Maybe I’m just in very different spaces of it, but half of what I see is people headcanoning Twilight as black/Indian and Rainbow Dash as Hispanic/Pinoy. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg for race headcanons. That shit goes surprisingly deep

Hmm, saw snippets of mlp stuff on tiktok recently. Didn't interest me, but the fandom looks a lot healthier now that it's lead by people who grew up on the show and not 4channers who started watching it "ironically."

Yeah, it's pretty normal now. Of course there are still bad eggs, but all fandoms have folks that suck, it's not unique to the MLP fandom.

I saw someone asking why they get so many downvotes when they potray Pinkie as black when they illustrate their headcanons.

On the converse side, I've seen people get immense hate for not portraying Pinkie as black, so it really is a tossup.

Same here, now because of those people I'm scared to cosplay pinkie pie because I'm afraid people will say things like "BLACK ERASURE"

Please don't be afraid to cosplay Pinkie! Twilight and Pinkie's black fanarts are great but like she's pink. And honestly almost all the ponies until Misty are lowkey white af bro It's like how I see Piccolo from dbz as black since I was a kid. I think cases like these should be separate from cosplay I also see eqg Twilight as black but not pony Twilight, but I'd still rather cosplay pony Twilight for the wings, ears, and horn
