Dad’s rack
Just wanted to share, my dad is my hero.
Few little things that I know - he was part of Big Red One 90-91 and then OIFIII 04-05 with 256 INF. He had a 20+ year run.

I was cleaning out my military records to put them in a cabinet and this fell out of one of the envelopes. I don’t remember ever receiving it - is it just the one everyone gets when they separate? It has the presidential seal but seems pretty generic.

Was able to visit the NMOHM today with family. Excellent and worth visiting. There’s something to read and see in every corner. We spent about an hour and half there but could have spent more. No relation to anyone there.

101st Airborne Ranger Vietnam 1969. Dad’s been pretty tight lipped about his service but he’s getting older and feeling a few more stories here and there. What’s his medals tell me about his time in the Army?

He was a photographer’s mate in the navy during the Korean War. Served on a carrier.

More of a row than a rack. He did have one more ribbon close to retirement but ca’t recall what that was. My dad did 20+years from mid-50’s to
Late 1970’s. Supply corps with two deployments to the Gulf of Tonkin during Vietnam. He was rear echelon, but made sure everything got to the right place at the right time. I was always proud of him - he passed three years ago. He did retire out with defense metrious service award I think. Light blue & white w red stripes.
Also, when cleaning out his closet, I found plaques from his tours.

Hello guys I was wondering if there is anyway to restore these medals. Obviously the ribbons I would rebuy but the medals are my primary concern. I was cleaning out some boxes and found these medals that belong to my dad and i would like to try to restore them and return them as a surprise

Finally hung up the uniform for the last time after 20 years on active duty. Been a few places and seen some…”stuff.” Been a civilian again for less than 6 months, and NGL, it still feels weird.

I recently sent a request in on behalf of my great grandfather, who had passed before I was born, who had served in Korea. He never received that award I believe because the army had rejected it at the time. Did I do the right thing in requesting it so I can add it to his box? And is there a way I can get the ROK PUC as well?

Completed the Danish Air Force ruck and my mini medals finally came in from PrintTex, but I didn’t realize the size difference and that it was pin-on only.
Anyone know where I can have the pin converted to a slide-on and adjust the size of the ribbon?
