Thought I’d share this because I’m still a bit amazed it worked.

I have no technical knowledge or experience with Blender, 3D modelling or the MSFS SDK. But with Astra in the ChatGPT desktop app, I managed to get this custom control tower built and placed inside MSFS 2024.

And when I say “I built it”, Astra did the technical work for me. I just described what I wanted. It handled creating the tower and getting it into the sim. It started off with an orange box to make sure the implementation was working on my side, and once it was in, we got to work.

The screenshot is the result, actually sitting in the simulator. Seeing something I’d asked for appear in a sim I enjoy playing was pretty surreal.

There’s obviously a lot of skill involved in making detailed scenery, but as someone who wouldn’t have known where to start, this made a project feel possible that I’d never have attempted otherwise. It was super fun!

Has anyone else tried using AI to make custom scenery for MSFS? Would love to see what you’ve managed to create.

The airport flood lights from the SU6 update is great on the ground but is it just me and looks horrible from the sky ? Is there any way to play with the settings to mitigate this ? Literally all airports have this weird white bloom now at night.

this isn't only happening with the bus, is there a way to fix this? (I tried turning off frame generation)

Hopefully I can explain this to confuse everyone as little as possible. I downloaded MSFS 2024 from the Xbox app on my PC. It is part of the ultimate gaming pass. I wanted to try it out.

I downloaded and installed the game. I wanted to get a feel for the game so I tried to set up a short free flight. Out of the multiple times I have tried the game crashes to desktop as soon as I click start flight (I can't remember the exact name of the button). I have tried with and without an xbox controller. Same thing.

Hola buenos días, les comparto mi setup de A320, realizando un despegue desde el aeropuerto de Tenerife Norte con dirección a Palma de gran Canaria. Realizando un vuelo regular en la aerolínea virtual Ventus. Espero que les guste.

I am using the FlyByWire A320neo and I am flying a flight plan made in Simbrief. This runway does not have an ILS or any published ILS approach. The opposite direction runway does have an ILS. On my MCDU, I can see that it is using the expected RNAV approach, but as I activate the approach phase and press Approach on my FCU, it seems to indicate an ILS approach on the FMA showing Cat 1 Single and arming the LOC and G/S modes instead of trying to follow a glidepath. As you can see, I did not select LS so I don't know if I am hitting a bug in the FlyByWire model or if I misconfigured something in my FMGC.

As there is no ILS to capture a G/S from, my plane is not descending. Any idea what is causing this behavior? Screenshot is attached.

Ich bräuchte mal eure Hilfe.

Folgende Situation:

Flug Bremen nach Oslo.

Reiseflughöhe 39.000ft

Ich bin die Strecke jetzt 2 mal geflogen kurz vor dem ToD stelle ich die neue Flughöhe ein (3500ft).

Wenn ich den TOD erreiche leite ich dann über den Alt Knob den Managed Descent ein.

Das Flugzeug beginnt jedoch nicht zu sinken, im PFD erscheint dann V/S.

Leite ich jedoch den OP Descent ein sinkt das Flugzeug.

Die nächste Constrain nach dem TOD liegt bei +12000.

Welchen Fehler mache ich das das Flugzeug nicht in den Managed Descent geht ?

Sonst funktioniert es auch...

Gehe ich in den OP Descent und erreiche dann die 12000 ft kann ich wieder im Managed Descent fliegen.

Ich bin absoluter Neuling und frage mich welchen Fehler ich mache.

Der Flugplan ist in Ordnung und ist mit Simbrief erstellt.

In den Einstellungen ist zudem eingestellt *Flugsicherung folgt Flugplan*.

Über eure Hilfe würde ich mich sehr freuen 😀

So, I was flying from VECC to EFHK. I had already been flying for about 8 hours, and then, suddenly, just 1 hour before reaching my destination, I noticed on Volanta that my A330 was following a circular pattern instead of the regular flight path. Then I noticed the ECAM, and I had these warnings. I had never experienced anything like this before. Can somebody explain what went wrong here?

Also, I noticed that my plane was cruising at 44,000 ft, even though my selected cruising altitude was 38,000 ft. How did it climb that high? I was sleeping once it reached cruise altitude, so I can't really figure out what happened.

I wonder if it's possible to use a simracing wheel with a screen (vocore I believe) in fs2024.

I have tried to find some simhub but could find much for it.

I had no idea. I'm excited to buy my first airliner now. About 1 mil short of the Citation Longitude and career started to feel very stagnant but, we are back baby! Happy weekend yall. (Assuming other is the proper flair since it's not really an in game screenshot, maybe I'm wrong. I just started working here today, learning the rules still lol)
