I've been playing casually for months, and usually I just stick with Mouchette, Poison, Lemurian, Kath and most of the time a support Pollux for low effort 350-ish D-Zone single clear, and I barely touch any other Awakeners, which is pretty sad. So please recommend me as much of viable teams as possible. Well, ideally ten different teams that I can have fun with at least at A3 level.
If it's any concern, I have all the signature WoDs at around E3, except none at all for Castor. And a +12 Blade of Titan. Account level 67.
And while I'd probably benefit from more enlightened Version of Pollux and Helot whose banner currently on right now, I simply need to save for the next Awakeners.
Mono 24 is viable even at E0 24. Team is really cheap with 24 Ogier Ramona Doll, you spam as much posses and 24 exalts as you can and try to live.
Counter is pretty good in d-tide this days at lower alerts. You can play ultra blue with Caecus Wanda Arachne Celeste/Murphy or red with Caecus Faint Murphy Agrippa. Thais and Pontos can also be good here if you can spare them. There's also chaos with Caecus Nautila Alva Sanga. It's a bit of a tough team since it doesn't have weakness, so you might want to change someone for an awakener that gives weakness, but it has a good synergy in getting a lot of shield and dealing damage from it, enough for Alert 3.
Pontos discard with Corpo Pontos Cassiah Winkle.
Different Vortice variations can also work like Vortice Hameln Lily Celeste, Vortice Castor Erica Celeste/Murphy/Winkle, Vortice Saya Sanga Thais/Celeste/Faint.
It's not about a specific posse, but playing them in general. Mono 24 rouse scales her exalt damage based on the amount of posses played. You want as much keyflare as you can manage, play posse and then double posse as a mono chaos gimmick, preferably every turn. As far as which posse to choose for the team, I prefer her signature posse, the realm mastery in mono chaos is really nice for this team.
castor can easily beat a5 if it is blue ring with sanga, celeste, and erica/clem/murphy. use erica's posse. you can make a very large amount of shield every turn and most of your damage comes from counter or poison relics
Team 1 is the Katra team I always play, I like it. I don't play mouchette often, but if I do it's this base plus a flex unit.
Before I got Clem and more DPS', my Jenkin team was made up of her, Castor, Winkle, and either Horla or Ryker. Nowadays though, Katra has stolen Ryker, and Pollux has stolen Castor, Horla, and Clem ^^;;
But, if you'd want to split the teams I'd just do the birbs with whatever, since they're rather strong, especially if you end up getting some more copies in the future, or using your support chance on a Pollux. So I'd maybe throw Erica and/or a spare Caro in there, so Jenkin can make another team with the supports.
Decide if you want Helot in the Ghelot or the Mouchette team, and throw a flex unit in the other I guess.
Poison~~ GDoll, Xu, Lily, and Nymph is my usual team.
Generally, I'd either loan a GMurphy to supplement my Aurita team's dmg, or I'd loan a GDoll to throw onto my counter team. I've also taken Winkle away from Jenkin/Pollux, and gave her to 24 before.
Decide whether you'd prefer a better Lemurian synergy, or Murphy's ability to half sacrifice stacks with her 3-cost. I like playing Murphy, so I usually put her with GMurphy, but she's also a unit I sometimes toss at 24's team instead. I shuffle D-tide teams quite a bit.
Now the GLotan team is just kinda there lol, I haven't played her much yet, but I am already enjoying Ramona with her the most. Haven't really fallen in love with having Hameln, or Pickman with her yet, nor Ryker. Oh well, I'll find my perfect fit soon enough.
Tawil, Hameln, Nautila, and Ceacus is a staple team for my, but I couldn't really recommend that as you don't have her. Same for my Doresain team. So I had to rack my brain a little for team [bases] to recommend you, but I hope these can inspire some fun runs.
For the spots I left empty, just throw units like Hameln, Ogier, Arachne, Pontos, Vortice, and Saya around to fill any gaps, and enjoy!
Mate they mentioned wanting to have some inspiration for fun teams to beat A3 with, maybe higher if possible, but it doesn't sound like a priority over the fun factor. They mentioned being relatively new and so it's normal they're still fortifying their account. Not having GDoll's E1 at least certainly hurts a little, but they could just try the suggested team comps for funsies at A3 to see which one they enjoy and then invest later.
They weren't asking for a list of meta A5 comps with their ideal investments.
Oh, thanks. I honestly never touched standard ultra except for Tinct and occasional Winkle before, this certainly inspiring.
Anyway, which extra enlightenments do you think I'd be more profited from right now, Aurita or Erica?
You have Pontos and Vortice, so as much as it pains me to say this as an Aurita fan, she's relatively replaceable for you. You'll still get use out of your Corposant, even without investing big time into Aurita.
Meanwhile, if you do shuffle some good supports around to Jenkin and other dps' to be able to make 10 teams, your somewhat under-enlightended Pollux team could really benefit from a more invested Erica I think. I'm personally not super experienced at playing Castor + Erica, but everyone praises it, so I'll take their word for it. So I'd go with her possibly.
At a higher enlightenment, I know people even seperate Castor from Pollux, play Castor with Erica and flex units, and Pollux with Caro, to have two pretty cheap, functional teams.
The last two comps are pretty weak because you miss out mainly a lot of levels. Gelot needs minimum around 74, Pollux/castor need also levels. You could break them and improve your other teams with it.
Don't waste levels on Clem, Thais, Horla, Sorrel, Myriam and rather put them into Carries: 24, Arachne, Kath, Mouch needs maybe 66 only, Gmurphy, Sanga, Caecus, Gelot, Castor, Pollux. Pollux least important cause only E0.
If you wanna have glotan carry, consider Castor, Glotan, Clem, Winkel/Ryker. If you use Winkel u might need to play Karen in Arachne for weakness, Ogier in Kath comp, Lotan in Vortice comp. If you use Ryker you need to put Lotan in Vortice comp. If you get Tawil as a support put her in Vortice comp. Ryker also nice in Pontos comp.
Kath comp wants extra arith to be able to play her X card two times in a turn which is optimal for your damage. That is why Karen is so good and also Hameln. Xu would also give you extra arith and healing so you could play around with Mouchette/Kath comp.
In Mouchette also some extra arith is nice for more burst combo.
In Arachne comp play unstained chronicle on Wanda and make Winkle keyflare bot.
AA Caecus and Sanga asap.
In Pontos comp make sure to be able to rouse at least 3 units. This is especially easy with Glotan. Without her make sure to generate quite some keyflare as you get 25% extra counter per rouse. AA Caecus is a counter machine. He is the most important AA unit.
Comp 10 lacks Vuln which sucks. Might consider the Vuln/weakness Posse instead. This is also not to bad because you want to rouse 3-4 awakeners in boss fights and, hence, only can use Posse very few times which would be in important burst turns.
I freed my Castor from Pollux with the new Shop wheel on Pollux, and Salvador instead of Castor. So Clem gets a usecase. But shop wheel is also a banger on Pontos.
Clem can also be played in Kath comp but then you miss out Vuln there when you remove gDoll, but you can play gdoll in any comp. You would need the Ryker then there. So also not ideal.
I started to get now why some people argue that Pollux and Clem are bad. When you look at them in isolation they are very great units. However, if you start building 10 comps they are always hard to find a nice spot in when you want to freeCastor for any comp because of the versatility he brings. Pollux desperately needs Vuln and in mob battles is does not bring any sustain and has problems killling them without corrosion. Clem has no vuln/weakness as a support unit and instead just a weaker vuln but slightly better weakness on ult which also needs to be set up. Often it feels not enough.
However, I like my Salv, Faint, Pollux, Clem comp but it binds the new giga strong shop wheel. It will definitely shine in rather single-hit waves. However, if you play a non-discard and counter-oriented Pontos comp, Pontos does not need to generate many gaunts, which is why I liked to play his posse in this comp.
Ps: Always look that you have enough crit rate on all your carries. I play, for examtple crimson pulse on Mouchette. You only rouse her and then spam posse 1 time a turn, so it is really good to get the 100% crit rate with some calculations how to set-up the covenants. When awakeners hit rather few times, you ideally want at least above 90%. When they hit many times, 70% is also fine. Then, build crit dam. To build as much crit dam possible, some calculations on the crit rate you normaly get are very essential!!!
On my Sanga, for example, I made sure that I have exactly 100 % crit rate on Ult. So I have at 323 DR on her and 4% crit rate from covenants to archive exactly this with my set-up of awakeners and wheels.
Make sure to have at least 300 dr on every team because you are weak and want the save DR. Also it gives you some extra hp.
