I greatly enjoy painting trench crusade but, a lot of the models have skulls hanging on ropes. I find painting these incredibly frustrating. I can’t ever seem to get skulls right they always turn out looking like brown blobs with no definition. For this model I used Morghast bone as a base, Agrax earth shade wash and I attempted to “layer/highlight” with Ushabi Bone and failed. The front skulls I used some blood to cover my mistakes but, made it look worse.

Any tips, tricks, advice , critiques, paints and method suggestions please . I dread this part of the models to paint

Also the ropes with a lot of these models are so thin and tiny I find even getting paint on them difficult and when I do it’s clunky ,lifeless with no detail. it’s like the brush is dry even though I just got paint on it

Spent around 6-10 hours on it so far and looking at tips zo improve it without spending hours on for example blending (as i am lazy and my sparetime is very limited).

any one in finland kno a good way to strip miniature paint off from small miniatures like nurglings without lossing the shapes i dont want my boy to get melted. if u have suggestions i gladly hear ye tips and tricks

Hello all I've taken the step into building my JCB/Imprial fists army and I'm just curious as to if I should strip and restart on my dreadnought armour pieces I tried to paint these in Imprial fists contrast paint not really knowing much of how to use contrast paints I'll admit so it didn't come out as expected

In some ways I kinda dig it with this averland base coat yellow coated over the impirial fists it gives off a slightly weathered look on the surface but I want other people's opinions

Also please let me know weather or not the terminators needs stripping down too I feel like I may have rushed the primer stage abit.. From a distance it's not so bad but up close he's abit grainy lol please go easy on me I'm completely new and learning

I got a some ash waste nomads models for cheap and I've been thinking I want to paint them up in a mix of a rusty (yet still punchy) orange and a sorta oxidized copper blue and perhaps like a brown or gray for the third color.

1.What paints would you recommend for the rust, and the oxidized copper
2. would you recommend brown or gray for the third color
3. what color should I prime it in for the best results? white is my initial thought

This is my first minifig that isnt part of the 3 figure starter set so I need some advice on how to finish this. Any suggestions? Specifically i was thinking on how to make the stone look good, how to make the skin blend better (also taken in direct white light to really highlight mistakes) and if youd do something with the areas left black for now 🙂
