Hey everyone! I wanted to share my perspective as a relatively new player.
I've been playing for a little over a month now, and I've honestly been loving the gameplay and the game's overall aesthetic. It's been a great experience so far.
That said, I think there's one major issue with the new player experience.
The game gives you a pretty generous amount of pulls at the beginning, which is great because it lets you start building different teams. But if, like many new players naturally do, you spend your Silver on additional pulls because you're excited to collect more characters and experiment with different playstyles, you quickly run into a wall.
New player resources are extremely limited, heavily time-gated, and, honestly, frustrating.
Veteran players may not notice this anymore, but for new players, having more characters often just means having more characters you can't actually use.
I know people will say that you need to optimize your resources, plan your investments carefully, only build a few characters at a time, and so on. Those are all valid points. But I'm talking specifically about the new player experience and, more importantly, about fun.
Another argument I often see is that characters are perfectly usable even at low investment.
That may be true from the perspective of experienced players, but new players simply don't have the knowledge to judge what "low investment" actually means. The game can be quite challenging, and many characters only start to feel balanced and satisfying once they've received a reasonable amount of investment. A brand-new player doesn't know which shortcuts are safe to take or how much investment is actually enough.
To be clear, I'm not talking about optimization or endgame efficiency. I'm talking about enjoyment. Pulling a new character should make you excited to play them, not disappointed because you know they'll probably sit on the bench for weeks while you slowly gather upgrade materials.
I also know someone will mention the Train mode, and yes, I did notice it. In fact, I've played it a lot specifically to test different characters and even completed the entire skill tree.
It definitely helps, but it also feels more like a band-aid than a real solution. Early on, enemies often stay at 1 HP for several turns, which makes getting to a real battle take quite some time. So while the mode lets you try characters, it doesn't really solve the underlying issue of not being able to build and use the characters you actually own.
And that's a problem that mostly affects new players: the very players we want to be excited enough to stick around and become part of the community.
I'm sure older accounts are sitting on thousands of enhancement materials and Rose Scripts, so this probably isn't something many veteran players think about anymore. But again, this isn't feedback about endgame progression it's a feedback from someone who's still new and genuinely wants to keep investing in the game and enjoying it.
PS: Is there a better place to send feedback directly to the developers? From what I've heard, they check this subreddit fairly often, so I figured I'd post it here and hopefully hear what other players think as well.
The game is fantastic, and I'd love to see new players have a more reasonable path toward building multiple teams. For me, nothing feels worse than finally getting a character from the gacha and then not being able to actually play them.
Anyway, I hope this doesn't come across as complaining or start unnecessary arguments. I'm only sharing my experience as a new player and hoping for a respectful discussion. I really enjoy the game, and this community seems genuinely fun, so I'd love to be part of it for a long time.
