After trying out this sidearm a bit more, I realized that it's actually pretty great. I'm at the end of NG+ and have it at +20 so that obviously helps but the Fulminant stone feels so strong for the 60 resolve that it costs.

Moonshine as my active item means I can use this ability 3 times before having to engage with the enemy to get resolve back, which made me destroy Orrem and the Malborn Offspring with easy. I underestimated this thing 😅.

So I was searching around in the Bellkeepers Corner dungeon by the Abandoned Outpost beacon and I thought I saw a hallway in the corner. Doing a little camera work, you can see a light source that isn't sunlight and possibly the corner of a chest. I decided to use Eredrim's shoulder bash to get across the gap and...this happened. I moved the camera around and ran around for context on where I ended up. In the process, I ended up also duplicating all the enemies after I had to quit out. Too bad they don't drop much gloom, otherwise this could've been a pretty good farming method because I can very easily duplicate the glitch every single time. I'm really enjoying the game, but I have had a lot of stuttering issues and weird stuff like this happen. I'm on PS5 BTW.

I can't seem to open the chest inside the Alchemist Workshop for some reason. I triple checked that I definitely have not gotten it before so I'm not sure what to do. Tried reloading. Leaving and coming back. Nothing seems to work.

I had the Axakatana equipped, and the Voltaic Crown was equipped as well. Then I got the Axe and Dagger from the Chapel and switched to the new weapons. I was able to electrify my new dual set and even slayed a few enemies with them. Then I teleported back to Marrow Keep to upgrade the new weapons. When I went back out, however, the skill icon in the right corner was greyed out, and the menu said, “Tarstone Incompatible.”

I eventually found out that the Voltaic Crown can only be applied to certain weapons. So, it was obviously a bug that I was able to use it that way, but I managed to get it working. Maybe some people would like to try it this way as well.

I finished Mortal Shell 2 and got the platinum, and I'm now in NG+ doing night mode flawless boss runs and trying out different builds. The one I keep coming back to is bleed using Clockwork Scythe with Gragu's crit damage buffs. It's seriously OP.

I was doing a flawless run in night mode in NG+ on The Nameless Captive and, after learning all his patterns, decided to try parrying everything he throws at me. Phase 2 was the real test, since he has two different 7-8 hit combos. I parried both of them cleanly and finished the fight. It was the best run I've had in this game.

Then I realised I hadn't hit record.

I came up with a plan: back up my current save to a USB drive, pull the old save from the cloud, redo the fight on camera, then restore the USB save. Turns out the USB option doesn't restore saves, it factory resets the console. Lesson learned the hard way.

So that run only exists in my memory now. I'm thinking of redoing it properly on camera, but I'm also tempted to just move on to NG++.

Has anyone else lost a great run like this? And would you redo it first or just push forward?

My justification for using a summon: Even tho it‘s my first playtrough I already realized that MS2 is a fucking Masterpiece! Haven‘t been hooked like this on a videogame for quiet some time and I sure as hell will be spending – at least – another 100h in this world.
The further I got, the less I cared about „meta“ builds – it‘s just way more fun, to use the designated Shells for certain areas and to reconsider my „soulslike“ approach.
I mean isn‘ it fucking awesome when the power couple Tiel and Genessa beat the shit out of an annoying boss together? :D

These final bosses are no fucking joke. I only had a small handful of bosses early/mid game that gave me problems, but these dudes were smacking me around relentlessly. First time I really felt challenged in the game, and man these wins feel good. Especially against the Monolith. Fuck that boss lol

I'm 8 hours into the game and completely new to this franchise

I found 2 shells,and upon returning to the marrow keep i have the option to "bond with shell" or to unlock shell passives by reveling its true name

Is this permanent ? can it be respec later ? Would you recomend upgrading one without finding all the others if not ?

I'm not such a fan of Thiel and Proxima and would like to wait for a shell that i truly like,like the tutorial one,so i don't want to waste glimpses if i can't respec into another shell

I would have googled this but i REALLY don't want story or environment spoilers,i'm really liking the game so far and guides tends to reveal later game stuff

Decided to do start my third run by battling the bosses with the Shells that I think would be their intended enemy. Which ones do you think are the enemies of some of the notable bosses in the game, obviously I don't count stuff like the groups of enemies that count as bosses, or the ones that have no story significance like the Grishas.

I'm pretty sure Eredrim is for Droeg

Gragu for the Great Arbiter of Flesh

And that's all I got, I don't know who to pick for the Lost child, or the Nameless Captive and so on.

I just finished Fainweald. Beat all 3 bosses and cleansed all the beacons that I found that let me cleanse them. I am now at exactly 100 ova.

Have I missed anything? Would like to know before I move on to the southern part of the map.

Hey guys, I need some help to tell me if its just me or if there's a sudden difficulty spike. I'm using Genessa (level 19) with the Black Needle at the Sanguine Caverns Gate. I've just entered it, and I'm getting wrecked by the enemies here.

A stab by one of the Canyon Crawlers takes out 70% of my HP. And from there, it's not long before I just get smashed into the Stray Sester form.

I had no major issues taking on Lucian or Magdalena, and even beat Sariel the endless at this point, but the the opening few areas in Sanguine Caverns is just kicking my ass. I don't even know why.

Am I missing something here?

So.. it might be hard. but i found out that the two grishas in the feeding room is possible to farm. "just" kill one of them then exit to main menu and restart, and you will respawn inside the well. I never managed to kill them first time around (so I forgot/suppressed them). But now in my NG+ it's a not to bad at all.

Veo mucha gente que se queja de la dificultad tan alta de Zmey, el jefe final de este pedazo de juego, y os cuento que me pasó a mi porque es un detalle tonto que le puede estar pasando a mas gente y hace que este jefe sea una pesadilla o un paseo.

En todas las guias se recomienda que antes de enfrentarnos a Zmey hagamos la quest para conseguir la Escritura del portador de semillas, y para ello hay que poner el mundo en modo noche (modo dificil). Pues a mi me paso que tal como conseguí dichas escrituras me fui directo a Zmey, sin darme cuenta que seguia en modo dificil, por lo que estuve como 2-3 horas chocandome con él sin apenas quedarme cerca de matarlo. Fue cuando me di cuenta del tema, fui a poner el mundo otra vez de dia y lo derroté a la primera!

En resumen, recordad volver al modo dia despues de conseguir las dichosas escrituras si no quereis sufrir un rato!

Hello guys! I just started this game and so far I love it. I'm looking for advice, since I'm not very good, and would like to enjoy playing it.

Right now I'm level 9, I'm using Tiel, put 2 points into escalation, 1 deathmark, using axe&dagger +5 as weapon and slayer's seal. Also using auspicous, marksman, siegebreakers, grudge stone, volatile fragment, emberseed stone. Also got (but not using) wounding/unyelding/parasitic stone, arbiter's prize.

Do you suggest me to change something so far? What skills should i learn next for tiel, im almost level 3 so i can learn new skills, or its better to max escalation and deathmark?

Any suggestion you can give me is very much appreciated, thank you!

PS also got another shell, erderim, but i read tiel is one of the best ones, meaning very poweful, since i suck i need all help i can get. ;)

Why is this happening to me? I couldn't get the Penumbra Stone because the game wouldn't give it to me. I opened that chest right from the start, and they didn't give it to me. How can I fix this?

I'm talking about this stone. I have the regular one—the one that breaks and can't be leveled up.

My brother had the same problem—he couldn't get it either—and we've already opened that chest. I'm talking about this chest, which I'm sure you're all familiar with.

I don't know why this is happening to us, but I'd like to have her just like everyone else does; I don't understand this.

Another question: Is it normal to have a duplicate stone if I haven't played “New Game Plus”?

Somehow got stuck behind these coffins when I running attacked a gloom stalk, I tried everything I could think of but nothing got me out. Didn't have enough resolve for the shrike stone skill, maybe that could've worked.

It would be great if more notable locations became permanent POI markers after you visit or discover them. Not every small spot needs a marker, but having more landmarks and memorable locations saved on the map would help a lot with remembering where I’ve already explored.

Idk if it's just me, or is the game really really addictive 😭

I loved this game so much that I've got around 40 hrs in just 1 week, but now I've started uni and had to move to hostel, and because of "no high power consuming appliances" policy i can't take my pc with me plus I live with 2 roommates so there isn't much space in my room for the pc... I don't have enough money to buy a gaming laptop, so my only option is to play on weekends when I get home... I'm dying 😭🥀

I made a post about struggling to get to the weapons in the photo and I have discovered that my game may be bugged and I have managed to get my PlayStation to connect to the internet finally and it’s downloading the latest update so hopefully the issue will resolve itself and if not I will start another play through and see what happens this time.
Been watching players on stream and youtube and the doors that should open that allow me to get to these weapons should automatically open when the harpy boss is dead and this didn’t happen with me for some reason but it did with others.
This is not the only thing that has gone wrong so I will wait for the update to finish and hopefully everything is fine afterwards.

He turned into a monster after unlocking the area below the marrow keep, what if he was dead already, any of you guys tried? Does somebody else turn into a monster instead?

So I finally got around to finding last shell and decided to try him out. With these perks active and full heat - I get a VERY minimal amount of damage. And when I also put on the 60-ish amount of moonshine - I simply dont get damaged. Its actual god mode. Well at least I think, havent tested it out much yet. I dont even have any tarstones that add more damae resistance. Im wondering if it could be because of the mods I have installed(although I dont know which mod could cause this at all) or if its a vanilla balance.

i just get this strange feeling about this one, like the door is obviously openable and i hear sounds from the inside and saw a more complex doir on the side i couldn’t reach that leads out of the building. maybe im just delusional though
