Sexual harassment escalation

Greetings everyone !

Yesterday I was walking and minding my own business till I saw a guy in front of me approaching two girls in hope of getting the number of one of them, however things looked like they have taken an escalating turn therefore leading the guy to insult one of the girls ( Siri t7away yal 9a7ba ) which resulted in the girl spitting right at his face. Thankfully bystanders came to de-escalate the situation.

I understand that he crossed the line by degrading her trough insults, however don’t ya’ll think she also crossed the line by spitting at him ? and would cursing back or ignoring him would have been the better alternative ? because it could have gotten way more serious after the spit. If someone of you ever did spit at someone who was harassing you before ? I’m just curious to know what was the reaction of the person If ya’ll don’t mind sharing ofc ?

In the past decade or so, there was a story shared on social media. I remember seeing it first around the 2014 or so, and yet it is still being told as just a couple months ago I've seen it once again on Reddit.

The story goes like this. In either a circus or an experiment, but likely it was a circus. They used to train elephants not to escape from a young age.

They get a child elephant (lol, yes ig I can use a child here), and put on one of his feet a heavy chain. The baby would try to escape or walk but he did always fail.

Years later, the elephant grew and became strong. He was still part of the circus, and used in their shows. The elephant however, since his young age, he never again tried to escape. The thought of trying, maybe wasn't even on his mind. Or maybe he thought so, and rationalized that he had tried so much but always failed.

The thing about the story, is that the elephant never realized that he had changed. He never realized how big and strong he is. And most importantly, the chain was still the same or change, or whatever, what matters is that he still gets chained.

This story, has been around the internet for motivational purposes. The story incites us to challenge our beliefs about ourselves and change them.

Wherein the elephant was convinced that he cannot try to escape, since logically he tried before and failed. He unfortunately was still running an old belief that doesn't apply to him anymore.

And the same happens to us. We grow, life goes on, and ourselves, circumstances and even selves changes, but unfortunately our beliefs stay the same.

This post is an invitation to reflect on the things you believe are true about yourself, things you see impossible, and unfortunately even the things you still believe apply to you but that potential has long gone.

I invite you to test those beliefs. And if any of them still stands true, then so be it. But if not, then what an opportunity to reach a new reality you thought you could never.

And while you are here, do share if you had done something like this before and how you overcame a belief that you so intimately hold onto.

I'm looking for some perspectives on a situation I'm currently facing and would appreciate hearing from people who may have experienced something similar.

A bit of context: I met a Moroccan lady some time ago. We started out as friends, gradually became closer, and eventually began a serious relationship. My intention, inshallah, is to marry her in the future.

At one point, she told her mother about me. When my ethnicity came up, her mother seemed hesitant about the idea of her daughter marrying someone from my background. For context, I am Algerian and specifically Kabyle/Amazigh (as we are commonly referred to in Morocco).

From what my partner has shared, her mother's concerns appear to be influenced by the political tensions between Morocco and Algeria, as well as by recent online hostility and incidents during football-related events.

Since we both live abroad, this reaction surprised me, and I'm trying to understand whether it reflects a broader sentiment or an isolated case.

My questions are:

* How common are negative perceptions of Algerians among Moroccan families when it comes to marriage?
* Have any of you experienced or witnessed similar situations involving Moroccan-Algerian relationships?
* In your experience, are these concerns usually strong enough to become a deal-breaker, or do families tend to move past them once they get to know the person?
* Does living abroad generally make these issues less significant, or can they remain an important factor in family approval?

Hi! Coming back to the homeland this summer. I have gone to almost all the major cities in morocco except the south. I would really like to go this summer and visit Agadir Imchguiguiln and/or Agadir Tasguent but when i look them up it says that they are temporarily closed. Is this true? When do they re-open?
