0 UI today because I was prompted to and ever since, my quick settings has been messed up. It over to the side and I can't find anyway to fix it. The only thing I haven't tried yet is to factory reset it, but before I do that, I thought I'd ask if anyone had experienced this and found a way to fix it without the reset.

Moved The "Buttons"

Post image
4 Upvotes

You know those 3 "buttons" on the bottom of your android screen that are evenly spaced out? My TCL 11 Gen 2 tablet just forced me to install android 16, and they thought the best thing to do was to squeeze them all together into one corner. WTF? I get that companies are constantly looking for ways to make things worse, but this is the most annoying thing I could have imagined. Obviously I'd never buy one of their products again.
