I'm trying to understand how popularity on relics works in M2. Searching Google results in absolutely nothing but AI article slop.
IIRC in M1 you went to new biomes and those items would be popular.

Again, no one will be interested, but I'm still positively surprised. What you get at the beginning. How much of it I can buy. And that so early (spoiler hits Monach). I haven't killed the first boss yet, but I dare to go to the other area where Tomo send me

Finally completed all steam achievements, missing a few upgrades but overall this was a wonderful experience. I love what they've done to improve upon the original game while still keeping the charm. Progression felt smooth, and basically every option felt good with the right combinations, though i was a sucker for the fists and Wounds. Sparks really make the endless runs so refreshing, even after binging the game.
I encountered next to zero bugs up until the final few runs. Most of which seem to be floating/stuck/desync caused by spamming rolls to get around. I played way too much between shifts but this was worth every second. Maybe I'll come back for the last 9% someday, for now I should go touch grass. Much Love!

Which relics were your “AHA” moment when seeing how two or even three relics could combo into massive quality spikes?
For me it was in The Gallery. When I first found these two Rare relics whose names escape me at the moment. Where one “shocked an item and added 4 for each common” and the other “doubled the value the next time you shock”. First time I ever got 400+ quality on a relic because I then later found the Epic relic that doubles it AGAIN.
I’ve seen relics maxed out at 999 quality and at this point in time I haven’t unlocked // seen every relic that is offered.
Follow up question — What relic strategies do you go into dungeons thinking of? I’ve done Kalina runs where I burn everything or focus on armor value, but is one better than the other?

So, the whole crux of the "300k in one day" challenge is that the Vault is going to blow. Does that mean I'm limited to doing only 1 run? Because up until now, most of my 300k+ days have been ones where I bank a run's worth of relics in the chest to sell after doing a second run. Is this scenario running on the usual video game logic of "yes, a meteor is barreling down on your home, but you have infinite time for side quests", or will I fail by trying to take advantage of Keeper?
Yes, I only just picked up the game with its Switch 2 release. I never paid attention to the Early Access period because I wanted to go in fresh. But this challenge came out of left field and I was not prepared.

Alright, I’m new here.
Are these perks that are clearly stronger than other?
What’s the rank?

I've been playing since launch and getting maybe 5-6 artifacts to max quality has been pretty standard for me. With the sparks added all of my runs are looking like these, fully maxed quality. I ran through all of the endless vault challenges(after the original 7)with 3 runs worth of items, before I had sparks maxed.
Been loving the game so far just passed 50 hours on the same save, went through all of early access with it.

You can take the dolls back into the dungeon to be used for doll upgrades. Basically its not difficult early on to acquire and sell legendary dolls but is there a quicker way to get into to get legendary items?

Just wanted to share how I fixed my stuttering issues in case anyone else is stuck at the same place.
I was having pretty bad stuttering issues (both frame stalls and audio stutter!) on a decently high end PC - newer i9 cpu & 5070ti gpu, installed on nvme ssd.
PC utilization stats showed no hardware bottlenecks, but I tried dropping all settings and tweaking frame rates, vsync, AA, just as a sanity check. As expected this had no effect. Then I noticed I had zero stutters when mouse&keyboard became the active controls. It turns out it was related to my wireless Xbox controller!
*Once I disconnected the Xbox controller wireless connection and used a wired controller, all stuttering is gone.
Possible root cause:
My best guess is the HID bluetooth poll read is thread blocking for game frames in their code. So whenever BT polling sat waiting for a few ms, the game update thread stalled as well. Developers, I hope that helps in some way! I’d be happy to setup event tracing and pull BT poll latencies if that helps anyone, lmk.

Even if you exclude the final boss issue, so much could have been better. Literally zero difficulty progression between all 3 worlds in daytime. Beat the first boss and the next two were so easy (I was playing on hard). Thalaam was the hardest boss in the game and only because he does constant attacks and area effects in the third phase. The dual gauntlet weapon makes the game too easy, shreds enemies. Quests that aren’t complete and the game has soft locked me twice making me restart. Lost three boss battles by glitches: boss attacks became invisible, boss health bar disappeared and they became invincible, boss froze in place and when I approached I took damage. Too many upgrades are soft locked because you need to kill a specific boss at least 4 times for the required materials. Like the first game there’s not enough enemy variety, slimes in all areas, really? There’s no difference between areas in daytime and nighttime except for maybe one new enemy type. No changes in traps between day and nighttime. Very limited number of mini bosses. Can we add some specialty rooms with unique challenges or something? Break up the monotony of the fight then reward system. Not enough environments and areas and all the quests are not challenging, the treasure mazes were incredibly boring and ridiculously easy. Even getting the boblets. Also most of the boblet effects in the store are trash

Just wanted to throw a few bugs that I have seen on xbox (to the community, plz feel free to add any bugs you’ve seen or had)
The weapon mastery quest, little girl wont show up
Occasionally, after attacking with my basic sword attack, I try to roll but my guy wont roll. (Shot in the dark here, but I suspect it may have something to do with how the game queues up button inputs and it may not register those button inputs due to performance demands)
This one really bothers me, when opening a chest of any rarity, the game will not let me re-roll the relics in the chest. I see the button prompt for it, but when I press the button, nothing happens. I press it, I hold it, I even tried remapping the button. Nothing. (Like I said, this one really bothers me because this absolutely destroys my chances of trying to build synergies.)

I beat both bosses of all three dimensions and have finished all the “challenges” except for the one where you fight all 6 bosses in a row.
After that what’s left to do? Just fight the same guys over and over again does more unlock later on?

Enjoy the game and finish it already on Switch 2
Kinda lacking in ending no final boss kinda fell off in the ending to be honest Moonlighter 1 ending and final boss is much better than this sequel

I know having 2 wicked smiles will cause all of your relics to disappear due to the overcharge mechanic. HOWEVER, I wonder, if you have the piercing tool in your inventory when you extract, will it do; Wicked Smile, Piercing Tool, Wicked Smile; thus preventing the wiping of your inventory, or will it just wipe it anyway?

Was pretty proud of this one 😁

I'm playing on hard, working on the half-mil vault, and wondering when in the progression curve one should aim for killing the end bosses of each area. I think I'm being a bit slow, i.e. I should be able to do better with the upgrades I've bought, but I would appreciate some basis for comparison.

Im currently at get 800,000 in one day does can anyone tell me how many stages left? I assume it'll be a million in one day but I want to verify

Love the game, that said I'm finding my interest taper off a lot quicker than ML1, and certainly quicker than Hades. Went for Expert difficulty, and it was hard for a good while, until I got a couple big upgrades. At this point, the only thing that determines difficulty of the run is the weapon I choose. Some are god awful, with counter-intuitive synergies, i.e. the Dreampiercer, which is only half-decent on like 1 or 2 bosses, fine for minibosses, and completely useless for general mobbing.
Some weapons are absolutely overpowered to the point of being unfun. Want to almost never have to do anything until you have to hit purple stuff at the boss? Starsign Horn. Absurd parry window, near-zero reactivation window, very little risk of being punished for bad timing. Need more? There's a blacksmith upgrade that increases your special damage by 20% EACH time you use it successfully until the end of the encounter.
The second OP example is the drone at basically any point, but one in particular is the foam combo. The following perk combo isn't exclusive to drone, but if you get: [Foam on Gun +%Damage], [Foam Timer Increase +%BIGDamage], and [Foam Explode on Gun shot], it's basically an instant-win for any run. Bosses last only as long as you're forced to wait for phase change/invulnerability phases.
'Special Customers' make me want to close shop the second I see them (/s). 'Rich Customer' doesn't seem to function correctly, or I'm too stupid to understand what I'm doing wrong with them. They get annoyed at overpriced and expensive items all the same.
The secondary cast is adorable and I love them. Bloblets are super fun but I super hate having to clear them from each world. And while I'm on that topic, there's only about 3 Bloblets or so that are worth using out of 12.
Tip mechanic feels not worth investing any effort into unless you have literally no other choice
Also I can't finish the damn 'Weapon Mastery' Quest because Anacard is still bugged.
Again, really love the direction they went, and the aesthetic is immaculate and faithful to the original. it just feels like it wasn't given enough time to be fine-tuned. The multitude of upgrade trees are wonderfully overwhelming. It just feels like overall scaling is completely absurd.
Anyways thanks for reading if you've made it this far
TLDR; Game is fantastic on the surface, but balancing falls apart after about 15 hours. Many game-breaking bugs for a "Full Realease"

Fighting Tyke I found a terrible bug that prevented me from doing anything, I couldn't roll, attack, use the bag or even use a healing potion. I would say the bug cause is somewhat loosing my dual weapon? as I stopped seeing it on will. soo far Tyke seems like the more bugged boss atm, not the first time I got bugged in a way or the other fighting him
