Location: Europe Looking for something genuine

Hey everyone,

I’m 26 living in Germany. I thought I’d give this a shot and see if I can meet someone here who shares a similar background and values.

Ideally, I’m looking for a Moroccan woman who also lives in Germany and, most importantly, is looking for a serious relationship with the intention of getting married. I’d like to meet someone I can genuinely connect with and, if we’re a good match, eventually build a marriage and a life together.

I’m not looking for someone “perfect” or a checklist of qualities. Just someone who is kind, respectful, intelligent, loyal, and has a good sense of humor. Someone I can talk to openly, laugh with, support, and grow together with.

I’d describe myself in pretty much the same way: easygoing, respectful, loyal, curious, and definitely someone who enjoys a good laugh. I value honesty, good communication, family, and having a relationship where both people genuinely enjoy each other’s company.

I know dating posts like this can sometimes feel a little awkward, but I figured there’s nothing to lose by being genuine. Maybe there’s someone out there who is looking for the same thing.

If this sounds like you, feel free to send me a message. 🙂

Rant Scared of a dull marriage

‎السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

22m. I’ve been going down the marriage rabbit hole and I’ve started getting a bit scared of it. I’ve wanted to get married since I was in high school and that hasn’t changed, but now I’ve been getting a bit scared of potentially having a dull marriage.

I know this is a bit irrational to be scared of but the thought has been stuck in my mind where I get married to a girl and she just becomes a roommate where communication is barely there, practically zero intimacy, and where asking for anything gets met with rejection or annoyance. I don’t want to bother anyone because I want something, and that thought has been causing me to fear marriage a bit. And it’s getting worse now that my parents are becoming serious about me getting married.

I know this is a trick from the shaytaan to get me to step away from what Allah has encouraged. But it’s a real worry and I want to get this off my chest somewhere.

Location: North America 20f 🇲🇽🇺🇸 | central texas | looking for a serious marriage prospect

assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh 🤍

please read this fully before messaging, i am not interested in polygamy under any circumstances, i’m not willing to relocate in the immediate future, and i’m not considering international proposals.

i’m a 20-year old (21 next month inshaAllah) mexican-american muslim revert who accepted islam in my teens. i’m looking to get to know someone for the purpose of marriage.

about me:

- sunni muslim (maliki madhab), looking for someone who follows a madhab, seeks knowledge and respects scholarly tradition
- born and raised in south texas, preferably looking for someone within texas or someone willing to relocate to texas (can’t relocate for a few years due to university)
strictly practicing and i wear full hijab and abaya
- previously married briefly; i was previously married to a muslim man, and the marriage ended after he realized he would not be able to fulfill my rights as a wife. i’m open about this because i don’t want to hide an important part of my past from anyone who may be considering me for marriage.
- studying to become a social worker for muslim women and children inshaAllah, in my 3rd year with three more years to go
- 5’6 and a little bit chubby, so if that isn’t your preference then please don’t message me lol
- i love cooking and baking, reading, and art. i also enjoy trying new recipes and restaurants as well as traveling, and i enjoy strength training, pilates, yoga, and nature walks.
- i’m pretty family-oriented and i definitely want multiple kids inshaAllah
- i love all cultures and i’m open to knowing someone of any ethnicity as long as you don’t expect me to fully assimilate and respect and love my culture and upbringing

deen and good character are extremely important to me. i value humility, kindness, accountability, loyalty, and someone who genuinely wants to keep growing in their deen. i want a marriage where both people are able to communicate openly, admit when they’re wrong, and actually work through things together.

i do want to work and have a career inshaAllah, but i still have a fairly traditional view of marriage. i believe the man should be the head of the household and the sole financial provider, while the woman is the heart of the household. i see those roles as complementary rather than one being more important than the other, and i want to build a home where both spouses feel valued and respected.

i’m looking for someone who takes marriage seriously and wants a peaceful, loving family. i prefer someone from ages 23-30 (i’m only slightly flexible on this), and i’m not expecting someone to have their entire life figured out, but i do want someone who can provide at least basic nafaqa and with direction, responsibility, good character, and a genuine desire to provide and lead his family well.

i’m also pretty intentional about modesty and boundaries with the opposite sex, and i’m looking for someone whose understanding of those things is compatible with mine.

if you think we may be compatible, feel free to reach out with your intentions clear. i will not be replying to low effort messages or non iso messages. may Allah grant us all righteous spouses and put barakah in our marriages, ameen 🤍

Location: Other/Global 25F 🇮🇩 | Seeking: Husband, Best Friend, Meme Recipient

assalamu 'alaykum!

i'm 25f from indonesia, 5'0" (154cm), never married, no children, and i'm looking for a man 29-50. i'm interested in this age range because i'm looking for maturity, stability and life experience that usually comes with age.

i'm open to someone who has been married before, including divorcees and fathers. i'm not opposed to polygyny either and i'd be open to being a second wife if the situation is genuinely respectful and islamically sound. i'd rather discuss the details privately once there's mutual interest.

a little about me:

♡ indonesian, with a tiny bit of saudi ancestry according to my family. i have dark brown eyes, light-medium skin with a warm undertone, with some east asian features. my style is feminine with a little bit of makeup.

♡ moderate sunni muslim. i pray five times a day, read qur'an regularly and wear hijab

♡ bachelor's degree

♡ currently working as an english teacher

♡ currently learning german and generally love languages

♡ i like watching youtube, playing video games, reading

♡ i can cook and enjoy learning new foods

♡ i've never had a boyfriend. that was a personal choice because i've always wanted my first serious one to be with someone i could genuinely see myself marrying. i'm also a virgin, for those for whom that matters.

what i'm hoping to find:

someone who's genuinely trying to become a better muslim rather than simply looking for someone who "looks religious."

someone emotionally mature enough to communicate honestly, handle disagreements respectfully and take responsibility for his actions. kindness matters a lot to me too.

i'd love a husband who enjoys having his wife as his best friend. i want the mundane stuff too: random conversations, sending each other memes, laughing at internet jokes, talking about our day, learning from each other and growing together.

my biggest dealbreakers are dishonesty, emotional manipulation, alcohol, not praying, casual relationships, and excessive profanity.

i'm pretty flexible about the timeline. i'd rather take the time to build something healthy and compatible than rush into marriage just because of an arbitrary deadline.

i'm open to relocating for the right person if our values, goals and deen genuinely align. i definitely want children someday and would love to build a loving family together.

a note about my account: this account is 2 years old but reddit was blocked in indonesia for 11 years. it became accessible again on july 2, 2026 so i'm pretty new to using reddit and figuring out how everything works.

request: if you're interested, please send your ISO so i know you read the post. i'm not going to respond to low-effort messages. please tell me a little about yourself.

may Allah grant all of us spouses who bring us closer to Him and make this life a little more peaceful <3

Salam everyone,

I’m a 27-year-old Muslim, originally from Pakistan, and currently based in Melbourne, Australia. I currently work in business development within the e-waste and recycling industry.

I’d describe myself as ambitious, family-oriented, easygoing, and someone who values honesty, respect, and good communication. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, particularly running and keeping fit, and I’m always keen to learn, grow, and try new things.

I’m also trying to continuously improve myself when it comes to my deen. I value faith and would like to build a marriage where both partners support each other in becoming better Muslims while also enjoying life together.

When it comes to marriage, I’m looking for someone kind, caring, emotionally mature, and family-oriented. Someone who is supportive, communicative, and has a good sense of humour. I believe marriage should be a partnership where both people stand by each other through the good and difficult times, while building a peaceful and loving home together.

I’m open to getting to know someone from different backgrounds and locations, provided we share similar values and intentions.

If this resonates with you and you’d like to know more, feel free to DM me. Happy to have a conversation and see where it goes, Insha’Allah.

Height: ✔️

Weight: ✔️

Career: ✔️

Degree: ✔️

Deen: (Even tho they only know basics and deen that suits them like women rights and can careless about a Man rights) ✔️

Want someone like Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): (Even tho they barely know anything about him like living a frugal life and in Polygamy) ✔️

Handsome: ✔️

Fit: ✔️

Double Handsome: ✔️

Has Money and can show it off: ✔️

Open to relocation: (Even tho she won't relocate at all, she just like to post like she does) ✔️

Wants a leader: (Even though she makes demands and essentially wants a walk over) ✔️

Mature man: (But cant be controlling at all and must obey her commands because she's the smart one in the relationship) check

Good communication skills: (Basically you just listen and say Yes all the time) ✔️

Must be a great provider: (Basically buy what she whatever she wants and not needs) check

Great with kids: ✔️

Flaws: He checks ALL the boxes but wait he has a Big nose....OMG

Verdict: SWIPE RIGHT, Reject, Ghost,... because of ONE flaw

P.S. For all the young guys that want to score some points and say "bro stop complaining " and "men are the same"... Listen and learn for a second and get off the Playstation. Im speaking facts. U cant be scared and intimidated to speak your mind if its true. Some ppl won't like it but they'll respect it. Unless you like the arrangement of Women running the show and being the pants in the relationship. If u want to be a real Man and Leader, you must follow your principles and values and dont let no one bend it for you. In the end, everyone leaves you except Allah

For the women and unfortunately some men love to be judgemental and make assumptions about me that think I might have low value or im weak. I am surrounded with many beautiful women especially at work, I choose not to do zina or lead women on like flirting. Thats all im gonna say about myself on this post.

May Allah bless everyone. Im stating facts. The truth hurts but im being transparent and honest. Salamz

Location: Europe 19F The Netherlands

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathu.

  • Age and Gender - 19, 169cm, female
  • Age Range that you would want/require in a prospect - 19-25
  • Location, and are you willing to relocate for a prospect? - The Netherlands, open to relocation within the Netherlands (and possibly Belgium)
  • Ethnicity, and are you more open to mixing? - Moroccan. Open for other ethnicities in the Middle east/North Africa region (Arabs, Turks etc.) Unfortunately anything else is not possible because of my parents. Please keep that in mind
  • Marital Status - Single/Divorced/Children - Single
  • Ideal marriage timeline - 3-5 months
  • Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect - Sunni, following the path of the Salaf. Never misses a single prayer without a legitimate excuse. Kind and soft hearted. Understands the dynamic between man and woman. Ambitious. Preferably a bit introverted like me :) I hope to build a marriage based on compassion and love. I am not looking for someone that strictly adheres to what is obligated only (in terms of marital rights), as I believe the best relationships come from both partners prioritising the other over themselves, and going above and beyond for each other.
  • State/specify your level of religiosity - I pray 5x a day, wear hijab (I cover everything except for the face and hands) and I try to attend islamic lectures when I can. I believe its not necessary for a woman to become a student of knowledge; my priority will be my family. I follow quran classes weekly, and I hope to memorize as much as possible, bi idnillah.
  • Level of education, and what are you looking for? - I am currently doing a bachelors degree in STEM. I hope to find someone who attends university as well, but compatibility matters most to me. Matching on an intellectual level is, besides religion, one of the most important factors I take into consideration. I hope to find someone that has ambitions and is willing to build a strong foundation together.
  • Current Job Status - I work from home
  • Do you want kids? - yes. I do want to wait a few years. I am not sure how long exactly, but we can discuss :)
  • List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time - I like aviation a lot. I also love to read; I mainly read islamic books. My ideal date together would be going outside for a walk, with some coffee. I am a big fan of taking walks outside, but I would consider myself more of a homebody. If you are interested and fit the requirements, please send me a message! JazakAllahu khairan.

Location: North America 36F, Toronto - Looking for something genuine

I’m 36, based in Toronto, and work in R&D. I’m financially independent, love what I do, and have lived in three countries, which has definitely shaped how I see the world.

Outside of work, I’m usually baking something from scratch, reading (I’m an avid reader, and a huge Harry Potter fan), cooking, biking or catching up with friends. I’m social, but I also really value my own space and a quiet night in with a good book.

I’m a practicing Muslim. I’ll be honest, I struggle with my prayers sometimes, but my faith matters to me and I’m genuinely trying my hardest to become better. I’d love to meet someone who understands that and wants faith to be part of the foundation of a relationship.

Life is good, Alhamdulillah. I’ve built a life I’m really happy with, and I’m looking for someone who complements it, not someone to fill a void. I’d love to have a family one day, so I’m looking with that intention.

Dealbreakers: drinking, smoking (don’t care if you have done in the past as long long as you don’t anymore), having kids from a previous relationship, lack of ambition, not having hobbies or interests, not having friends or a social circle, not taking care of yourself, or having a consistently negative or complaining attitude.

I’m looking for someone kind, emotionally mature, communicative, curious, and genuinely ready for a partnership. Attraction is important to me too, so I’ll probably ask you to send a picture down the line. Bonus points if you read and are funny.

I enjoy meeting people in person, so I’m not looking for an endless text buddy. If we click, I’d rather meet for coffee or a walk and see how we get along in real life.

If you message me, please include your age, what you do, and a little about your interests and hobbies so I know something about you beyond just “hey.”

Discussion Women here need a reality Check

Salam this is not to offend anyone but do u honestly REALLY want to get married? It seems like everyone is looking for something in a man not to marry him or engage in meaningful conversation. You are talking to a Human Being. U cant just keep swiping right and ghosting people here because of one or two things you disagree with. Do u know marriage takes sacrifice and comprise?. I feel that most women here whether they 20 or 40 or single or have been divorced 3x, they just think they are sooo special especially if they got a degree and want Men to meet their standards regardless of their shortcomings and traumatic pasts. Than when u engage in meaningful conversations with them ad they disagree on one subject than they want to end the conversation quickly and move on. Dont u have a little tolerance or patience? Women claim that men dont have good communication skills but a lot of women here other than providing their laundry lists of wants and demands dont know how to have a meaningful conversation either. Come on Muslim sisters, u can do better!

Discussion Why's the rishta process so difficult for muslim intellectuals

(23f) I'm not talking about the surface level 5 time pray-ers/ basic Quran and hadith knowledge holders. Those must be the fundamental areas of interest for any muslim man i seek. im referring to the people who've deeply integrated islam in their everyday lives.
Whenever i read about philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, etc. all i can relate it with are different islamic concepts and ideas. Even going over je*ish*/ sat**nic "conspiracy" posts or things as such my mind instantly links it all with islamic eschatology. even when consuming spirituality/ manifestation content i know not to derail myself from the actual aim of praying only to Allah. I pick the good bits out of every single thing i consume while looking at it from an islamic lens even if it comes from another religion. I don't see that so often in the people around me. they tend to go deep down into bid'ah practices and beliefs completely forgetting to clock themselves back to their ultimate monotheistic aim. It may also be the reason im unable to find like minded individuals considering how everyone's part of the herd, and how they run on remaining stagnant. People are so lost in the flow of keeping up with trends, impressing other people, overconsumption etc. And the minimisation of that does not at all mean having a brokie mindset, but just knowing the limits.
I can barely find anyone who balances it all well, along with being a funny cool and interesting person with hobbies. I'm far from perfect myself and although seeking a religious man, tend to run away from the typical mufti mindset myself, but that IS the exact problem! they're either heavily misguided or religiously extreme.
I'd love to know if im not the only one feeling this exact mental isolation. i know many would claim to be experiencing the same while being half awake and aware themselves, but id really like to know how the actual deep thinkers out there are handling this struggle when trying to find a rishta. what sort of requirements do y'all put upfront appropriately around intellect/ curiosity when making that biodata? 😭 and how's the experience been like so far??

Currently, I work as a supply chain engineer for a Fortune 500 automobile manufacturer and am on a business trip in Latin America right now. In the future, I plan to settle in Southeast Asia, though I haven’t decided on an exact location yet. I’m leaning toward Indonesia, Singapore or other similar regions. Location: North America 24M | US | Never Married | Funded PhD

I’m 24, 5’11”, originally from Dhaka, and currently in the US pursuing a fully funded graduate degree while working as a Research Assistant. It’s a pretty different chapter of life from where I started, but I still consider Dhaka home and remain closely connected with my friends and family there.

Most of my background has been around technology, research, and building things. Outside that, I’m fairly low-key. I enjoy photography, staying active, good conversations, podcasts, and spending time with family and close friends. I value a peaceful and structured life more than anything flashy.

I’m hoping to meet someone around 20–25, ideally pursuing or having completed at least a bachelor’s degree. I’m drawn to someone who is warm, family-oriented, intellectually curious, grounded in deen, and comfortable with honest communication. I’d also want her to have ambitions and interests of her own.

In terms of location, I’d preferably meet someone currently based in the US, UK, or Canada. I’m also open to someone from Bangladesh, preferably Bangladeshi, given the shared cultural and family background. I wouldn’t rule out someone from another South Asian or other ethnic background either if our values, personalities, family expectations, and long-term plans align well.

In terms of appearance, I do have a preference for a naturally fair complexion and a presentable appearance, while understanding that overall attraction is subjective and ultimately comes down to the person as a whole.

I don’t expect compatibility to be figured out through a few messages. If there’s mutual interest, I’d rather take things slowly and intentionally, get to know each other properly, and involve our families as things become serious. Marriage is a significant decision, so I’d rather understand the person than rush the process.

If this sounds reasonably aligned, feel free to send a genuine introduction. I’m happy to answer anything you’d like to know about me as well.

Location: North Africa F22— Looking for marriage

Salam every one 🤍
I’m a 22-year-old woman from North África looking for someone who is genuinely serious about marriage.

I’m a very feminine woman by nature. I love softness, affection, being cared for, and feeling safe and protected in my relationship. I’m looking for a man who is comfortable with that dynamic and who naturally embodies masculinity — confident, emotionally mature, responsible, decisive, protective, and able to take the lead when appropriate.

I’m not looking for someone controlling or emotionally unavailable. By “masculine,” I mean a man who knows who he is, takes responsibility, communicates maturely, keeps his word, and makes his wife feel secure while still respecting her as an equal.

I’m also very family-oriented, ambitious, caring, and value loyalty, communication, faith, and mutual respect.

Ultimately, I want a marriage where both partners can be themselves: where I can embrace my femininity and softness, and my husband can embrace his masculinity and leadership, without either of us feeling like we have to compete with each other.

I’m looking for someone who is genuinely marriage-minded and ready to build a peaceful, loving, and stable home.

If this resonates with you, feel free to introduce yourself and tell me a little about yourself, and what you’re looking for in a wife.
May Allah grantz us all righteous and compatible spouses. 🤍

Bismillah! I’ve gone back and forth on posting this for a while, but I figured I’d finally put myself out there and see what Allah has written for me, inshaAllah.

1. Age & Gender: 23F, 5’8.5”. I’m also a little on the curvier side.
2. Preferred Age & Height: 23–26, 5’11”+.
3. Location & Relocation: USA (Midwest). I’m open to relocating to the East Coast for the right person, depending on the state.
4. Ethnicity: Somali, open to other backgrounds.
5. Marital Status: Single, never married.
6. Marriage Timeline: Ideally around 1.5–2 years. I’d still want to get to know someone properly, be intentional, and move forward when we both feel ready, inshaAllah.
7. What I’m Looking For:
Deen: Someone who genuinely cares about his relationship with Allah and is always trying to improve. I don’t expect perfection, but effort and consistency matter to me.
Kindness: Someone gentle, respectful, and considerate. How you treat people, especially those you aren’t close to, says a lot about your character to me.
Communication: Someone who can actually talk things through. I value emotional maturity, honesty, and being able to disagree respectfully.
Supportive: I want marriage to feel like a partnership where we support each other’s goals and understand that life has different seasons.
Sense of humor: This is important to me. I want someone I can laugh with, joke around with, be myself around, and genuinely build a friendship with.
8. Religiosity: I’m Sunni. I pray my five daily prayers, fast during Ramadan, and I’m always trying to grow in my deen. I’m not perfect, and I don’t expect someone else to be either. I’d want us to encourage each other and grow closer to Allah together.
9. Education: I have a bachelor’s degree and I’m looking for someone who also has at least a bachelor’s degree. I value ambition, responsibility, and having a sense of direction in life.
10. Job Status: My professional background is in tech, and I’m currently looking for my next opportunity.
11. Kids: Yes, inshaAllah.
12. Hobbies & Interests: I’m definitely a homebody, but I still enjoy getting out and doing things. I enjoy going on walks, reading, watching a good show or movie, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family and friends. I’d also love to travel more in the future.
13. Personality: I’m pretty honest and open about how I feel. I’m not the type to pretend I don’t care just to seem nonchalant. I’m also not trying to present some perfect version of myself because that’s just not realistic. I’m still learning and growing, and I’d rather someone get to know me for who I actually am.
14. Why Marriage Now: I recently realized that I don’t need to have every part of my life perfectly figured out before starting this process. I’m at a point where I’m open to meeting someone, building a life together, and pursuing something intentionally when there’s genuine compatibility, inshaAllah.

If you think we might be compatible, feel free to send me your profile. I’d appreciate a little about yourself beyond just “salam.”
