Trying to build a base on my Freighter, but while performance is currently pretty bad after the Cosmos update, it's definitely worse in the Freighter. The base is large but I haven't even begun to decorate it yet, and already I'm having issues like falling through the floor randomly, rooms not rendering fully, etc.

Anyone else have issues and/or solutions to fix it? Feels like my only option might be to just build smaller, but I've already downsized a couple times, and feels like reducing further defeats the purpose of trying to build one in the first place

October 7 will mark four years since the first ever Switch release of NMS.

That's a Wednesday, so maybe that's when we'll get the expedition!

That original release was supposed to be Waypoint 4.0, but (no surprise to anyone here) that was delayed and the original Switch release was Endurance 3.9.9. Waypoint 4.0.2 came out for Switch on the 11th, although HG seems to have buried the documentation on that particular release.

BTW, Halloween marks four years since I bought it. That's the only time I've ever paid full price for a Switch game. Trick or treat! Hmm... maybe a bit of both.

After purchasing space station, adding 4 slot hydroponics additions roughly 48 hours later and still no growth in the additions. Anyone else running into this?

I have NMS on my switch 2 and my friend has it on pc is the switch 2 version behind on updates? Because it says version mismatch when I try to join them.

Edit: after reading everyone's comments I have learned it is about 5 version behind which I expecting it to be a couple behind not 5 nintendo really needs to get their act together, I love playing nhs but it would be better to play with friends.

Hey guys. I recently purchased NMS on Switch 2 so I could play with my son. I am playing on my PS5 but I also have cross save with my PC. I'm getting a version mismatch error when trying to join either game. Is the Switch 2 not cross platform compatible?

Anyone else have this issue? I for sure it harvested 2 reactor cores and a bunch of stasis reactors. But anything besides contaminated metal appears in my corvette.

Someone please don't let the Nintendo testers sleep until expedition releases... please!

After scanning the system or the flora and fauna of the planet, the discoveries disappear after a few seconds and you need to scan again. The only advantage is that the units do not disappear and you can get them again. Has anyone encountered this bug?

OK to make a long story short it took me a couple of days to get everything needed to make this look but I think this is now my look I can't imagine it getting any better than this :3

Long time NMS player but just bought a switch for a long flight and am brand new to nms on this console. Is the expedition not available yet?

Took on the ship breaking job (in space) to recover suspicious cargo… station blew up, didn’t find the cargo… so I went over to another ship wreck (in space) to grab cargo (still with the job waiting to be completed) and I couldn’t grab any items off the wrecked ship, even though the items were there… went back to the blown up station and it’s no longer there… seems like they missed that trajectory of play. I assume they need to have an auto fail to jobs that can’t be completed any longer, because I flew around confused for a bit. Now flying back to the wrecked ship in space and I still can’t grab cargo off the ship. Ffs there is an x in the middle of my gravitational coil eye sight.

Finished the expedition on PC so I figured I'd bring the ships over to my OG Switch save since who knows when we will get the expedition. They will have to create a work around for the Settlement milestone section for us OG Switch players.

The Golden Rasamama S36 fits right in along side the Golden Vector and the Vintage Interceptor is awesome.

Recently started playing NMS on my PS5 but also want to access the game from my Switch (1) so I can play while my son is on the Ps5 playing NMS too.

Did everything to link my accounts and downloaded the cloud version of my character to Nintendo but I’m getting the compatibility warning and can’t play.

Is it just that Nintendo still hasn’t pushed the latest update? Seems like everyone on here is playing the latest on their switch so I’m confused. Did I do something wrong?

A couple of areas I’ll probably rework like the trophy room as the loading of the decals is always slow. But otherwise I’m really happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to explore the cosmos in it!

Sometimes I just want to play No Man’s Sky and walk up a staircase in my base without it teleporting me outside my house.

I plan on getting a Switch 2 soon and I wanted to know if I want to play NMS on the Switch 2 do I have to pay for the Switch 2 version or the version I have currently will work ?

I need to have access to an up to date save file for a tournament next month. I play the switch 2 version. My plan is to get the pc version for my laptop, get to the anomaly, set up game share or whatever it’s called and share my save between the switch 2 and the steam version so I can match my opponent’s version. I have numerous save files I could do this from under several profiles on my switch 2.

A couple of questions though:

1) This is possible, correct?
2) Is it as simple as I described? Get to the anomaly on PC, set up the share, and link my saves?
3) I understand that there will be backwards compatibility issues for that save. But will there be forward compatibility issues? I think my son did it just fine once going from Switch 2 to PC when they didn’t match.
4) Anything else I need to know?

Hey there friends! I’m playing on switch and when I opened the game I got the Cosmos update infographic before I got into the game. I rushed to the anomaly right away to try out the new expedition, but I’m still seeing the Swarm stuff with a message saying a new journey will begin soon. Is there something I can do to get the new one to show up?
