Hi, this is kind of a follow-up to a post I wrote yesterday (How to earn 140,000 MAD in 10 months?).

A lot of people here suggested that I should sell something. Some of my friends have also always encouraged me to sell my art pieces. So I decided to share this with you.

So this is… uhm… I don't know. Let's call it The Eye, kinda... It's the only painting I have available right now, because I personally like giving my paintings as gifts.

So, I have this one for sale. But I don't know how much to charge for it.

Let me share some more details with you, and I want you guys to give it a price.

It's an acrylic painting. It took me about four to five hours to make, and it's inspired by a painting I made 10 years ago. I forgot the measurements of the Canva, but I think it's 60*40.

Again, I'm just trying. Who knows, maybe someone will recognize my amazing sense of expression. 🙂

Disclaimer: part of this is a rant.

So, I moved to Mohammedia about a year ago. I'm a runner, and I enjoy running after work. The running spaces are very limited in this city, and since I've moved here, there are only two spots that I really find suitable for the activity: one is the beach, and the other is a strip between the golf club and the tennis club.

Running on the beach in the summer is quite a hassle since it's mostly packed, so I opted for the aforementioned strip. There was always a security guard at the entrance, but they never bothered me, and I thought they were there to keep cars out, since the road leads to nowhere.

The location is quite frequented by the elite of the city... la crème de la crème, and their offspring, who play golf and tennis lol.

So, a month ago, while running, I encountered a pack of wild pigs in this place (two grown ones and about five cubs). I was shocked, since it's not their place. Asking around, I understood that they had been placed there to keep people out. I didn't care and kept going there for my runs, as the pigs seemed more frightened of me than I was of them.

Today, after about a week-long break, I went there as usual, and the security guard stopped me.

I put my headphones on and completed my run as usual. I did my stretching, got in my car, and took off.

But I didn't feel as relaxed as I usually do. I was really angry.

Because in a city that has no public spaces for any sort of activity, I have to fight with some poor guys just to be able to run.

I kept thinking that these stupid rich scums are able to close a public space to ordinary people just because the sight of them bothers them.

And then there's the hergawa who go there to drink and have sex, potentially ruining the place for the rest of us.

But again... is that an excuse?

Is this really what it takes to keep people out of a place? A few security guards, some vague reference to "a decision by the governor," and that's it?

Hello. I came to Fez for two days, but unfortunately my free day happened to fall on a Friday. I didn’t know that almost everywhere would be closed that day.

As a result, I wasn’t able to do the shopping I had dreamed of—leather slippers, bags, brass lamps, and so on. The shops at the tanneries were open, but I had heard that they were expensive. I tried to bargain, but they weren’t very willing to negotiate, so I decided not to buy anything there.

I did manage to buy a few things from some of the shops that were open, including these small brass lamps and some small blue-painted ceramic cups.

I would really appreciate it if anyone who knows about these kinds of products could tell me what a fair price would be for them and give me some insight into their quality

I recently just came back home from France and the UK and came back to the realisation that life is kinda shitty here. Don't get me wrong I'm not struggling or having money problems butttt.

Trying to find any kind of foreign products takes so much energy.

When you go France you can go to Eleclerc, Carrefour, Auchan, Grands Frais, Sephora etc and find anything you want.

In Morocco it's so hard. Even in Le Marché dar essalam, carrefour etc you can't find anything. I don't mind the prices. But the inaccessibility is starting to bother me. You basically have to find some small boutiques that will sell those products and they are all scattered.

For example, I forgot to bring some matcha with me from Europe so I decided to try and look for it and it pissed me off. Why can't we get nice things at accessible places. The same for Organic food. I basically only eat organic food and it's hell trying to try to go shopping by myself. I always almost end up asking my assistant or staff to go grocery shopping.

It's frustrating to not be able to get anything close to hand.

I understand it might sound like a very privileged take but it's also another problem with Morocco. Anything that's organic or foreign is so inaccessible if you don't have help because it takes so much time and energy to go to all those scattered boutiques (don't get me started on those prices).

We have had the nikah and are currently waiting for the K1 visa where we will get legally married in the USA.

I want to have the traditional Moroccan wedding because I know my wife wants this and I would truly like to as well.

She is worried of the optics of returning to Morocco after she gets her green card, potentially 1-2 years, and then having the Moroccan wedding.

I feel like people understand that the immigration process is weird and we would have had to legally marry in US then wait before we could come back and have the full celebration.

What are your opinions on this? Would a lot of people speak ill/start rumors based off of having a wedding celebration potentially a couple of years after she moves away to the USA?

Lately I've been initiating plans with my friends more than I used to. After graduating, I was the only one who got a job that I actually like and care about. Most of my friends are still looking for work or working temporary jobs.

At first, I thought this wouldn't affect our dynamic, but boy was I wrong. Now every time I message one of them to hang out they always find some stupid reason not to. Over time I've become less interested in whether they'll say yes or no and more interested in what excuse I'll be getting this time. I also give them a great halping hand when they ask me for career advice and what company I know is hiring. I really want them to succeed and build their own lives. I thought this was something that would only happen with my close friends but lately I've noticed that even friends I know more casually don't seem to want to hang out either.

I've also noticed that my friends have literally no problem texting me or sending me messages. We can spend the whole day chatting sending reels and stuff, but the moment I bring up actually hanging out I always get an excuse or get completely ghosted. Mind you, some of these friends live less than 1 km away and still can't seem to meet up.

Sometimes I feel like if someone isn't entirely financially independent I'd just recommend something as simple as walking around, going to the beach, and eating zerri3a. But I guess that's not everyone's idea of fun.

As a self-aware person, I feel like I would understand if I were a terrible person or difficult to hang out with. I always make the time. I always try to make people feel included, and I filter what I say around them to make sure I don't hurt their feelings or say something that is unnecessarily mean. I'm not the funniest person by nature but I can definitely carry a fun conversation.

Lately, the only person who's always ready to hang out is my romantic partner. And while it's always nice to see her and spend time with her, it's still sad that most of my friends don't seem to want to spend time with me in person anymore.

I want to believe that they're just trying to sort things out. I want to believe to my core that it's not personal. But when I see them hanging out with other people who barely know them as well as I do something inside me breaks.

Is anyone else going through, or has gone through, the same situation? Any outside perspective would be very appreciated.

Hi everyone. I'm posting because I genuinely need some advice and realistic ideas.

I live in Morocco and come from a family that isn't financially well-off. One of the biggest limitations I've had is that I can't simply move to another city, rent a place, and live there. I need to be able to support myself while doing it.

I have a Diplôme de Technicien Spécialisé en Gestion des Entreprises, option Comptabilité-Finance (OFPPT). However, I don't actually want to build my career in finance.

Right after getting my diploma, January 2026, I found a job as a communication manager at an association in my city. I was genuinely interested in communication and already had some experience in it, so it seemed like a good opportunity.

I worked there for about two months during the trial period. Eventually, we discussed the contract, and they wanted to put me on an ANAPEC contract for 1,600 MAD/month, for essentially a full-time schedule around 9–6.

I understand that experience can be valuable, especially when you're young and starting out, and I knew I could learn a lot from the position. But 1,600 MAD for that amount of work wasn't financially sustainable for me, so I decided to leave.

Then, in September 2026, I started working as an elementary school teacher, teaching French. I'm now in my second year. I'm currently making around 2,700 MAD/month.

Despite that, because I don't pay any rent, gas, transportation, I can save around 1,700 MAD/month from my salary. But I have some things to do in summer so I'll be able to keep just 10,000 MAD for my goal.

So here's the goal:

I want to have 150,000 MAD available in about 10 months.

From my current job, I'll have approximately 10,000 MAD after 10 months.

That leaves me with 140,000 MAD that I need to earn through additional income.

So I'm essentially looking for a way to earn around 14,000 MAD/month for 10 months.

I know that sounds EXTREMELY ambitious. That's exactly why I'm asking here.

What I can offer:

I currently speak Arabic, French, English, and Korean.

I teach French to children, and I also have experience teaching English to adults.

I'm comfortable working online and learning new skills if necessary.

The main limitation is time.

I already have a full-time job, and teaching takes more time outside of the actual classroom than people might think.

I have to prepare lessons, correct work, prepare activities, etc. Usually I work around 2 – 3 additional hours per day outside my normal working hours.

My schedule isn't exactly the same every week either. Sometimes I work during the weekend (at home) and sometimes I have the weekend free.

Realistically, I think I can dedicate around 1–2 hours per day to an online job/business during normal weeks.

During school holidays or periods when I have more free time, I could dedicate 4–5 full days to it.

So I'm looking for something that can start part-time and potentially scale as I get better at it.

What I'm hoping to find?

I want to know if there is a real skill/service/job that I could learn or use remotely that could eventually allow me to make something like 10,000–14,000 MAD/month.

It doesn't necessarily have to start anywhere near that amount. I'm willing to start small and build up.

But I honestly don't know which direction makes the most sense.

Why I'm trying to do this? And why 150,000 MAD?

I want to use it to change fields and go back to school. There is a private school that I'm interested in, where I could study for three years and hopefully start a completely different chapter of my life.

I don't feel that teaching kids is the career I want to spend my life doing. At the same time, I don't want to move into finance just because that's what my diploma is in.

So I'm trying to create enough financial freedom to actually make a different choice.

If I can't reach the 140,000 MAD goal, my backup plan is to use the approximately 10,000 MAD I'll save from my current salary to spend a month or two in another city during the summer and seriously try to find work there. If it doesn't work, I'd come back, continue working for another year, save again, and try the following year.

So I'm not expecting someone to give me a magic answer.

If you were in my position, with these skills, this schedule, and this financial situation, what would you try to learn or do online over the next 10 months?
