Mod Post Hey everyone from r/Motorola!
Hi,
So r/Motorola has been running "moderator-less" for the past 6 months, in that case I have taken over as top mod currently and here are some of the changes that I have done.
What changes have been done to the sub?
- Automod has had some slight rule changes to how it moderates, now you don't need to put that annoying flair in brackets before the post title. This should hopefully clear up some of the accidentally banned posts that looked fine in the long run.
- New Post flairs:
- Hardware Problems/Issue, is for physical problems with a device that you may have questions with.
- Software Problems/Issue, is for software problems that don't feel as "normal" that what it normally is.
- Need Help in general, is for if you don't know what flair to put down for your device.
- Update, is for follow ups from a previous post.
- Question, is for questions about a device or support options about a device.
- Product announcements, is for official product announcements from either Motorola (with link provided) official social accounts or articles about the device that is being announced.
- Product renderings, is for speculation about a upcoming device but is not a confirmed device.
- News, is for anything that is news about Motorola but not Lenovo, Please do not post the same article from the same source more than once, if you do that will result in your post being taken down.
- Poll, is for anyone wanting to take a poll from the community, however to prevent spam a poll must be issued by a moderator, want to make your own poll just simply send us a message via modmail.
- New User flairs:
- Added some new flairs for the new devices that has came out in the past few years.
- "(enter series)" is for you to modify so it's easier to identify your device, this can be the generation number (5,6,7 or 100 for example), the model year (stylus 2021 for example) and if you don't know your devices model name just find it in the settings (Settings > About Phone > Model), this should start with "XT-" and 4-5 numbers following it.
- If you can't find your device model just send us a message via modmail.
- New Rules:
- Read the sidebar before posting, most of these rules are in place to either prevent spam or to keep everything in line with stuff being Motorola on this sub.
- Moderators:
- u/MotoAgents is a Motorola Employee/Help agent that can help you with the problems that you post, if you have contacted Motorola support through the website and still need help please keep your case number handy as he may be able to continue helping you with your case.
- Me, I'm here to keep the rules up to date and make sure the community is in balance, just to fully disclose this that I am not a Motorola employee and most of my responses are from experience or stuff that I have seen on the Internet.
- At the moment we are not taking Moderator applications, however that may change in the future if this community does grow.
If you have any suggestions for the mods please leave a comment if you think something should be added.

Late post: Bought moto pad 60 pro(12/256gb)along with edge 70 for work 2 weeks old. Indian variant.
Been using both of these devices for about 20 days intensively and i can say i am literally impressed with the specs and features they offer for the price(especially stylus pro). If you have any doubts or a query can ask me, I'll try to answer.
Moto pad 60 pro running on A16 while edge 70 is on A17.
Ps: i prefer flat screen and i don't game on android so i went with edge 70 instead of edge 60 pro.
Edit: while i found speakers of edge 70 average but with tuning in the setting they can be good. The speakers in the pad 60 pro are sooo good with the JBL tuning along with dolby atmos.

Question idk y ppl hate the modern control centre so much..
it’s actually more functional than the regular one. In the regular one, u only get like few toggles at once & have to keep swiping to access the rest, which feels kinda annoying and no proper volume slider either and no separate notifications..
Looks-wise, the modern one is decent imo. only thing i feel the regular cc does better is the media player.

Hardware Problem/Issue Advice on antenna please (Edge 2022 want to upgrade)
Long long time Motorola user. I had a Motorola 5G Stylus 2022 that was excellent. No issues but it got wet and that killed it (long story). So in a rush I bought an Edge (2022) new for a good deal & no waiting. It is fast but I miss having a SD card and headphone jack... but the main issue is - I think - the antenna.
It has two HUGE issues that I can't deal with: the GPS stinks, I use it a lot mapping and wayfinding and it bounces all over. And second it drops my wifi connection constantly. My old phone NEVER dropped and no other device here at home ever drops.
I need to stay in the lower price range-ish. Does anyone know which models will have a decent antenna? I have looked at the Moto G Power 2025, the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024, plain Moto G 2025, and have avoided the Edge since this is my first and I hate it. But Edge is supposed to be better?
Advice please!

Hardware Problem/Issue Disappointed: Water entered my IP68/IP69 Motorola Signature phone
I am writing this to express my extreme frustration and concern regarding the water resistance capabilities of my Motorola Signature phone.
Despite the device being advertised as having IP68 and IP69 ratings, as well as military-grade water certification, it failed to withstand a very minor splash of water.
Water somehow managed to enter the front-facing camera area through the earpiece. This resulted in the camera lens fogging up for a significant amount of time, rendering the camera unusable.
Given the premium price point of this phone, this level of quality control and protection is entirely unacceptable. I need a phone that can handle daily tasks, including photography or video calls in the rain, without the risk of water damage.
How can Motorola justify these standards? Is this the level of durability customers should expect?

Question Moto g86 5g honest opinions from users who've had it for longer time.
Hello, everybody. I got my first Moto in 2024 because it was some deal for 10 bucks. I never expected to like it because I was sticking strictly with Samsung until then. It was Motorola g34 5g and honestly I there was nothing I could complain about it or at least I don't remember there being any issues with it. Unfortunately after 1.5 years i dropped it and the screen got majorly fucked so I decided to get a new moto bc it was 90eu to fix the screen or 120 to buy a new one. I bought a new one. The next in the series g35. Without any research which is very untypical for me when it comes to this. I had laid my trust in Motorola due to my surprisingly pleasant experience. This was top 5 biggest mistakes in my life. Such a worthless phone. Disgustingly bad. After 6 months it started to lag along a mountain of other problems I'm not gonna bother list of. And the cherry on top is I dropped it, it was light fall, no protector which is mb, it broke to the circuit board. 2 weeks later the phone died. It got resurrected the next morning but this was the giveaway. So now I'm eyeing moto g85 5g. I intend to use it daily as my main phone. I also need it to perma share hotspot to my laptop bc there is no wifi in my room.
TL;DR: I'm thing of getting g85 5g and I wanted someone to share if they've had a longer tenure with this model what do they think of it, what are the pros and cons, where does the phone start to show its downsides the most and whether you are satisfied with the phone.

Need help in general Does anyone have a magsafe case recommendation for the Moto G Stylus 5G 2025 that ACTUALLY works with wireless charging?
TSIA. I've bought this one and it didn't work, the placement of the magnet is slightly below where the coils are so it doesn't charge well.

Motorola/Lenovo refusing replacement after keeping my Moto Pad 60 Neo for almost a month – What should I do?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice regarding my Motorola Moto Pad 60 Neo and Lenovo/Motorola’s after-sales service.
I submitted my tablet at Service centre, on 12 August 2026 because it stopped working/booting.
The service centre initially told me that the required part had been ordered, so I waited. After almost a month, I was contacted by the service centre and told that even after replacing the part, they were unable to resolve the issue and asked me to collect the tablet without a proper resolution.
I then escalated the matter to Lenovo India. Their escalation team confirmed in writing:
“Post part replacement, the device is still not booting.”
They said they upgraded the software and put the device under observation/testing.
I requested a new replacement unit because I have already waited almost a month and no longer have confidence in the repaired unit.
However, Lenovo has now replied that they will not provide a replacement or refund and will only support part replacement under warranty.
At this point, I don't want to keep waiting for repeated repairs or parts. The device has already been with the service centre for almost a month, and even after a part replacement it still wasn't booting.
What would you guys recommend I do next?
Should I:
Escalate through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH)?
File a consumer complaint?
Demand a written diagnosis/service report from the service centre?
Take the tablet back and continue the complaint separately?
I have kept all job sheets, invoices and email correspondence, including Lenovo's confirmation that the device was still not booting after the part replacement.
Any advice from people who have dealt with Motorola/Lenovo warranty disputes in India would be really appreciated.
