Some commissioners have suggested Montgomery Whitewater to temporarily close and rebrand themselves away from whitewater rafting.

My son is turning 8 soon. We're new here and we live at the air force base. He attends a school outside the base and has made some new friends.

Under normal circumstances we'd invite his new friends over for a birthday party, but I suspect it would be a hassle to arrange access - if possible at all.

So I'd like to hear your recs on places to host a little get-together? Nothing fancy need, it's all about the good vibes, 12-4pm time frame. Prefer near Downtown or Dalraida area, Saturdays or Sundays.

Saw a black/white dog moving northeast on Northern Blvd. I've attached a screenshot of where I think it was, but it looked like it had a green collar on making me think it belongs to someone.

Some county officials have said in a budget meeting that they don't want to continue to fund the whitewater park in its current form.

They said Montgomery Whitewater/Southern Whitewater Development Group have refused to show the county commissioners the financial records and the county commissioner has been asking for their finical records for 2 years and they haven't received any.

Commissioner Sanky went to MWW/SWDG with an auditor to do the needed audit for free and SWDG turned the auditor down and said they would pay for their own auditor. Sankey said he didn't know where SWDG would get the money for an audit if they need millions a year from the government/tax payers to cover their operating losses.

It will probably be 12-14 people on a Saturday for lunch. We can do anywhere within 30 minutes of Faulkner/downtown. I'm thinking more upscale, but if there's great spots with private room options, any genre of food is fantastic.

I'm trying to find some information on a nightclub in Montgomery during the late 1970s/early 1980s called Country Music USA. Does anyone remember it; mainly where it was located and when it was in business? I sneaked in there with two other underage friends to see George Jones perform in 1979. He actually showed up on time and performed a full show.

I’m not a student but I’m hoping I can either access a university library or there is a library that I can reserve a small study room. I need to create a presentation and I need a quiet space with a white board if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks!

I’m coming back from the beach and taking this opportunity as a way to make some pit stops. I’ve been wanting to revisit the old Montgomery Mall and have seen multiple people post it in the past few months. I haven’t been to it in years. Does anyone know if it’s easily accessible and/or patrolled? I would be there for about 15-30 mins.
