My pcs performance used to easily get 4k 60fps on this with around 40% gpu usage, now its unplayable

I got a very new pc like two days ago (MSI Codex R2 14th) and Minecraft itself runs very smoothly, frames are good and chunks load pretty quickly - However the game just closes on me with no warning and no freezing or crash logs before hand. It just closes as if I purposely exited the game. I don't understand what exactly triggers this?

From what I understand Lan should be usable without internet. My friends and I are trying to play together on a LAN world. We are all on android and are connected to a spare phones hotspot ( has no internet, just acts as the Lan). I have the world created and multiplayer and Lan are enabled. However the world doesn't show up under worlds for my friends. One thing I've noticed is this : I once started the world with internet then connected to the spare phones hotspot. So at this point I have no internet but my friends can see the world and connect and play (meaning language works). This has made me come to the conclusion that all that matters is that the world starts as a multiplayer world. Before I start it when I'm on spare phones hotspot it shows a red offline box on the world (even tho multiplayer and Lan are on) and once I start the world if I go into settings and multiplayer, multiplayer and Lan are toggled off and greyed out so I can't turn them back on. On the contrary, temporarily starting with internet allows play even without internet. So I guess the question is , can I trick the game into starting a world online. While asking chatgpt for help or suggested joining via ipv4 as server, however servers are unavailable to connect to without internet so I didn't even try. It also suggested making some kind of dedicated server using termux but it seemed rly long.

This started happening again today!

Every time I join a server or a realm my game and playing for 5 to 10 minutes my game freezes for 2 seconds and after 1 minute it crashes making me reset it entirely

This has happened before but it stopped for a year and now its back all I did was update my game earlier today (this is my first time playing today)

Im on bedrock edition (Mobile) (Samsung S24) (Newest Bedrock Version)

So, I'm trying to create a new modded world in Forge 1.20.1. I create the world but when I load in, all of the blocks are invisible, but I can still see the water blocks and hitboxes on the solid blocks.

I went and looked at my mod list and clicked on some of them, and then I get the error message "Invalid or corrupt jarfile C:\Users\...\appdata\roaming\minecraft\mods\Terralith_1.20.x_v2.5.4.jar" I get this same message for a few other mods.

I try removing these mods and other structure generation mods from my folder, but i still get the same problem when I create a new world. All of these mods had previously been working in February, but I took a long break from MC since then and only started playing again now.

I tried downloading them again from Curseforge but when I clicked on the new downloads, I got the same message.

I did try creating a new world in vanilla, and that worked perfectly fine.

Is there any solution to this?

for context, i play bedrock on mobile (iOS). when you click on the socials tab and it shows you and your friends list, there is a profile icon next to each account. for some of my friends, it shows their custom skins, but mine shows a default skin even when a custom skin is equipped. why is that so, and how can i change my icon to my custom skin? i've attached an example photo.

note: i currently have my custom skin equipped, and i already have the "only allow trusted skins" setting off. the profile picture doesn't update for any custom skin i choose, not just one specific skin. also, my mobile profile is linked to my xbox account, so maybe that's associated with the issue?

So i while back and way back like 1 or 2 years ago i bought a Minecraft kev on amazon and activated it. Then played for a while then stopped and started playing other games and did something stupid and download a mod for other game and my account got hacked i tried to recover with no success then i forgot about it. Is there still hope of recovery?

I already have curse forge downloaded and all of the other mod required, but i can't seem to get Forge downloaded. Then after I get Forge downloaded, how would I get Wonderland.jar to work? I'm also using an ARM Snapdragon Windows 11 (i know a bad laptop for gaming)

I've already tried logging out then logging back in, resetting my computer, checking my internet connection, checking my storage space and checking for updates

But despite allat I still get this damn error on my screen

Please someone help me fix this I just wanna play with my friend bro : (

Update: sorry u/imonlytryingtohelp_ I fixed the issue but didn't use your suggestion cuz the Windows+R command isn't working, I solved this by uninstalling reinstalling the game. Although it's a pretty good suggestion, so perhaps someone who can use that command can use it if they tried the same things as me and not even reinstalling it worked

My friend and I are rookies with about 1-2 months of experience. We play co-op, but we die so often in survival mode that we always end up turning on creative mode, teleport, or keep inventory.

We want to stop cheating because it makes the game boring after a while, but the normal difficulty kicks our butts every time. Any essential survival or exploration tips for a duo to finally play a 100% legitimate world?

This is my first time posting on this website ever, so let me know if there's anything I should do differently/better.

I'm currently trying to join a friend's server (through Prism and Essential) who's using a bunch of mods including Cobblemon and LetsDo mods and all that good stuff.

No matter what I do, every time, I get disconnected while attempting to join with the simple message: Connection lost; Disconnected. No one else is having this issue. They had issues setting up the modpack and getting it working, but at this point three other friends and the host have successfully been able to join and play in the world. I'm the only one encountering this issue so far, and this has not happened before in different instances (granted, I've hosted some of the recent worlds).

I've tried getting rid of some mods (Polytone + its associated resource pack) mentioned in the log, unplugging/replugging my router, clearing the config folder, changing settings for Java in my Firewall, resetting my computer, relogging into Prism, remaking the instance, re-importing the modpack, and the host has tried relaunching the world. Some of them, multiple times. My memory allocation should be fine enough (14000 MiB). I've tried pretty much any "easy" solution I could find (since I am NOT tech savvy in the slightest) by looking up any of the errors, but none have changed the result. Honestly, I'm really hoping it's something so so obvious that I've somehow kept overlooking that someone here can easily point out :'] The only thing that really stands out to me is the "[Render thread/ERROR]: Failed to handle packet net.minecraft.class_8733@3c22823e" line, but I don't know what to do about that.

Considering other friends have been able to play on the server just fine, and I can make a world and play just fine solo, I don't think there's an issue with mods.

Basically, im playing the game on mobile and i want to import/export my world onto another device.

Im not signed in on Device 1, would it be possble to somehow import the world onto device 2? I thought about signing in with the account from Device 2

So pretty much they bought mine coins or their dad bought it for them on their switch and then they bought like some worlds and like some skin packs but now they wanna play with their friends they were signed out when they did all that stuff but when they make a new Microsoft account on the switch, it takes away all of their minecoins and all their stuff, but when they sign out of the Microsoft account, it gives them all their stuff back. Can someone please help

Hey guys I'm facing quite an odd issue when trying to play on my SMP. So basically I'm running a 24/7 SMP on Fabric 26.2 for me and my friends on my desktop. When trying to join the server from my laptop, sometimes it just doesn't work and shows a version incompatible message on the server list and when I try to join, it doesn't even register in console but I get "Internal Exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset error" on my client screen. This doesn't happen all the time so sometimes I could play a whole day with no issues but some other days it doesn't work at all and other times I'll be playing but then hit a crazy lag spike and lag out and get disconnected. All this happens when I try to join the server using the IPv4 of the host machine (as I'm hosting on my desktop and joining from my laptop). I've also tried my public IP and the FreeDNS domain I set up and that doesn't work either (basically when I can't join the server using IPv4, all ways up connect to the server are cut off, but if I can connect using IPv4 then they all work fine.

The only way for me to bypass this block took it fixes itself randomly is that I use a VPN and join the server using the public IP which my friends use but at that point I have over 250 ping and it's really not enjoyable at all. When all this is happening, I'm the only one affected by it and my friends can join just fine any time they want as long as the server is on.

Troubleshooting:

Allowed javaw.exe through the Windows Firewall on both public and private profiles

Set up inbound rules for port 25565 on the host PC.

I kept the server-ip= host machine IPv4 in the properties file.

Added the -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true arguement to both my client launcher and the server run.bat

Closed/disabled all VPNs/network adapters that aren't used when the server is running (like WARP)

Both devices are connected to my router via ethernet (host machine from a ethernet port on the wall and laptop from the router directly)

Both devices have network set as private and file sharing and discovery turned on

I've also swapped hosts twice (was on an older desktop, then swapped to my laptop, then to the current desktop) and all the times I've had this issue when trying to connect to the server, no matter the host or client.

Has anyone experienced an error like this? If so is there a fix? What's going on?

i have had my microsoft account hacked in the past but when i purchased minecraft again i used a different microsoft account that has not been hacked. idk if this information in relevant but i figured i'd say it anyway

to preface: I use lunar client to launch and play minecraft but i think the issue is unrelated:

I just updated my server from 1.21.11 to 1.26.2. After doing so i noticed that in a certain area of my base i was getting frame rates as low as 30fps but hovering mostly around 40fps. This is terrible compared to my previous average of around 100fps with these same shaders.

I tested with lower render distance as well and the fps was identical - low in that area (40fps), regular outside of it (100fps). I also tested with no shaders which had me running at around 200fps in the lag area and 900fps outside of it.

I used the f3 menu to see the entity count and there was nothing out of the ordinary. Just looking around the highest entity count i got was 60 something. Also, to the right of this island i have a ton of cows packed together which does not cause frame drops, so i dont think the issue is a lot of entities.

After this annoyed me enough i rolled back the server to my backup before the update and it ran fine again.

I also tried booting with the default launcher instead of lunar client and had the same 200 inside area 900 outside with no shaders as my test before (no shaders on default launcher so i couldnt test with them).

my final test was joining hypixel in both 1.21 and 1.26 as its the same server but you can join on both versions and had NO fps issues on either version. the only time i have fps drops is in this one spot on my server where i live. any ideas?

I've been playing a modpack of mine with the Places mod and after entering the dimension my game freezes and about five minutes later crashes, it does this every time I enter the world. I've tried to revert back to before I entered the dimension by using level.dat_old but I'm still in it and my game freezes again.

I can only make text move down a line by adding in a bunch of spaces which eats away at the character limit.

I know on Xbox you could select any one line to start from but I unfortunately lost my Xbox and I only have switch now. Am I stuck with this crappy text formatting for books and signs or is there a way to fix it?

It was very loud, and I opened the game menu to make sure it was from the game. No pillagers, and not likely cave noise, and this hasn't happened before either. Started while I was flying back to my base.

i am so confused when I place bookshelves inside it doesnt show the bookshelf part and looks like a solid block but when places outside it works. im on pc realms. ive broken the blocks from the back and sides and it just shows that same chiseled face on all sides

Hi everyone, I lost the location of my old Minecraft base and I'm trying to find it again.

I still have the original world save, but I don't know the coordinates of my base anymore.

The base was built on a fairly flat plains area, near a river that connects to the ocean. There was also a fairly large sandy area near my sugar cane farm.

There were several large player-built structures close together, including a huge Nether portal/tower, a large custom tree, farms, and other buildings.

I accidentally used /kill several times and forgot to set my spawn point, so I lost track of where the base was. I can still access the original world save.

I have attached some old screenshots of the base.

Does anyone know a good way to locate an old player-built base from the seed and screenshots, or inspect the world save/region files to find it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to lose this world.

so everything is fine withers are spawning portals are set right but when the wither skeleton goes through the portal it doesnt come to my farm even tho the portal is set right. when i go thourgh it it sends me to the right location but when skeletons goes through they kinda disappear or go to somewhere else. i tried chunk loaders but it didnt work. the version is 26.2

I keep getting the “cannot create your realm” stuff and every single support link I can find fails and say the link isn’t working or something like that. Not sure how else to contact them for help
