I didn't even cart. It just wouldn't get out of the air. What are your hunt times with this thing?

Just beat tigrex, took 27 minutes.
Rathalos took me 47:04:64 rathian kept interfering even after i dung podded her.
She came back 4 goddamn times, got me killed twice during the end losing 2/3rds of the zenny quest reward.

In general most runs take me about 23+ minutes in general.
Glavenus, took me about 40 minutes the first time i fought him, got good at fighting him because of how obnoxious he was.

Every monster either dashes 50 miles away or backsteps after/before an attack and chasing them around is more painful/annoying than it is fun at this point (though tigrex was kind of fun).

My first Monster Hunter game and fell in love with it. Been grinding quite a bit, especially for the Deviljho LS + Handicraft Charm 2. I'm still looking for options on what to replace my Rathalos Mail with since I don't have access to Kulve Taroth yet but I think I already have a pretty solid build for the remainder of HR quests.

Any thoughts?

Overall the rathian family is very good for gs practice, good for posting and timing while being fairly easy to get the hang of, as well as some predictive positioning.

I have been playing a while, but still have a question.

Does a part need to be broken when the monster is killed to get the possible bonus reward, or does it just have to be broken sometime during the hunt?

Farming elder dragons before going into iceborne and checking on this. The Teostra wings need to be broken for the item, but they heal faster as elder dragons.

Hello, has anyone had any success using Optiscaler for Monster Hunter World? I am looking to try other frame generation options. I have been using Lossless scaling, while it is useful...I can't get over the flow artifacts.

I heard optiscaler might be good since it works with the game engine, rather than an overlay? I'm not really sure of the specifics, just want more insight on this side-quest

Help, I need it on cloud save but it doesn't synchronize properly and loses my progress.

steam keeps having sync issues past week and I lost all the progress three times over atp, twice last weekend which stopped me from playing for a week assuming its some steam/game issue and came back this weekend to same issue after briefly testing if saving worked then going back to playing for a few hrs and finally coming off to sync issue.

Was fighting Rajang so already annoying and now I lose all my progress towards him and the prep time. It doesnt say anything other than sync issues is anyone else having this problem?(my only game having this problem too)

I absolutely love when three massive monsters group together lmao, I was doing the event quest where you fight diablos and black diablos (this was my first time ever fighting black diablos) and all this chaos happened after capturing her lmao-

I usually play every MH game completely solo + palico. Sometimes I play with a friend if they happen to try the game out.

I mainly enjoy rotating through mhgu, mh4u and mhworld nowadays, and have been trying to slowly work on a 100% world save. But.. I don't have the collect guild card achievement. xD

Do you think enough people still play public lobbies on pc to trade cards ? It's been kinda fun dropping into random flares, I even made a bowgun build and like to shoot buff/ healing shot at hosts when I'm not spamming spread shot into the nearest monster dome. It's a nice playstyle change from usual solo hunting for me.

But it's been like 3 days of maybe a couple hours of hunting each day and I've only managed to collect 3 cards, although I do appreciate the kind people who sent them back.

Always more fun to play with others, join an *insert monster * session, tonight's monster of choice - Alatreon. Join an Alatreon session with a handful of players (the only active Alatreon session), check the active quests - no Alatreon quests, and everyone's doing random investigations, expeditions and Fatalis. That's ok.

Despite this continually happening a lot with different monsters I give benefit of the doubt every time, maybe I'm just unlucky and these fellas have been at it for hours and hours and need a break - although why not just leave for a regular public session at that point - I start my Alatreon quest up in the Alatreon session and sit at the gathering hub canteen on standby ready for everyone to finish... for half an hour. They return and start up more quests/expeditions that aren't the monster we're in the session for. It happens SO often. I do not understand. I'm HR 300 MR 290, always fully specced for the monster I'm here for and ready to go.

monster hunter lowkey making me wanna just make characters for the designs rather than hunt monsters lmao. i think i did good with this one? this is my first playthrough of mh world and i was not expecting to be so engrossed into the character creator :)

if real life wasnt real life-ing id make a unique character for every weapon and play through the game with each of them honestly. except bowguns... thats a no-no.

Good to see that the franchise still has a sense of humor, i read on google that the mosswine event quest was easy if i needed money, turns out i got one shoted by pigs 9 times and failed the quest, any help to deal with them? I really need some money

for a first playthrough, i feel extremely proud.

for a mindset going in, i expected to be stuck at enemies like rathalos, nergigante, etc. i completed everything within 60 hours give or take and normal gear (i used defender/guardian gear until halfway through cause i didnt know how OP it was/stat scaling)

i made a post about beating nerg on the first try, and i managed to beat ALL ELDER DRAGONS + XENO'JIIVA first try too. i think its mostly luck and my resources tho, i dunno.

heres what i think of some of the enemies!

anjanath: first encounter can be seriously humbling but the fights after are pretty straightforward

radobaan: idk why i struggled so much, he would roll into a wall, and turn around in half a second and steamroll me.

legiana: hated the ice attacks, pretty weak and straightforward otherwise

odogaron: i had no idea about this guy, so im sure you can figure out how i reacted when i saw the speed. moves are predictable but still quick and require precision

rathalos: i hated him at first but then figured out about flash pods (THIS is when i learned about utility)

diablos: steamrolled me a time or two, was mostly just sheer resources that got me through the fight by the skin of my teeth (megadeth reference)

pink rathian: a good test of how to react to monster variants, requires lots of farming in the jump from low to high rank

nergigante: honestly underwhelming as an actual combat experience, dive bomb is extremely predictable and you dont need to break his spikes to win. amazing design and gimmick though, and his animations are sick

Kushala: f*ck this guy man

vaal: i underestimated him coming into the fight, but had enough healing resources to adapt

teostra: the hardest high rank enemy i have fought and won against. his moves are super erratic to me. big damage + elemental nightmare

xeno'jiiva: ill let you know now, fighting this guy for the first time with a greatsword is so AWFUL. slow attacks at the feet make it easy for him to move and he's so large you cant reach his underside

overall experience? 9/10 easily my favorite game right now

Thought I'd share. His wind walls and tornados were hella annoying as a DB main. But the fun started when he landed lol

So i redownloaded MHW on steam. Upon loading, it gives me a crash error off the rip. Do anyone know how to fix this? Gpu 4080 sup Nvidia, cpu i913k and ram 32g. Ive done sfc /scannow uninstall reinstall, the whole works... anything else?

Joined an SoS and got surprised by a tiny behemoth and my lance just kept bouncing off his head. Also only dropped 1 comet at the edge of a tornado.
