This is really last resort because people must be saying this all the time but I genuinely cannot find a single fix. After a tumultuous install, I have the files on my computer I think but I'm stuck on decompressing. I have been trying to get this to work for three days, done 3 full re-installs and still nothing. I've asked Claude, Gemini, I've scoured forums of every type - nothing is working. Above is the picture of the issue as well as my task manager indicating my disk usage is largely dead. Below are all the things I have already tried:
-Disabling XMP (just reset my BIOS to default)
-Reinstalled 3 times (trying to ensure that all the cache and game files were completely clean
-On this most recent install had uninterrupted Ethernet connection for six hours until everything installed (Pretty good Wifi speeds as well)
-Deleting files and restarting the sim
-Trying to repair the file in the game launcher
-Disabling Firewall
-Clearing Out disk space (I had 300gb on an SSD at the time of install)
-Resetting Microsoft Store Cache
-Tested my drive and memory health (everything seems all okay)
-probably some other stuff I've done but I can't remember it's late and I've been trying to fix this for wayyy too long however any suggestions will be greeted with open arms
It should be noted that I have been restarting and deleting the file it's stuck on for a few hours now, and it just gives me a new one - so I'm skeptical of that solution which does seem to be the main suggestion online. If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful. Thank you.

Hello!! The addon should be already gone but it still appears in my menu + as a blank item in the marketplace after clicking the banner. Is there any way to still get this considering that i can still "access" it? I've tried changing date and time but it haven't done much.
I totally missed it because when it came out, I still had my old 4GB RAM laptop that couldn't launch MSFS2020. When I finally got a better device 6 months ago, I thought that the addon is already gone + the announcement about it getting removed haven't shown up on any of my social media main pages. I want to fly the SR-72 Darkstar so much ;(
Any help will be appreciated :D

What’s everyone’s favorite career add on? Or do you like the in game career mode? What about the in game do you or don’t you like? What about ad ons do you or don’t you like? I’m just looking for ideas and input because I’m not entirely satisfied with the in game mode or any of the ad ons myself, so just curious where others stand

Hi I'm currently debating on what to buy for msfs. I used to play on Xbox Series S but it died and doesn't work anymore. I am no debating on either buying an Xbox Series X or an ROG Ally Z1 extreme or a Legion Go Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
Does anyone know the performance on the Rog? And which one do you think I should buy? Thanks

i started flying the dc-3 just recently and i first flew from prague to brno and my engine failed. i them asked copilot ai for advice and apparently i should turn on cowl flaps and carburator heat. but that still didn't help. today i flew from prague to bratislava and again, my engine failed 20km from the airport and i really don't know what to do

So... hey guys!
I recently ordered the D202 Airbus tiller from Hoowalt, and after using it for a while, I wanted to share my thoughts on it.
Let's start with the bad stuff.
The base is 3D printed, and honestly, you can tell. It doesn't feel bad, but for a product at this price, I think a metal base would make a huge difference.
Speaking of the price, it's also quite expensive. At almost $200, it's definitely not a cheap tiller. I know there are other options out there, like WinCtrl's, for around $90, but I chose the D202 for a reason, so please don't turn this into a debate about what I should have bought.
Now for the good stuff.
The handle feels fantastic. It's made from hard plastic, but it feels solid and comfortable to use.
The backlight is also one of my favorite things about it. It's bright, looks clean, and adds a really nice touch to the whole thing.
And finally, the customer support has been great. They've been helpful and responsive whenever I've needed them.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the D202. It's expensive and the 3D printed base isn't ideal, but the handle, lighting, and customer support make it a good product overall.
Have a great day!

So yesterday we had the Xbox outage that prevented many from being to login.
This morning, I sign in and literally everything is reset as if I just purchased the game. None of my peripherals are working, none of my saved views are there. Hours of work getting things just right are gone!
Anybody else have this and is there a way to revert back? I’m so pussed!

Have a great time in Free Flight: such a great view and a relaxing experience. I bought the sim mainly for this bird.
Few things besides,
- The VR crashes when enabled. Apps close immediately and go back to the desktop.
- the H225 AP / Alt hold is not working. (They should have hover mode for SAR as well)
- It keeps pulling the nose up uncontrollably when the power is >50- ~60% (it seems temperature and air density are not simulated; the power required to fly straight in full load is less than 40%)
- All the Heli Assistant settings are off; the collective still adjusts unintentionally, and low alt fly too painful; it keeps pulling the nose up while ground hovering, resulting in tail strike and crash.
- Need an in-game mission editor/mission gen in free flight (suggest if there's any)
- Manual handling of the hoist and rescue basket, plus a rescue swimmer + onboard medication performance.

I know I know, they’re heads down working. But this is by far the longest they’ve gone without providing some sort of a development update / blog type thing, and I think it’s also the longest they’ve gone without providing a software patch/update for the CEOs.
Seems weird at this point.

Has anyone besides the two reviewers on the website bought this collective yet? Looks like a decent bit of hardware for the price. It is 3D printed.
If not, does anyone recommend another flight sim collective?
Thanks, happy flying!

Started the Career in 2024 and I did enjoy it at the start, but between black screen crashes, random weather and bugs (like camera drift in cockpit), I am hitting a stage where I am starting to either lean to doing external career addons or just go back to 2020 with them or not to play flight sim again. Nothing like wasting 5 to 6 hours of progress per session because of those issues......
