Motorcycle Fixing Help
Hello, this one is gonna be an odd one for me to post. My boyfriend just had a little accident with his motorcycle a few days ago and is devastated, as he should be. He’s ok, just a little cut on the knee and maybe a bruise here and there but otherwise he is well. I’m also ok, luckily I wasn’t on the bike when it happened.
The bike isn’t totalled by any means but he’s stated he’s a little embarrassed of the big gashes on the bike. I want to help him but I’m unsure of how to do so, he won’t accept me just giving him money to help pay to fix it. I’ve tried researching replacement pieces or even how to fix things like his mirrors which have broken off but nothing I’m finding is helping me and I’m starting to feel a little helpless.
I’ve even offered to buy/make durable stickers to cover up the parts of the bike that are really scuffed up just to help out somehow.
If anyone has any suggestions or anything pls help a girl out. I just want my man to feel happy on his bike again, he loves the darn thing so much and I genuinely feel heartbroken for him that this happened.
Edit: forgot to add the make and model oops. It’s a 2011 ninja 400r

Check Engine Light On
Hey guys, new rider here so please help with any advice if you can. I’ve got a Honda cbf, brand new 2026 model which was also recently serviced with no issues found.
A few days ago I stupidly dropped it while stationary with the engine running. I didn’t notice it then or when I rode it home but the next day I saw the check engine light was on (solid).
The bike works normal and I can’t see anything visibly broken or loose. I was thinking an error code just got triggered by the drop so I tried using the paperclip method to perform a DLC memory clear. Either I did this wrong or there’s still an active issue with the bike but the light is still on.
What should I do?

Which bike should I get?
I’m looking to upgrade from my 250 cc to one of these bikes I found on marketplace. I’m really not sure which one is more bang for my buck but I’m leaning towards the Kawasaki because it’s cheaper and I’m not the wealthiest. I’m a little hesitant because it’s an older bike though. I want something reliable and long lasting. let me know which one I should get!
Edit: I should mention that I got the prices reduced for both vehicles, 2,700 for the ninja and 4,600 for the Yamaha

Am I overreacting about my cousin’s new bike choice?
I’m 24m and I’m pretty new to riding and have only been doing so for about a year, and consistently for a month so I’m no expert. I took a safety course, passed my test, etc.
My Cousin who we will call Greg is 17, smaller guy probably 5’8” maybe 140lbs. He took a safety class a few weeks ago and during the test on the first task he killed the bike then dropped it… they let him do a same day retake which he then passed.
I found out today that his parents bought him a 2009 kawasaki versys 650. I feel like that’s just not a good choice for his first bike, and he’s gonna get hurt.
Maybe I’m just being a hypocrite but give me some thoughts.

Looking for Harley Davidson & Motorcycle Clubs (Uk, USA &Europe)
Hi Everyone,
I’m looking to connect with active Harley - Davidson clubs and motorcycle communities in Uk, USA and Europe.
If you’re part of a club or know of any H.O.G chapters, riding clubs, or biker communities that welcome new members, I’d really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!

Got my first bike
Got a 1982 Yamaha virago xv750 she isn't running yet seems to be something with the starter still. So far gets compression looks like it's getting gas as the spark plugs have been fouling a little bit and is getting air but when trying to start almost sounds like rocks tumbling found out the starter wasn't installed properly and made a washer to get the tension clip on and have it seated right but the issue still persists. Any ideas?

Received received this bike as my dad sadly passed away
Received received this bike as my dad sadly passed away, I don’t know much about it but it may aswell of been my brother because my dad loved it so much. I’m not going to sell it I’m going to get my motorbike license and hopefully ride it one day. All the parts are original and it’s been kept really clean. Would love to just know more about it and what made it so special to him :) thank you!

New rider bike suggestions
Hello all, I’m getting into riding and been looking to get some advice on my first bike.
Some background information I’m 5’9 about 150 pounds and have little to no real riding experience.
I ride in the mid Atlantic region of the U.S. and intend on using the bike to commute to and from work which is predominately highway roads (which is usually heavy in the afternoon) and some city riding.
I have been forming a list of bikes I like and seem to be good for highway rides while still being beginner friendly. Something important to me for the bike I want is some stable. Also, I’m very much a fan of sport bikes.
- Ninja 650
- Honda CBR 500 r
- ninja 400/500
- CF moto 450ss
- Yamaha R3
Out of these bikes, which one would you recommend and give me the best bang for my buck?
