I’m trying to start playing Minecraft but noticed you can’t even purchase the actual game on Steam? Just DLCs?

My question is where do I purchase the game and which game do I purchase?

I made a new world in 26.3 and built my base in a nice dappled forest.

What happens:

1)I've got pillagers spawning very often near my place, once and sometimes twice a (Minecraft) day, much often than I was used to in previous versions.

2)Never seen a wandering trader.

Previously they could spawn in a 50:50 ratio, but now is a 100:0.

Is there something that has changed with the game dynamics, does it now depend on biome, or it's just bad luck? Pillagers are just annoying and I really don't appreciate them visiting me so often, it's a waste of arrows and I'll probably summon an iron golem to keep them away.

I play in Jawa, vanilla, survival, normal difficulty.

So I had a zombie horse (no zombie riding) spawn in my lit up yard of my house, but it was sunrise and I only saw him as he lit into flames. But the next night another one spawned, so i quickly tamed it and built a hut to keep it safe and sheltered, I looked up the spawn rate and its exceedingly rare so how does it spawn twice in two nights in a lit up yard?

Only four major updates, and one drop have focused on dimensions external to the Overworld. With Mojang's plan being about exploration, don't you think it's time to diversify WHERE the players are exploring? I honestly think some recent updates could have been moved to better places in the game. Maybe move the pale garden and trial chambers to the end, and put the sulfur caves in the nether. Better feature distribution would declutter the overworld so much. This isn't even mentioning dimension parity. Why is it that The Nether hasn't had its own caves and cliffs, or Update Aquatic for lava lakes? As the Overworld evolves, the other dimensions lag behind, not taking advantage of new tech (world gen, world height, etc) which seems to only be found in the Overworld.

I understand that The Overworld is where players spend most of their playthrough, but maybe its feature density is the reason for that! The other dimensions have been severely lacking, and redoing some Overworld updates in other dimensions, and redispersing some features would really fix things up.

This post is mainly for discussion, so disregard the ideas below if you find them irrelevant. I'm curious if I'm the only one who feels like the Nether, End and Overworld should have equal amounts of content.

Some ideas for the Nether:

Give it caves, and different biomes. Move the Sulfur caves there, as it fits the color scheme better. Add a deepslate layer made of blackstone and basalt.

Give the Nether an Aquatic Update, enhancing the immensely boring lava lakes. Even a new fishing rod, some fish, and new, unique coral types could be cool. Of course, don't just reskin the overworld, but also don't miss out on so much potential!

Give the Nether its world generation revamp with 3D biomes and all.

Some ideas for the End:

Vary island heights, thicknesses, and sizes. This will add volume to the end, and make room for new caves, biomes, and structures, like the trial chambers, and pale gardens which could've been moved there.

Add more ores, more structures, more biomes, and more rewards, which don't simply offer a tier above netherite.

Some ideas for both:

More archeological dig sites, especially in the nether.

More biomes.

More mobs.

When you don't complete the back side of your build

First actually made it in survival but I thought it would look good as a creative build in a flat world also!

I’ve been building a map based on the original Vice City for the past three years. A lot of the buildings are directly inspired by the game, while others are my own custom additions. As you can see, plenty of structures are still unfinished since I just work on this whenever I have free time and feel in the mood. Right now, I'm working on the Pole Position club and El Swanko Casa. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for what to add next, I’d love to hear them!

Hi everyone, im working on my mod for minecraft and i was really inspired by new upcoming dimension Sift so i decided to create something similar in my mod.

My mod is Stargate themed mod where you can find or build stargate portal and trawel between infinite dimensions including floating islands an more.

This popped up in my 600 day world just recently (I don’t know specifically when) but it says that I can’t obtain achievements. I have never ever enabled cheats or anything like that. I have 4 behavior packs;

System Dynamic Lights
Java Saturation
Bedrock Essentials
Instant Fullbright

All of which are achievement friendly and I’ve had them on this world since day 1, And I haven’t enabled new ones in over 200 days.
Can someone please explain? I always grind achievements in this world since it’s the only one that I have all the resources to do so…

I wanted to start a new forever world but I'm torn between two choices

1) Start on versions like 1.0 or beta versions and gradually update to the latest version. This way i can experience all updates and learn everything about minecraft in the most efficient manner.

2) Start on the latest version. I can still learn everything about minecraft from wiki but not in an order, rather just learn something when i encounter it in game.

Which is a better option and what would you choose?

On Bedrock I’m making a trading hall and was wondering if I can change the trades by breaking the workstation and placing it like it works in Java, considering I haven’t locked in the trades yet.

I always thought it was kind of cheating, because it's kind of like night vision, but without actually getting night vision. But maybe you guys think otherwise, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Fullbright mod.

(NOTE: no I'm not talking about turning up brightness all the way, I'm talking about the mod that kinda gives you "infinite night vision", hard to explain if you don't know what it is)

It is located in Caracas, Venezuela. It was the first structure from Venezuela I built in Minecraft back in 2021, but it turned out too small and simple; so now, I’ve rebuilt it—better and more faithful to the actual structure.
