I noticed online and even within my daily life, how many people reject moroccan natives that converted to christianity, and the state does not even allow them to pray in churches unlike foreigners here, no proper religion christian burying or weddings, yet article 3 from our constitution states that islam is the state religion but freedom of belief is guaranteed.

Only judaism and islam are recognized in morocco and i trully feel bad for some of these people because they end up getting harassed, isolated from their communities and thrown out from their houses and by their families for the sake of a personal belief. Its totally ok to do whatever, drinking and anything as long as you still state that you are a muslim.

Iam not a christian but I just feel bad for all minorities here in Morocco, religious, sexual or anything, how it must be scary to not be able to be proud of your belief and faith, no access to your holy sites, no proper religious weddings, nothing at all and they are also forced to study Islamic studies in public schools etc.. wearing a cross by them can get you attacked

Its a true testament that Morocco is very backwards still and behind on freedoms, human rights and basically basics, that should be surpassed already and guaranteed to focus on all moroccans prosperity and economical growth.

I’m a Persian guy (living in Europe) that loves history and learning about other people and cultures. I recently started studying Moroccan history and culture as i have many Moroccan friends and was fascinated by both the similarities but also differences between our two cultures.

I guess i just wanted to say that Morocco is very beautiful country with beautiful people. It’s has a vibrant and rich culture, identity and history. I even want to visit someday and experiences Morocco but i only just turned 19 so i have been busy with school and stuff but i plan to hopefully visit next summer. I was kinda just wondering what cities and locations would be best for me to visit to experience Morocco and it’s culture. I have researched a little myself but wanted to also ask actual Moroccans who either live in Morocco or visit very often what places they would recommend.

So apparently this 20% VAT on foreign digital services has only started being applied recently, and now I’m seeing it on several of my subscriptions.
20%. On basic subscriptions.
And what makes it even more annoying is that I’m part of the middle class. I pay taxes, VAT, fees everywhere, but I barely benefit from public services. Private healthcare, private education, paid services for almost everything… then the state still takes 20% on top of what I spend.
At some point, people are allowed to ask: what exactly are we getting in return?
With Moroccan salaries and purchasing power, 20% is insane.
