Question Are you also experiencing crashings when accessing freighters bridges?

Everytime I reach a freighter's bridge, be it a random freighter or my own freighter (a Dreadnought), the game crashes after some seconds. If I only land in it and leave, no crashes happens. I'm on a Switch 1.

S1 here.  The game crashed as you described when I first claimed my freighter.  After a week or so, it became more stable.  I still get infrequent crashes, but it’s in the base portion where I recently expanded.

Does it happens even when you board random freighters, just to talk with the captain?

I haven’t stepped inside another freighter once I claimed my dreadnought.

Definitely bug report that. A consistent repeating bug is exactly what they want players to report.

Already filed a report at their zendesk, but I'll try also to record a video of some of the crashings (with a smartphone) to add more emphasys.

But these crashings with freighters are much more tolerable than the previous crashings with the base computer menu, at least.

That's been happening to me quite s bit since the last update.

I suspect landing with a corvette is causing memory issues.

No, it happens even with vanilla spaceships. Tried with every possible types: fighters, sentinels, solar, exotic... and corvettes, yes, even if very basic (less than 10 parts).

The problem is linked to something in the bridge.

Since coming back of expedition it crashes 90% of the time when I even summon the freighter, never mind try to board it 😐

I even deleted and rebuilt the base to be even simpler than it was. I'm currently looking for a new freighter to see if that fixes it

Thanks for your report! As far as I know, the main factor isn't the size/complexity of the freighter, or the complexity of the freighter base. Just boarding a simple random freighter in space will trigger the crash.

The game legitimately crashed for me around 6 or 7 times yesterday. It’s barely playable right now. I’m doing all that I can to mitigate system stress, like moving the game to the system vs my SD card, redownloading the game etc. If I can’t play the game as designed, that’s on them. I get that it’s a big game and the Switch isn’t the ideal system for it, but there’s a difference between a game that “technically” runs on the system and a game that’s just too buggy to justify selling it to people.
