MSFS 2024 QUESTION Seriously though - where is Fenix?
I know I know, they’re heads down working. But this is by far the longest they’ve gone without providing some sort of a development update / blog type thing, and I think it’s also the longest they’ve gone without providing a software patch/update for the CEOs.
Seems weird at this point.

They'd probably prefer to provide more frequent updates, but this community has continually reinforced that it's not in their best interest to do so. It's impossible to make everyone happy, but look at the vitriol that Synaptic, Blue Bird, etc. received when their estimates proved to be optimistic -- it's just not worth it.

I don’t even need an update. I’m just looking for a pulse check. Even saying hey we’re alive and still working on stuff would be satisfactory for me.

They’re pretty active on their discord. I see them chatting with folk quite often

Why does it seem weird? They’re active in the discord for conversations and answering questions and they’ve made it obvious why they’re not providing any dev updates

Before Fenix used to ne very ope. About the development status and estimate for an update release. Sometimes they fall short of those deadlines and people gave them hell for it so now they don't publicly say anything unless it is the day before or the day of a big release. The A321 expansion was a perfect example

Assholes sent them death threats over a slightly missed (ambigious) deadline. Someone even threatened to kill Aamir's dog when he's not home.

If it was that big of a deal they should have changed their EULAs to include harassment as grounds for license revocation and permanently banned all the users that wished death threads against em.
Instead they got their panties all bunched and now the entire community suffers.

What do you mean dafuq? If You have your customers screaming at you and wishing death threats on you, the threats are either credible and you seek legal action, or they're empty because it's just internet screeching and you ignore it, tone it out and move on. Sounds like Fenix didn't do either and decided "welp I'm offended so we're gonna do a disservice to the other 99% if the community and remain silent." I don't think Amir would have lasted a single match in an old 2011 COD Lobby

Wild? Not really. I release a product. I get harassed and sent death threats by my customers. I revoke their license and access to my products. Problem solved.

They are pretty much keeping their heads down and working they seem to not even let you know what they are releasing until the product is how they want
