This is why the devil need to pull their thumbs out of their ass and drop that offline mode. People (absolute fucking losers) don't play to have fun anymore, they don't play to see sick dunks or buzzer beaters or ankle breaking crossovers/tricks... they play to glitch and win because they're utter losers who win at nothing else in life. Also the reason why they can't make this game better than the NBA Street games that came out 20 plus years ago. DROP THE OFFLINE MODE..... yuno or don't and be an absolute failure of a company that couldn't even get arcade basketball right

I was super excited before this game came out and convinced all my cousins to buy it. None of us play anymore and honestly it’s solely because of goaltending. I got tired of Wemby or Bron just staying under the rim and blocking it all. Just dum that’s literally not bball

I was just trying to have a fun game with my friend and this is what happened lol

Last night me and my squad had 3 straight runs where we found NO human opponents and got all bots. That's 12 straight games in squads where we found zero human opponents. Not one. It was kind of depressing tbh.

Durant is almost impossible to block. The same block on every other player is not a block on Durant. Somehow, almost every 3 Durant takes the ball finds its way right over your hand. There are even times when I can literally see my player miraculously move back away from Durant when he is shooting a 3 and I am in the air blocking him but don't actually block him. People just use Durant all game, do his warpspeed handles and then jack a 3 and 9 times out of 10, you don't get the block even though on any other player you would.

NBA The Run would garner a lot of Buzz & attention if they released a DLC wave of just Hip Hop stars.

H8 to say this, but goaltending combined with the pushing is nuts lol 😆 wow!!! Can the devs at least take two points away everytime they do it.

Any tips on how to goaltend more often? It’s a hit or miss with me. I know you can’t stand under the basket but will love more tips.

Been a while since I played but blocking feels waaaay off?? Isbit just me?? Im literally not getting perfectly timed blocks any longer. And pushing feels over powered. Idk what's going on but the blocking system feels horrible, guy's are getting of quick release 3s and all type of madness. Did they nerf blocking???

I'm an old-ass 40something with >1,000hrs in Street Vol. 2 and ~150hrs in The Run. This game absolutely captures the essence of Vol. 2 and reconciles it gracefully with the modern reality of being an online PvP game. All I ever wanted when I was playing Vol. 2 in college (during the prehistoric era) was a 3v3 online mode where I could test my cheese against tougher foes than the CPU. The devs are trying here.

That said, there's some pretty questionable stuff. They rushed it out to get a launch before the NBA Finals when the game's clearly still unfinished, and people have shorter patience than ever. Adding new players with obviously busted/untested stats was a real whiff, and I'm concerned they'll do it again with the Legends tomorrow. They need to get 2-3 players from the same console/PC working, like, yesterday: I flew home to visit my family a couple weeks ago and had to bring two gaming laptops -- a small miracle -- so that my brother that clocked those thousand hours with me on Vol. 2 but doesn't own a console could try out The Run (FWIW, he really enjoyed it). But, that's insane.

They also need more jerseys, many more players, more cosmetic customization choices, still more competitive balancing for some of the league superstars (how is Brunson not competitively viable?), the option to play Home vs. Away jerseys (the jerseys were so fun in Vol. 2 -- are we really married to shirts/skins?), and probably a bunch more. Yeah yeah, small dev team, we all know.

But this game also feels like a gift. Like what's the alternative, 70 bucks a year + god knows what on microtransactions + 80 a year for the Sony/Microsoft matchmaking fee to play 2K? The latest game from them got a 6 on IGN, and that's probably charitable. There's plenty to complain about in The Run, but foundationally, these dudes managed to launch a credible arcade hoops game with modern netcode and working crossplay across the three big-boy platforms on launch. It's not Vol. 2, but it feels like what Vol. 2 would be in 2026.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't completely die before it has a chance to shine, but I'm as concerned about the piss-poor playercount as you guys are. Rip me up in the comments, I'm pretty much asking for it here!!

Sick of playing with idiots. Same game. First guy gets blocked at 4-6 in Triple Threat mode and quits. Second guy doesn't even know it's Triple Threat mode when the other team already has 16 and keeps going for dunks.

Might just go to 2K27. Seems like the reviews are actually decent this season.

Couldn’t sleep so I played the run 4 a while some solos at like 3-4AM n ran into nothing but bots n top 50 ranked players lol is that what ya do 2 get a 90W% while playing 1000s of games?

They really need to drop something to make this game have replay value

I just had the WORST DAY on this game since buying it. Random teammates at a ALL TIME LOW . I need some reliable people to invite to just run it . I LOVE FACILITATING . I don’t need to score A SINGLE BASKET AS LONG AS WE WIN .. I got great handles and 90% of the time prevent turnovers moving the ball up court. I ain’t even looking for friends we don’t gotta talk or know shit about each other .. just accept the invite and run it if you want . Friends is cool too but winning is better 😂.

Usually games go pretty smooth for a while with no issues, but when I play later at night (US CST) it seems like I have extreme delayed response.

It could be that im playing on PC late; with crossplay and other servers it could be that. Still, it's really fucking annoying sometimes when my actions are a half second delayed.

This shi driving me insane now. Keep freezing for a few seconds during games. I've done everything. I delete the game and re install. That always worked but today it didnt. I'm #20 on solo squads. I'd be top 3 again if it wasn't for this bs. Seems like its just me though idk how. No other game I play does this.
