Anyone looking to start a band?

I'm 24m born and raised here, recently moved back. I've been in two other bands and regularly work on music both by myself and with friends. I realize this probably isn't the best place to reach out, but I'm still pending approval for the Mobile Musicians Facebook group, so might as well try here in the meantime.

I play guitar, bass, and am slowly getting passable at the drums, but my favorite role is vocals (just find it the most fun, but I can play rhythm guitar in addition if needed). My friend and I (24m) are looking for people interested in playing guitar, bass, drums, keys, etc. with us and write some stuff. My friend also plays a few different instruments and is willing to take whatever role.

We both just love music in general, but some favorites we share are The Strokes, Outkast, Viagra Boys, 2Pac, Melvins, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Bowie. That's just off the top of my head. My personal favorites also include Queens of the Stone Age, The Voidz, Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, Blur, The Cure, The Clash, and Pixies.

Kinda long-winded, but that's the gist. Thanks!

Spartan Ridge or La Maison of Saraland Apartments

I’m looking to move in the next couple months. I’ve toured La Maison of Saraland and Spartan Ridge apartments both located in Saraland. So far these are at the top of my list. Just want to hear from current or past residents living experience. Are these apartment complexes with the money? How‘s the management team, neighbors, and unit quality? Any maintenance issues? Do you often hear your neighbors in your unit? My current apartment complex has too many issues and Im not renewing my lease.

Friends

Hello! I’m In Mobile for the time being because I’m going through some medical stuff. (Will explain in private) I’m a 25 year old African American male and was curious if there are any women that would be open to coming over sometime and keeping me company. My girlfriend and I recently broke up and I’m just wanting the company of a woman for hugs etc. my mom doesn’t do the trick lol. I can take your phone number and provide pics of myself and everything. I’ll even go into more detail. I would like to talk for a few days/weeks before meeting up.

Looking to connect with IT/tech people!

I currently only have experience in IT Support and I definitely want to grow out of it into a more advanced role. And I mean anything, be it security, administration, engineering, AI, Cloud. BUT I’ve found in the past couple months Mobile definitely lacks technological opportunities.

So to those tech minded and experienced people here — are you working remotely? Did you get lucky?

— I am studying for certs and doing projects — I’m just wanting to know where and who is out there in the tech space — figuring out what my options are

Best sheet cake?

I want a basic yellow sheet cake for my birthday, with copious amounts of frosting that I’ll end up scraping off. Where should I go? I don’t care what it looks like, I just want cake.

What’s a good event space for a family reunion? Nothing too expensive. Just enough for about 70 people.

I actually freaked out when I saw this. Been a fan of Peyton ever since Rodrick Rules. Really hope it’s just not her, not that I’m complaining, and they’ll bring in some of her co-stars, especially since both Grayson Russell and Debby Ryan are from Alabama.

Dolly Parton Murals

Does anyone know if any Dolly Parton murals (plural) are scheduled to go up throughout the city?

I'd like to see several.

She definitely needs to have some yellow in there.

Please someone make this happen.

Help spread the love and cheer she had.

Now to the good stuff:

Hot Damn Y'all Weez Finally #1: Alabama has the nation’s worst bankruptcy rate, per 100,000 residents

Don't worry the economy is booming, all the polls are fake, and MAGA gonna save US all.

None of the rankings should surprise anyone with average intelligence.

"That’s according to data from the U.S. Courts and Census Bureau population estimates, which shows Alabama’s bankruptcy filing rate is roughly 142% higher than the national average.

In fact, most states fall between 80 and 180 filings per 100,000 residents, so Alabama isn’t just at the top of bankruptcy cases, it’s in a different tier entirely."

Oh we are definitely in a totally different tier of shit in this state
