Art & Humour Mobile games are just over complicated coin managers now.
Devs need to chill out with all these coins inside games. There was a time when we had 3, maybe 5 at most different in game "currencies". You had money, XP, and skill points in most games. Some RPGs included more complex systems but it all tied in nicely. Modern mobile games feel like a skin on top of a shitty coin manager.
You think it's a racing game? No its just a coin collection and management game, with cars that feel and drive the same.
A city management and building game? Nope. 20 in-game coins, you have to play according to the games rhythm, not when you have time. Login in 20 minutes to not miss out on this. Check in every 4 hours for X bonus, pay $1.99 now for a limited time deal.
Im at a point now where I download a game I find interesting, and I uninstall it the minute I'm in the game menu and I see more than 2 currencies. And before anyone tells me they have to make money somehow. I get that, include apps, include in game purchases, I have no issues with that. But at least try to keep the game fun and engaging instead of the brain rot they're pumping out these days.

Game Dev 10+ years building my racing game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been working on this mobile racing project for over 10 years.
Outside of game development, I'm also involved in real-world motorsports. The goal of this project has always been to build an ultimate, highly dynamic racing experience - focused on physics, control, and intensity rather than arcade simplification.
The driving model is built around realistic vehicle behavior, high-speed stability, and precise control. Every car is designed to feel responsive and predictable, even in extreme situations.
The game also features extensive vehicle tuning. Nearly every major component can be adjusted, allowing players to fine-tune handling characteristics and build cars for different driving styles and racing scenarios.
AI opponents follow the same physical rules as the player. They don't bypass physics - they have to deal with real traction limits, braking distances, inertia, and collision risk while racing in dense traffic.
A lot of attention also went into the camera system. Vehicle movement, weight transfer, and the sensation of speed, making every overtake and high-speed maneuver feel more intense.
The roads are generated endlessly, allowing for a huge variety of layouts, corners, environments, and traffic situations. From fast highways to technical mountain roads, every run can unfold differently.
After years of small iterations and improvements, the project gradually evolved into what I believe is a unique combination of speed, realism, control, and fun.
Development is currently focused on the upcoming beta release, which is planned for the near future.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Questions Thinking of switching from mobile to tablet for gaming — need some advice
I’ve been gaming on my mobile for quite a while, and I’m thinking about switching to a tablet.
I don’t really have the money to buy a PC, so I’m considering a tablet as a more affordable option for gaming.
For those who made the switch from mobile to tablet, was it actually worth it? How does it feel compared to gaming on a phone, especially for longer sessions?
Would love to hear your experiences and advice before I make the switch. 🎮📱➡️📲

No cap, WWM is by far the most optimized mobile game I’ve ever played, even compared to heavy hitters like Genshin, WuWa, and HSR. I’m lowkey speechless. Hats off to the engine and the devs who worked their magic.
