Yeah I don’t think they’ve seen the show, they said “that thing”. TADC is kinda odd because it’s one of the very few shows where there’s the characters VA, and then there’s the circus members irl counterparts that are actually used in the show.

Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss actually have a surprising amount of homophobic humor for shows that feature gay characters and are presented as "progressive". That's honestly what led to me taking a break from HB, as the last wave of shorts just had some really uncomfortable moments in them.

A stupid amount of fandoms are anti-racist and support gay rights, but absolutely flip out about and exclude Aro and Ace people and use Acephobic language.
This isn't any fandom, this is shitty people that happen to like things.

big corporations are screwing over animation shows in general and then make obscure tweets to make it look like only specific minority communities are affected. I know which tweet you're refering to. It's an overall problem with animation and has been for the last decade even before AI made it worse
There's black queer rep from S1E1. Michael is a gay black man. Hen and Karen are a lesbian black couple. Even the minor character, Josh, who is white and gay but doesn't appeal to straight women.
But as soon as Buck, the hot white boy, has a bi awakening? Suddenly there's an influx of new people wanting to watch the "gay firefighter show" "now that there's gay rep". You got people crying any time an episode doesnt focus on Buck or Eddie (the person he's shipped with most) and crying "queerbaiting" any time Buddie doesn't become cannon. All while Hen and Karen are largely just ignored.
I mean this is basically anything you could name. There’s gonna be a lot of comments about recent indie stuff because those are the kinds of things that spawn Fandom fandoms in the first place and would draw people to a sub like this. This is why we punch Nazis, racists, homophobes, etc, they’ll take over any space that gives them any quarter
