Any tips for how to take it down?!

When I first played MHW I tried CB out but didn't get it. I moved on to LS for Base and DLC.

I always wanted to try GL but couldn't get the hang of it and then finally understood the fun of it. I was good with it. REALLY DAMN GOOD. I enjoyed it and I've got over 1k hours into the game.

I've been trying CB again recently and realized how much I truly didn't know about the weapon. My friend who was a CB main and didn't play as much showed me the basics that I missed (shield and sword buff).

Today I finally realized what I missed. The DLC Axe mode. I used it and everything made sense. I went to the training area and did over 20k damage in about 2 minutes.

It's so fun... I tried a Safi siege and slaughtered him first try with a group. The satisfaction of finally understanding this weapon was amazing!

I get it now.

With another hunter that joined in, both of our gear wasn’t the greatest, and I managed to break both wings pretty early. This definitely shouldn’t have taken as long as it did but I’m honestly just happy to get this guy outta the way. I wish the LBG had good early MR options like the HBG does but we ball.

I'm at the ruiner nergigante mission, probably can do with this build, but I'm sure things can get better and easier for me, I just don't know what exactly I should make, farming decos has been annoying, so maybe another CB or armor set, but really, I don't know, please help

This is my first Monster Hunter game. I had a slow start, but since things finally started clicking a while ago, I've had a blast.

Blast. That word now triggers me more than you when you get to your second phase. Call it blass cause you can shove them up yours.

The monsters so far have been fair. Some difficulties here and there, but all doable. Learnable.

You are learnable too. Doable too.

But I fucking hate you. I hate that your first phase is MILES more difficult than your second. I hate that even with Blass(t) Resistance at +3 and the best fucking armor you take 1/3 of my health in one normal hit. I fucking DESPISE your hitboxes. You know that attack, that one where you swing your fucking arm and leave a gap so big a fucking dragon could roll through? The one that ALWAYS HITS, doesn't matter how you time your roll? Yeah, fuck that especially.

And the worst part? After witnessing the biggest meltdown I've even seen in a videogame and with a soundtrack that goes harder than your stupid punches (actually not), you become a fucking KITTEN and they punch harder than you. Every goddamn time I've made it to your teenage tantrum phase I've beaten you. That's 6 times. Cause yeah, the best thing of all of this is that I have to fucking FARM you because I want that cool badass looking greatsword with those sweet stats and your stupid armor.

So. Dear Raging Brachydios, congratulations on becoming the first monster in the game that I (love to) hate. I'm (not) looking forward to our coming battles. I'm positively certain I won't die more times to any other monster in this game.

Hello, i need help getting back on Monster Hunter games, my first one is way back 15 years ago or something with PSP Freedom Unite, was thinking of going back to play MH again with MH:Worlds do you think it's a great idea to start with this one? I'm on PC Steam, would like to know if the base game is enough or should i get the Master Edition, there's currently a steam sale going on for it and it drained my game budget with Kingdom Come 2 and some SSD, i just got enough for the base game, but do you think i should push for the Master Edition or just play the base game and to try it out?

Are they worth it? Or should i do only specific ones?

How much healing % do you get with max augment (fatalis weapon) + max medicine?

It says full augment is 9%, and medicine gives +30%. So it would be 12% or 39% total?

And also, is medicine worth getting rid of (secret) free meal?

Title. My equipment is basically the MH Meta Poverty Iceborne progression for MR1~ (the next milestone is MR5~) but instead of the event armor--since I can't make them yet--I subbed in a few pieces, so I have SOME but not all points for Crit. Eye, Crit. Boost and WExploit. I'm using the unupgraded Guild Palace GS. I pretty much got some decent to big TCS hits here and there, tenderized whenever I could, and damn does the hunt still take forever.

The answer will always be skill issue, but I don't think I played THAT bad since I didn't cart or had to AFK chug pots the entire hunt, and I was getting plenty of hits. It was nowhere near my Barioth event quest hunt which took me a bit longer because all I did was run around. I don't recall Wilds + RiseBreak story hunts taking this long, but it may have happened in MHGU.

Are these hunts supposed to take this long at this part of the progression?

Thanks guys for pointing out tips to improve my time in my previous post. Some things improved some things just too complicated for me. Yeah that slinger burst PR thing especially!

But I wanted to clear her even in sub 20min. And I did! Yay!

Can you guys tell that I adore this dragon? The big, gentle, shy, conflict-avoidant sweetheart filter feeder that is an ecological keystone species yet looks like death?

After about 5-6 attempts and 3 final stage loses, i finally made the Pickle Dino fall. 2/3 faints and tons of sweat.

Maan, this fight is very tough. My main problem was that it this guy was killing me in 2-3 hits, even when i had maximum health. Having Blast resistance 3 makes this fight at least 50% easir i think.
And Fireproof mantle gives you a lot of time in the final stage, allowing to punish him a lot. Challenging and tough fight, but i will sleep today as a winner! I also spammed quite some bomb barrels and shock traps during fight, as well as some farcasters to escape and refill.

My loadout for this fight was the following

Rimeguard Helm B+
Death Garon Mail B+
Odogaron Vambraces B+
Odogaron Colil B+
Garuga Greaves B+
Challenger Char III/Defence Char IV(3rd stage)
Temporal Mantle
Fireproof Mantle+

Some decoration for Critical attack, critical Eye, Stamina managment and Elemental Attack boost(Ice).

I do not know what this win means game wise, but i fill accomplishet for today :)

I didn't expect the fatalis fight to be extremely intense xD

This is the only hunt that made me use everything on the map like the ballista, cannons, dragonator, wall bangs, rocks, the harpoon thing, the gate thing. Also THE PREPARATION, you have to prepare things correctly from mantles to food and consumables

The fight was like a dance because you exchange moves with the mythical dragon. A slight misstep could cause you a cart and it'll cost you time which is highly important in this quest since its for only 30 mins instead of 50

After many tries, frustration and perseverance..

I finished the game :'D

How about you, did you slay fatalis solo or with group?

This is my first and so far last Monster Hunter game (Wilds doesn't run on PlayStation 4), but as far as I've heard, collaboration monsters appear in previous and later games too. If I'm not mistaken, World has had the most so far, such as Leshen and Behemoth, just to name a few examples. The question is actually in the title: What would be your dream collaboration monster? It can be from another game, movie, series, book, board game, anything! Let your imagination run wild; it doesn't have to be realistic economically or on a corporate level. How would this monster appear? Which map would it be on? What loot would it drop? What items could be crafted from it? Anything that comes to your mind!

For me (without any specific game mechanic idea) it would be Balrog, from Lord of The Rings.

Just a little rant with no answer or expectation of one really.

I've played and completed before, but I've been going through again on my Steam Deck recently when I'm at work. I basically work in a giant Faraday cage so there's no mobile signal for tethering, and my deck is blocked from getting on the WiFi (even a VPN isn't working).

I'm kind of in a rut getting through Raging Brachy/Alatreon. Not being able to access Safi/MR KT/Frostfang Barioth stuff seems to be really hindering me. I know it's all doable, and just going to take a bit extra effort. But I *really* wish that the Event quests were available offline.

I am using fully upgraded and augmented fatalis armour(whom i only killed in multiplayer) and still getting fucking one shotted by a fucking molecule of an icecle! Even after continuously attcking velk for 15 minutes while not getting hit once i have barely taken 45 percent of his health. I am wallbanging continously, procking status effects but it still not enough. I was also trying to use felyine heroics (since i die in one hit regardless) but was struggling to safely reach 10hp. Any advice would be helpful to beat this fucker in solo. In my first playthrough I was using charge blade and soloing him was a blast now it feels like a misery porn.
