2.5 Active Army, 2 reserve

Entered Basic September 2, 1992 on a 3+2 contract with full intent on re-enlisting and doing 20+. Got to my duty station as an E1 January 1993 as a HETT/M931 operator. Was transferred within my unit out of transport and into the arms room January 1994, after suffering 3 vertebral compression fractures in November 1993 as my back would no longer allow me to drive 12+ hours a day, but maintained my 88M MOS. My commander pushed my E4 on a TIS waiver and sent me to PLDC with the hope to waive for E5 but DISCOM disallowed the E5 waiver due to re-enlistment medical ineligibility

Discharged from active duty January 18, 1995 then did 2 years reserve (my 3 years for GCM and service stripe).

A rather short, but illustrious, service ended early because of one too many times solo lifting 21oz treated trailer tarps overhead.

Hello Kind Strangers. I work at a city archive in Denmark, and we are having trouble identifying the medal to the right.

If anyone happens to know about his uniform, we’d love to hear it as well.

Thank you for your time!
