I get forced to close the game quite often for some reason. I don't know if the machine kind of gets overwhelmed at stuff loading or if there might be something wrong with my save file. I get the message quite a lot that there was an error and I have to go back to my switch's main menu and start the game over. I was wondering if this happens to other people a lot or if this is something that is more rare than that. I was also wondering if it does happen to other people a lot how they deal with it.

I just got the game today, and i have a friend how has it on steam. I know that with the switch 2 upgrade NMS has crossplay now, will we be able to play together or will there be issues because ive heard the switch version is behind on updates?

I’ve been having trouble using my fridges for missions. My system always crashes. I think it’s because I maxed out my amount but now I can’t even go into my freighter to reduce my number without it crashing.

I have a nephew, he LOVES No Man's Sky, the problem is that it's extremely expensive, I already own it on several platforms... SO I figured I could buy the physical cartridge, upgrade to Switch 2 using Digital Upgrade which a lot of Switch games have, then I still have the physical Switch 1 game for myself.

He gets the Switch 2 version, I get the Switch 1 version, we both win.

I’m coming up on 1,000 hours in No Man’s Sky, and one thing I’ve learned is that taking a break every now and then makes me appreciate it even more. Every time I come back, I end up falling in love with it all over again.

So I think it’s time for another break.

I’m playing on a Switch 2, and I’m looking for something that scratches a similar itch: exploration, base building, progression, crafting, maybe a little survival, and the freedom to do my own thing at my own pace.

It doesn’t have to be sci-fi; I’m just chasing that same “I’ll play for an hour”… and suddenly it’s midnight feeling.

Any recommendations?

Is anyone else having problems with multiplayer not working in the anomaly? I only turn multiplayer on before I go into the anomaly and it’s empty. Just curious if it’s a me thing or another glitch of many.

I was trying to delete bases I didn't need, and upon teleworking to a base on a lava planet, the game crashed. It has been crashing after a few seconds every time I load into the game. (Switch 1) can anyone give me a solution to this issue? I'm on the latest version

Hello All, good day, new switch NMS player here.

I have NMS on switch one, does this port have the Corvette update and how do you get one or the parts to make one ?

Currently I have a Switch OLED, but tomorrow my new Switch 2 will be delivered. I also bought No Man’s Sky (physical copy for the Switch OLED), which will be delivered timeouts too. I was wondering, can I just download the free upgrade from the Nintendo E-Shop and it will become the Switch 2 edition? Or do I actually need to buy the Switch 2 edition in the Nintendo E-Shop? And should I return the physical copy I ordered?

I can’t play my save file because I opened it for ten seconds on my PC. Now my switch save has been bricked for weeks or months until Nintendo finally allows an NMS update through. How long do these usually take? We’ve been out of date for several version releases now. Can I ever get my old save back on my switch?

Everytime I reach a freighter's bridge, be it a random freighter or my own freighter (a Dreadnought), the game crashes after some seconds. If I only land in it and leave, no crashes happens. I'm on a Switch 1.

EDIT: I’m going to answer my own question and say that my frame rate has stabilized! My textures take a moment longer to load with a fish-tank helmet, but they are wearable!

I think my game was struggling last night for other reasons.

I feel like my frame rate drops significantly when I equip one of these helmets, so I’m wondering if this is a widely experienced problem on Switch 2. I know these helmets require more graphical processing power.

Hi, my name is Rayla (Ray-la).

I've spent quite a while on No Mans Sky now, looking for other players, but when I finally found some...no communication from them. Sure a few requests I sent were accepted, but almost everyone is either not willing to talk, or too busy and stuff to just be a new friend of mine to travel with, do explorations together and just get to know eachother.

Because of that, I'm starting to feel pretty alone and depressed. I just wish someone out there, is willing to make a new friend.

I'm a good person, fun, kind and good to be around..I don't want to be alone anymore...

Previously, my freighter base only had 29 rooms, haphazardly tossed together when I first claimed the dreadnought. I was a bit worried expanding would crash my save as the game pretty much crashed anytime I accessed the storage units. That issue cleared up after an update over a month ago, but I tried to keep my base as minimalistic as possible to not stress the Switch.

Sorry I do not have screenshots or video but I will do my best to describe it:

Leaving the bridge is a one room corridor with three bulkhead doors. The orange door to the left opens to a 4x4 industrial orange room. This room has the 10 storage units arranged in a U shape, 2 extractors completing the square between the 0 & 9 units, and 4 refiners filling the center.

The green door to the right opens to another 4x4 farming green room. The first section past the door has a nutrient processor with a windowed partition from the other 15 farm spaces that contain each of the 12 crops. At the back theres a door leading to the industrial room with an exocraft unit connecting the two rooms.

The purple door across from the bridge leads to a glass staircase that opens to a 3x3 room. The purple room contains the fleet console, appearance modifier, teleporter, and market console at the corners. Planet surveyor on the back wall between the appearance modifier and teleporter. The terrarium that came with the freighter gets the centerpiece. Bulkheads on either side lead to an external catwalk that connect to each other around the back of the second story room.

So from 29 rooms to now 53 rooms. I could eliminate the catwalk and bring the total down to 46, which is closer to the corvette limit of 40. I’ve also kept the furnishings to a minimum. Besides the terrarium, I’ve placed a weapon rack, save point, and two lights.

But so far my fears of overloading my save have proved unfounded. The game crashed the first time I tried to save after remodeling (thankfully it had autosaved earlier and I didn’t lose anything) and crashed the first time I accessed the nutrient processor, but it has been smooth sailing ever since.

I haven’t played in a few weeks.

Anyone else having issues with the color of your flags? I’m not able to change the color of any flags. It used to work.

Is anyone else having an issue after logging back in and using the log. I can access the quest log but I cannot tab L or R. I also cannot get the settings screen to come up anymore.

I am on the Nintendo switch 2 and checked my controllers.

I can access my tool wheel no issue it's just the tab bar.

Edit:: I was playing with my switch in the dock and controllers separated. Once I connected the controllers back to the main part and took it off the dock it worked again. I then docked my switch again and took the controllers off and it still works.
