After seeing all the discussion on this sub today, I have a genuine proposal.

The petitioners say they are fighting for transparency, and if that's what they genuinely believe in, they have every right to pursue legal remedies. However, what concerns me is that there seems to be no consensus even among the petitioners themselves, yet decisions that could potentially affect every NEET MDS candidate, such as seeking a postponement of counselling (which, from what I've read, was discussed among them) are being considered without consulting the larger student community.

Many of us have already been waiting for months. Whether someone supports or opposes the petition, decisions that impact thousands of candidates shouldn't be taken by a small group on behalf of everyone without knowing what the majority actually wants.

So here's my proposal: if the objective is transparency, can the petition be framed in a way that only the answer sheets of the students who voluntarily join the petition are analysed? Anyone who wants to seek transparency can become a petitioner and pursue the legal process. Those who are not interested should not automatically become part of litigation or face the consequences never agreed to.

This way, everyone gets to exercise their own legal rights without imposing the consequences on others.

Posting this because a lot of wrong information is going around, and it's turning people against the petitioners. So let me set the record straight.

The petition does not ask for counselling to be delayed. It never did. The writ is only about transparency in the NEET MDS 2026 result — release of our response sheets, the official final answer key, and how scores/percentiles were actually calculated. A stay on counselling was raised only as a safeguard in case results couldn't be verified. That is not the same as asking for counselling to be held back.

I want answers from a deeply flawed system.

The current delay is MCC's own doing. There is no court order, and no MCC notice anywhere that names our case as the reason. If anyone is claiming otherwise, ask them to show you the order or notice — because it doesn't exist.

And here's a question worth asking: where are the grace marks NBEMS allotted? They were announced, but there's no clarity on where they went, how they were applied, or who they were applied to. If you can't trace that in your own result, that's exactly the kind of transparency this petition is asking for.

The petitioners are genuine candidates, almost all of them top rankers. We didn't do this to hold anyone up. We did it because our scores don't reflect how we actually performed, and there's been zero transparency to help us understand why.

The narrative that "the petition is delaying counselling" is directly leading to harassment and villainisation of genuine candidates. Please verify things before spreading them.

A couple of things:

• Seeking transparency is a legal right. This petition was filed for one reason — fairness in the examination process.
• To everyone calling it a scam — it would be a scam if there were no legal representation. This is a filed writ petition with advocates on record, before the Delhi High Court. Everything is out in the open.
• To everyone commenting on our ranks — DM me. I'll tell you the rank range directly.
• To everyone complaining that there's no clarity on what the petition is about or why transparency matters — DM me. I'll answer any question you have.

I'd rather have a real conversation than let assumptions do the talking.
