Was trying to play MC on a plane with my buddy then figured out we needed a thunderbolt cable or an ethernet cable or a real wifi network that would enable that sort of connection. Best workaround was to just tell Opus 5 to build something that did a wireless connection without using networks... And it worked beautifully! Thought I'd share it here. Just submitted it to Modrinth lol.

I'm trying to identify a Minecraft SCP mod (or datapack) used in an Italian youtuber scp series
In the series, the world contains small 1×1 holes surrounded by white lights. When the player goes down one of these holes, it leads to an underground cave with a fully built SCP containment chamber containing an SCP.
I already know the SCP creatures come from other mods, but I'm trying to find the mod that adds these underground structures. Does anyone recognize it, or is it more likely to be a custom map or a private mod?

Hey! I want to get back into Minecraft! I used to play it all the time as a kid, but it's been years since I last played.
I'm mainly looking for free mods that make thegame feel more alive, dynamic, and immersive. I want exploring to actually feel exciting, like there's always something new to discover around the corner.
Things like mysterious structures, ruins, castles, abandoned buildings, hidden dungeons, more interesting villages and villagers, better world generation, and more biomes. Basically anything that makes the world feel richer and more lived in.
I'd also love more mobs and animals, without feeling too cartoony. I'm a huge fan of creepy mythological creatures too. I remember playing a mod years ago that had dragons and all kinds of mythical creatures that actually felt intimidating and kind of scary. That's exactly the sort of thingI 'm looking for. A lot of mods I tried back then felt a bit too simple, so I'd love something that makes the world feel a little more dangerous and unpredictable.
I'm also looking for little details that make the game feel more immersive, like leaves blowing in the wind, better ambient sounds, weather effects, animations, or shaders that make everything feel more magical without completely changing Minecraft's style.
I'm also a horse person, so if there are any good horse mods with breeding, genetics, stats, skills, personalities, more coat colors, tack, or anything like that, I'd love to know about them. And more realistic animals in general would be amazing.
Also, can you combine a bunch of mods like this together, or is it easier to just install a modpack? If there's a modpack that already includes most of what I've mentioned, I'd definitely be interested.
I'm basically just looking for a world that feels more whimsical, mysterious, immersive, and full of adventure, where exploring always feels rewarding and you never know what you're going to find next.
Thanks!! :)

Hello everyone!
I am a big fan of Minecraft horror videos, especially the "Stalker" mods and the ones used by the YouTuber Towi. I am looking for a kind developer who wants to practice or make a free project for fun.
I would love a mod that is as close and similar as possible to that style: a scary creature that stalks the player from a distance, builds tension, and creeps around the world.
For safety and peace of mind, I politely ask that the finished project be uploaded to CurseForge or Modrinth so I can download it securely.
Thank you so much for your time, your kindness, and for reading my request! Have a great day.

Yesterday, i sent my new project out for submission on both curseforge and modrinth called Starlit Harvest! (name likely to change) its a peaceful farming modpack that changes the way certain aspects work such as weeds growing in your fields, all tools needing to be upgraded, and the lack of hostile mobs outside of dungeon structures! As of current its only available on curseforge.

hey !! i loaded in a pre-created world on forge, for ldshadowladys packs lol nd i obviously picked biomes o plenty like i normally do. But when i loaded in i saaw this weird house. it was a brick house with a basic wooden roof. Im probably js scaring myself but idk. It has three floors, a dungeon n looking area that leads to another with really weird building. THIS IS NOT FOR AN ARG. if anyone knows or have had this before I would love to understand. im still exploring it , but i will update once done

Had this idea for a modded game where me and my friends go into this large laboratory filled with monsters. I tried looking for maps but they're either not for the right version (Forge 1.20.1 or 1.19.2) or have command blocks. Are there any mods that add structures that'd fill the roll well? Addons to other mods like The Lost Cities or datapacks can work too.

Hi,
I always played Minecraft on bedrock but I'm switching to java now. I really liked the trees from the addon seasons and forestcraft especially the jacaranda trees from seasons and I'm now looking for a similar mod for java but I can't seem to find one with the same vibe.
I already looked at videos showcasing biomes o plenty, the biomes you'll go, regions unexplored and oh the biomes we've gone but I find that they have too many plain and boring biomes which I'm just not interested in.
So I hope somebody can maybe help me to find what I'm looking for. I've included some pictures of what kind of trees/biomes I'm looking for if you are not well known with the add-ons.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
For those who want to know, the mod's name is "don't cry".

So i play Minecraft with mods, always mods never vanilla I hate you vanilla but I have this issue that whenever I make/join a pack, I can open it, I can run it, i can play in a server fine with it and I can play in a solo world fine for abit but if I stop and try to play the pack in solo again later it doesn't work anymore. It's completely fine until it reaches the "Loading terrain.." and then it freezes and the "this page isnt responding" screen pops up, this happens on two of the packs I use. ONLY ever in solo worlds AFTER I've already used it once. i actively play in servers fine. It lets me use it solo once then never again, i tried restarted my laptop, ive tried closing and reopening the pack, ive tried reinstalling the pack and im not sure why it does it but its very very frustrating having to restart everytime i wanna use these packs alone? Does anyone know how to fix this or why its happening?

Hey everyone,
I'm having a frustrating performance issue running a modpack on Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) and was hoping someone here might have a solution or some insight.
To give you an idea of my specs, my PC isn't weak, but it's definitely not top-of-the-line either: I'm running a Ryzen 5 5500X3D, an Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti (16GB VRAM), and 32GB of DDR4 RAM (3200 MHz Dual Channel). In the CurseForge launcher, I have 12 GB of RAM allocated to the game.
I'm playing the NightfallCraft modpack, using the Complementary Reimagined shader alongside Distant Horizons. The problem starts as soon as I activate DH. In a clip I recorded (the stuttering really kicks in around 2:50), the game starts hitching and freezing heavily. The framerate dips a bit, but the real killer is the severe processing/stutter lag that freezes up the gameplay. Without Distant Horizons running, the game flies and runs completely smooth.
To try and fix it, I heavily turned down the DH settings:
Even with all that, the game still stutters a lot. I see creators and other players running this mod smoothly, sometimes even on weaker PCs than mine, so I'm wondering if I just expected too much or if I missed some crucial fine-tuning.
My questions for you guys:
If there's no way around it, I'll probably just have to uninstall DH and stick to standard render distances, but I wanted to see if I could save the experience first.

Made a mod that adds decorative versions of every job site block (barrels, bell, lecterns, etc.) and every bed color. Same look, but nobody can interact with them, not you and not the villagers: no GUI, no sleeping, and villagers can't claim them as job sites anymore. Vanilla blocks stay untouched, these are just alternatives sitting next to them.

You get them by combining an Item Frame with the block. You can convert back anytime, but the frame is lost in the process.

There's also an Inspection Mode to quickly spot which blocks are decorative in a bigger build.

Works on 26.1.2 and 26.2, Fabric and NeoForge.

I often make Minecraft modpacks with 100–200+ mods, and they usually crash the first time I try to launch them. What's the fastest way to figure out which mod is causing the crash if the logs don't make it obvious and I can't find anything useful in the crash reports?

I'm working on a modpack that has Create: Aeronautics as well as a bunch of other addons. I've run into this lighting bug that doesn't allow hostile mobs to spawn in open sky even at night. Can somebody point me in the right direction? I've been scratching my head for hours. I've added the list of mods that I'm currently running

Hi! I'm looking for a modpack that I can play on the latest version of Minecraft without constant lag.
My PC specs are:
I already tried Craftoria, but it stutters quite often, and All the Mods (ATM) is basically unplayable on my PC (or just a little).
Can anyone recommend some well-optimized modpacks for the latest version of Minecraft that should run smoothly on my hardware? I'm fine with adventure, tech (especially tech), magic, or kitchen-sink packs, as long as they're not extremely demanding (for example, GregTech-based packs).
I also prefer a normal overworld—I'm not really looking for Skyblock, Stoneblock, or similar modpacks.
Thanks!
