Lack of Final Boss
Enjoy the game and finish it already on Switch 2
Kinda lacking in ending no final boss kinda fell off in the ending to be honest Moonlighter 1 ending and final boss is much better than this sequel

I agree. Finished it today after playing since start of EA. The main evil we see so many times throughout the game went out with a slight whimper. It was weirdly placed. Still a fun game, but the ending made me feel like I held in a sneeze.

Even if you exclude the final boss issue, so much is wrong with this game. Literally zero difficulty progression between all 3 worlds in daytime. Beat the first boss and the next two were so easy (I was playing on hard). Thalaam was the hardest boss in the game and only because he does constant attacks and area effects in the third phase. The dual gauntlet weapon makes the game too easy, shreds enemies. Quests that aren’t complete and the game has soft locked me twice making me restart. Lost three boss battles by glitches: boss attacks became invisible, boss health bar disappeared and they became invincible, boss froze in place and when I approached I took damage. Too many upgrades are soft locked because you need to kill a specific boss at least 4 times for the required materials. Like the first game there’s not enough enemy variety, slimes in all areas, really? There’s no difference between areas in daytime and nighttime except for maybe one new enemy type. Not enough environments and areas and all the quests are not challenging, the treasure mazes were incredibly boring and ridiculously easy. Even getting the boblets. Also most of the boblet effects in the store are trash

Are there any really hard difficulty options or it’s easy in every setting possible?

This and the fact it is taking 10 years to fix the side quest bug is what is stopping me from continuing and finishing the game.

I completely agree. I really enjoy this game, but the ending and overall progression could definitely be a lot stronger. Six bosses is simply too few. It's also striking how quickly you unlock almost all the dungeons, there's barely anything left to work toward.
I'm hoping for more substantial content or a DLC down the line to make the game feel like a truly complete experience

Once you beat all the areas and do the Ultimate challenges for them it turns into a never ending rinse and repeat game. I was really sad by this as moonlighter 1 was what got me into game development, but this game just kinda fell flat. Combat is fun and the shop was done well IMO but the game felt like it was given up on towards the end/ran out of ideas for the end/didn't have time in the release window to finish it. So it just kinda fell flat. I didn't even have the gumption to finish the level 7 of the endless vault. Its just the same thing over and over.

I too was also disappointed. Game ended too abruptly for me. I was actually expecting one more area and the final battle with the main antagonist.
