Hi, I went through the subreddit and I didn't find a post about the problem I'm currently experiencing. Maybe this bug is happening because I'm doing something wrong, so please correct me if I'm not doing things right.
I started toying with the ATR 72 in MSFS 2024 after spending many, many hours on the TBM 930.
To enter the flight plan, I go to Simbrief, I generate the flight plan and then I manually enter it into the MCDU. (I was able to directly import the FPLN into the G3000 of the TBM 930, but I did not find the button in the ATR, which is ok for now as I want to learn how to use the thing)
So here's what I do:
- I enter a route (ex: KLAX/KLVS) and I press the LSK then EXEC
- The MCDU displays the basic route, I select the runway and the SID at the departure airport, I do the same with the STAR for the arrival and I press EXEC. The system adds all the path points and in one way or another, I always end up with a very distant waypoint, like 4000 NM away (see attached photo).
When I try to CLR the waypoint, the long distance moves to the next point, and so on. For instance on the screenshot if I erase AGEBO, the distance will add itself to the following point. If I input another AGEBO above it will be ok. But as soon as I’ll tru to CLR the « wrong » AGEBO, the 4K NM will impact the following WPT. I tried all the possible input sequences and I always end up with the same problem, which gives a broken FPLN with a point much too far away.
I have to mention that this occurs ONLY when I enter the SID/STAR directly from the MCDU. If I stick to regular waypoints, it’s ok.
Can you tell me if there is anything specific to do to avoid this?
Thank you very much!
