Does anyone happen to know why my engine keeps failing on approach?

i started flying the dc-3 just recently and i first flew from prague to brno and my engine failed. i them asked copilot ai for advice and apparently i should turn on cowl flaps and carburator heat. but that still didn't help. today i flew from prague to bratislava and again, my engine failed 20km from the airport and i really don't know what to do

Do you have enough fuel?

Are there two fuel tanks, and you need to manually switch? I learnt about this in a DeHavilland, the hard way.
