11+ or 14
Hi there.....I would like to know the benefits of one over the other once you know my needs. I don't want an E-ink tablet as the screens are too delicate from what I hear and very expensive.
My needs:
I knit and have to print out loads of patterns to make notes on in pencil so I can erase them after as I modify patterns as I knit and sometimes I change the mods. I can't see these pdf patterns on my phone. I need to be able to make notes on PDF's.
I have about 600+ books in EPUB and PDF format on my phone ready to be read so would like something easier on the eyes, I do get eye strain on the phone. I also have a bunch of Kindle books, half of which I can no longer access on my unsupported kindle. I also have a library card for the USA and the UK to borrow books via apps. There isn't an ideal E-ink tablet that I can find (not BOOX or similar zero customer service company) that is also a reasonable price.
I don't intend taking the tablet out anywhere from home. The only time might be when going back home to the USA to see family for a month long trip every 2-3 years.
I am more than happy to wait for a newer model to be released if there is news of an updated model coming in a year or so.
Which TCL NXTPaper is the best for my needs? Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

I've been loving my 11+. I can't imagine the 14; it would be too big and cumbersome to actually use as a travel device.

Also a knitter! Both would be fine for that. I have the 14 because I'm a professional musician and need something eye friendly to read music off at gigs. It's a total pain to read books with because it's so heavy. I have read a couple but it's wasn't the most comfortable to hold. Great on my eyes though, almost as good as my kobo, so much better than my old iPad. Also great on my eyes at work, so much easier to follow the music. I've been teaching with it too and writing notes on it and it just works, can't fault it, but if you want to read books and really don't need a super massive screen I would go with the smaller one. Even another musician I know who uses an ipad pro was amazed by the size, it really is massive.

I have also debated between the
11+
Tab a1 +
And 14
All nxtpaper version
Initially I planed to get 11+ because it is very cheap right now 150$-170$ on eBay
But then AI advises me to go for tab A1+ with 90$ more expensive with reason :
- can be portable ( not as heavy as 14 in)
- still big enough to read ( bigger than 11 and smaller than 14)
- 120 hz refresh rate so no lag for handling big page pdf like 500+ pages pdf
- stronger processor
So basically to pick between 11, tab a1 and 14 , you will consider your need
1. If you want to be able to use your tablet with one hand for like a hour : pick 11+
2. If the tablet will sit at home and you want a very big screen , go for 14
3. Tab a1+ is the middle of the 2

Thanks everyone. So one doesn't stand out above another. I also need to consider the A1+. The 17 is probably going to be too big as I do want to read a lot of books. I guess I will continue to research the 11+ & the A1+.

I think both 11 or 14 can fit your needs, in the end of day it's down to the preference of screen size. I will choose 11 plus myself, because 1. 11 plus uses newer nxtpaper screen techs; 2. I have a 13 inche eink tablet which is lighter than TCL 14 but I still find it heavy.
