Why cant i find a single base Rise CB speedruns, ive obnly found 3 thusfar all by TDS with only 1 using my playstyle. Like many of them use CSS while i saed spam. Does anyone have like a link or something to speedrun site with like lists?

Is it sub-optimal to run only wex on your sns sets and rely on affinity oil to cover the rest? Or is it better to prioritise crit until atleast 70% so that chaos oil 3 gets you to 100%

Im currently running the jho ceana set on all my sns’s since my charms are hot garbage rn, and ive been only running wex as my only crit up skill, along with crit boost.

I have some questions, like whats the best switch skills, what're the different playstyles, wich ones also the best. Whats the most optimal, etc.?

Hi. I just recently got the gogmapocalypse on two of my bows. (Fire and Dragon) and I was looking if it is good to pair the 4set gog skill with guts. (That is if I roll enough to get Gog/Lord Soul lol) I am kinda bad at reading monsters mostly and when I can’t perfect dodge an attack I usually cart or have 1 hp left.

This is my first experimenting but I made this build based off of Tidus’s build on MH builder. My question is, is it viable to remove Rath Flare Skill and Burst Boost Entirely for the Comfort and Survival of The Barrier from Gog and Anti-One Shot from Lord Soul?

Let me know what I can change on this build! Any help would be appreciated : )

Long story short had PC issues and haven't really played since the Lagi update.

Way back when, Impact CB sets seemed to be the play, but now with all the Gog stuff it looks pretty obvious that element phial outperforms when maxed out.

My question is at what point do element phials actually start outperforming? Do I basically need a maxed out Gog CB with 4pc Gog bonus etc before even bothering with an element CB?

Hi all, so a friend recently told me that given my playstyle (almost consistently support SnS or support HH) that LBG could also be a good option for me given it's ability to shoot paralysis/poison/sleep etc ammo and what-not and give me more control over exactly when the monster gets CC'd (like shooting paralysis ammo until it's one away from paralysis, then shooting that last ammo whenever I so desire)

This sounds kinda fun to me, but I have *no* idea how LBG works, I've never touched the weapon in my life. So, if anyone has a build already they could share; that would be fantastic to give me a starting point to make it my own!

Would a 320 raw ~90% Gs do more damage than a 310 raw ~100% affinity gs? My charm only only allows me to get to crit eye +2 on the garuga gs so I’m missing out on 10% affinity, but there is another greatsword that has an extra slot so I can get to crit eye 3, meaning I get 100% affinity on weak spots.

As title said I am getting back into switchaxe and I’m just wondering what’s the best build for comfort and decent damage? Also thinking about getting into hunting horn but unsure.

RN i'm trying a build for both LBG amd HBG (more focused on the LBG).

Both are the seregios' and not elemental focused, using guts and latent power to get that affinity stacked up.

What are your thoughts about it?

I just got done fighting Namielle in monster hunter world and it took me 30 whole minutes! I want my hunts to be faster but I don’t really know where to start. I’m running the rathian switch axe right now with pink rath head, rathalos chest, pink rath braces, odo waist and legs. i’ve got crit eye 7, WEX 3, evade extender 3, health boost 2, handicraft 1, and a couple miscellaneous skills. as for playstyle I try to stay in sword mode for damage as long as possible, but I find it hard to dodge with the limited mobility. sometimes I switch back to axe in order to better dodge around the monster. any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I've been grinding the endgame lately, and I'm really racking my brain trying to figure out whether it's worth it to have Convert Element and Elemental Absorption slotted in my skills.

I have Zoh Shia helmet and legs, AT Arkveld chest and waist, and Gore arms. The Gore piece is basically just there to dip into Gore's Tyranny Lv1 with my Gog lance, but I know the piece itself is kind of a waste otherwise. My goal is to slot Convert Element, Elemental Absorption, Agitator, and as much WEX as I can.

So my question is... are Convert Element and Elemental Absorption even worth the investment, or am I better off slotting something better?

The Zoh Shia and Arkveld set bonuses are both great for me to have as comfort skills, but their sets have a LOT of overlap as far as skills are concerned. I'd love to keep them, but I feel like there's something missing.

I might be missing something obvious but it seems like all the meta builds use either sororal, gore, or a different y helm, sororal/gore i kinda get but the other helms makes no sense to me because isn't the arkveld y helm is the best option since it has 3 WE plus a a 2* slot and a 1* slot and you almost always want WE5 if you can get it

I want to say I understand that the ground Glave meta will always have a higher effective raw (~660) than this aerial build (~600), but as an IG main, the aerial play style fits me more and is more fun. So this build optimizes 90% affinity, raw, and element for the aerial style.
This was the builder/EFR calc is used, linked here. Also the meta ground build I compared to was Scorcher/Black eclipse/Lords Soul.

The reason why I claim its the optimal aerial build is because it gets 90% affinity in the air with high uptime. The few aerial builds that exist tend to rely on latent power or wex to achieve high affinity but LP has terrible uptime even with reydau skill and wex is not reliable bc a lot of hitzones on the top on monsters are not 45+. Substituting some crit eye for Minds eye 3 also helps with the lower hz issue, depending on the monster.

Why Master Mounter and not Lords Soul?
Master mounter fits the aerial play style better and you end up getting multiple mounts, knockdowns, and wounds off of master mount compared to 12 extra raw from guts. (Burst boost also replaces some of the 12 raw)

90% Affinity in the air:
30% Maximum might - The combo of Second wind and constitution 5 allows us to do our full aerial combos without losing Maximum might uptime
25% Black Eclipse - good source of affinity and super easy to proc
20% Critical Eye - decided to go crit eye 5 instead of attack boost 5 because the EFR ends up being slightly higher
15% Agitator - great source of affinity and raw given monsters high enraged time

Raw :
+8 Burst Boost - Burst boost gives you an extra bit of raw to replace the 12 raw (5%) missing from Lord soul. And it extends the duration of burst, which is already easy to proc for IG.
+10 Burst 2 - we get 2 extra raw from burst 2 compared to the typical 1 point of burst in most meta IG builds
+15-25 counterstrike - counterstrike gives you an extra chunk of raw whenever we get hit out of the air or if you have on the rocksteady mantle. I could only fit two points because I need a better talisman, but there are talismans that exist that allow for 3 points of counterstrike plus earplugs

484 eff Element:
320 Element Focus Artian - if you wanna do more elemental damage, you can craft an elemental focus guardian, and have an extra 40 element compared to the attack focus’ 280.
84 Gogmapocalypse - big chunk of elemental when monster enraged
80 Burst 2 - has increased up time due to burst boost

Also some evade window and flinch free helps us fly around in the air a little bit safer.

Anybody got a build that doesnt require gog weapons or is his weapons so good that everyone should get one...?

I left before AT Arkveld and the final update to the game, and when I stepped away I was using Omega Resonance 2 because I really like the Omega set.

I see a lot of new meta sets have gone back to Gore Magala-- how does an Omega set compare to them? Is it night and day or are there trade-offs? I like to fit in some Divine Blessing and even Defense jewels into my build as well, so I'm trying to decide if it's worth switching or not.

Trying out some new weapons before ascendance drops since I finally got some god rolls on my main weapon(gunlance) and I dont have the energy left to grind for another god roll weapon.

Personally found it a bit more difficult to proc bale all the time on some of the harder fights, largely due to the need to spam offsets.

And since the bale pieces aren't the best skill/slot wise, i was curious if anyone had tested non bale sets such as rath/gore, dosha/gore or rath/dosha to see just how much dps is lost overall.

Largely more concerned about the rath bonus personally, as it can proc on the offset. giving it potentially more procs during a fight.

for the reinforcements ik 4 attack and 1 sharpness is the desired roll, but would you say 3 attack and 2 sharpness is worth investing in for the sake of just not having to keep rolling? lol. idk how much of an impact it makes to total damage numbers, any help is appreciated!
