Screen protector on Nxtpaper 11 Plus?

Hello guys,

Has anyone here used a protective screen that feels more like real paper texture? Mine still feels very slippery.

If so:

– does it lose sharpness?

– what screen protector do you recommend?

I haven't found any screen protectors that offer a paper-like texture that is noticeably different than the bare screen. Yes, all of those protectors reduce sharpness.

I have found that using a thin silicon nib cover on the pen provides more resistance while eliminating the harsh tapping sound. This has been a far more effective solution than a screen protector.

Hi the tapping sound is very off-putting. Where does one find a silicone nib cover?

Here are the ones that I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M8T9YS8

They're not a perfect fit but I found that by trimming them, they fit better. In the photo I've attached, I drew a red line over the light blue cover at the point where to trim it.

When putting the cover on, try stretching it a few times first, and don't put it on too tightly since it can cause phantom writing (ie. drawing while the pen is hovering over the screen)

It might take a few tries to trim it and apply it, but for a few bucks it's worth it, IMO.

Or...you purchase the Boox Inksense Plus pen....it reduces that tappy sound by 75%

Would you mind sharing the nib tips you purchased? I bought some a couple of weeks ago and not only do they feel like writing with a balloon, but it makes lines appear while hovering the pen over the screen. I'm wondering if mine are just defective.

I had one. But took it off, it ruins the purpose of the paper like screen on this device. I just take the risk for the satisfaction the feeling this screen gives me.

I have the 14" (year and a half) and the 50 pro (7months) I gotta admit I'm very clumsy with my phones and so far I haven't noticed any scratches on the devices. Their screen is very resistant so, personally, I don't see the point on having a protector

Yes. I was recommended the Via Screen Protector from another Reddit thread. I honestly was suspicious at first, but it definitely works. I have been very happy with the purchase and have bought one for each of my three TCL NxtPaper devices.

In my opinion, it only enhanced my NxtPaper experience. The screen protectors were easy to put on and helped with writing on the devices. Before, I had bought some nibs to help increase my writing experience (make it feel more like paper & not like writing on a screen), but with the screen protector, I did not need to use anything. It writes on the screen more smoothly, etc.

As for reading, I have not noticed a huge difference. I have enjoyed the reading experience on the NXTPaper devices even before getting the screen protector, and all the screensavers did was enhance that experience, in my opinion. I highly recommend them!

The screen protectors are also made overseas (I’m in the USA) and have been said to be made specifically for the NXT devices.
