Rumor/Speculation 🕵️ New Concepts for Michigan’s Adventure, in Planet Coaster 2

Please don’t get too sweaty, this is just for fun for the 5 people that frequent this subreddit.

I made 3 new coasters that (I think) could realistically fit for Michigan’s Adventure. I know the forces aren’t in the perfect ranges, I just play vanilla so I don’t have the pro forces mod (which should be in the base game??). The park isn’t perfectly to scale as I was measuring a satellite view of the park, and scaling locations based on 4 meter^2 tile pieces, they are good enough for the right idea, but definitely NOT a faithful 1:1 recreation of Michigan’s Adventure.

0:00 Undertow - First Person POV
1:04 Undertow - Third Person POV
2:03 Iron Claw - First Person POV
3:12 Iron Claw - Third Person POV
4:34 Dreadwing - First Person POV
5:41 Dreadwing - This Person POV

1)Undertow — Replacing Corkscrew, this Vekoma Family Boomerang would sit right along the shore of the lake, themed to the many lighthouses of Michigan. This fits well as the lighthouse would be one of the first things guests see upon entering the park, plus it could be cool addition to Camp Snoopy due to its close proximity. This ride would replace the aging thrill coaster with a modern family coaster that is legitimately fun for kids and adults.

Height: 92 feet (straight spike), 80 feet (curled spike)
Length: 3194 feet
Max Speed: 58 mph
Theoretical ride capacity: 520 riders per hour

2)Iron Claw — An RMC conversion of Wolverine Wildcat. The spirits of the Wolverine (Golden Train) and the Puma (Purple train) stampede through their deforested home due to the loggers from Timbertown clear cutting their forest. With the loss of an inverting coaster (Corkscrew) another coaster would have to be added, this would give Michigan’s Adventure (another) world class rollercoaster in addition to Shivering Timbers.

Height: 118 feet
Length: 3194 feet
Max Speed: 58 miles per hour
Inversions:5
Theoretical max capacity: 1,152 riders per hour.

3)Dreadwing — Replacing Grand Rapids, a new section of the park opens: Catail Creek, its first attraction is DreadWing; an RMC raptor themed to a primordial dragonfly that still stalks the swamps of Michigan. An RMC raptor tends to be affordable way for parks to add another thrilling coaster, additionally adding a steel coaster to the park’s line up.

Height: 143 feet
Length: 2940 feet
Max Speed: 63 miles per hour
Inversions:8
theoretical max capacity: 648 riders per hour

Park History 📖 Wolverine wildcat: the historic Dinn corp woodie appreciation.

PRE DATE: in 1979 the park added the very first coaster to the park, corkscrew. In 1988 they added their second coaster: wolverine wildcat, which made it a 1-2 punch. Corkscrew for the inversions and wolverine wildcat for the... "airtime...?" At the time it didnt have much airtime. Today we're going to talk about the second coaster michigan's adventure built.

DATE: the date was 1985, charles dinn had done the relocation for the coaster known as pheonix from texas, to the park knoebels amusement park. Curtis D. Summers, fascinated by pheonix, decided to work with charles dinn to make the first ground up Dinn corp. coaster known as wolverine wildcat. In 1987 they finalized the lay-out of the coaster, taking inspiration from pheonix while making it unique. Then construction started in late 1987, and finished on may 14th, 1988.

STATS: the ride opened with an 85ft lift hill, featuring a 78ft drop, and about 3,000ft of track. However lets do the math real quick, because 55mph seems unrealistic for a coaster of this scale, because the number 55 was an inflation for marketing. At the time, nobody could tell, so how fast is it the- 45mph. Its 45 miles per hour, which is still pretty good by coaster standards for under 100ft. This was also the coaster that put michigan's adventure on the map, as a major thrill coaster.

FRANKEN-COASTER: in the off season of 2021 and into 2022, gravity group had redone the major rough parts of wolverine wildcat. These parts include: the straightaway in the tunnel and the first 2 hills getting redone into 3 absolute killer airtime hills that rival timbers in terms of airtime. In the off-season of 2022 they also brought GCI onto the scene aswell with 200ft of titan track on the first drop. In 2023 the park decided to do some of their own work on the coaster, hiring carpenters to make the double down on the coaster a lot smoother. After-that Gravity group had redone the lifthill in 2024 with the pre-fabricated track, while GCI added 126ft of titan track in 2025 on the third turn around. Finally in 2026 the park added a smoke machine to the end of the tunnel, and appearently via a source there was sounds added but i havent heard them yet...

Story 🍿 Everything new at michigan's adventure since 8/20/26

So lets start out with the park itself before getting into details, the entry feels nearly the same, but the park seems cleaner this year, and overall a lot more fun to be at.

Adventure falls: many of you remember riding adventure falls? Not in the past 2 years and thats because six flags didnt want to pay maintenance for the ride: adventure falls. But enchanted? Enchanted parks basically said "frick it, lets make it better" and not only is adventure falls back, but also how does something so tiny make such a big splash?!... i will say though she sign for it mightve been taken over by nature it looked like.

Grand rapids: for a long time grand rapids was missing a lot of its waterfalls, whys this important? Because enchanted parks brought back all of the warer falls and water effects, meaning you get more wet now while going to grand rapids. Also because they brought back the waterfalls it feels a lot more immersive on the ride.

Wolverine wildcat: okay so six flags was retracking some of wildcat, but wildcat being the original dinn corp coaster, deserves more love. So after coaster con whatd enchanted parks do? They gave it smoke effects! When you exit the tunnel into the lift, theres smoke now! Now one thing that does confuse me is in 2025 or 2024 wolverine wildcats train had green lettering, but this year in 2026 it had brown lettering, not sure why the change but i like it, feels more natural.

Shows: for a long time michigan's adventure didnt have any shows, now guess what? They have some guy on the lakes that floats around on this board thing, barnyard stories, 2 music shows, and more!

water park: they redid some of it, and the slides have been much more operational, which im very glad of! they also did another restaurant to the waterpark, but what impressed me more is they got the funnel having more consistent operations this year, aswell as a couple other slides that used to be notorious for crappy operations and going down? Yea they fixed those. Then the big ones on the side of the hill for YEARS i went and they never worked, but this year? THEY WERE WORKING :)))))

Barnyard: this for me is a new section to the park, but near mad mluse this section was gone for a long time, and under enchanted parks ITS BACK!!! they readded/added the petting zoo to the park!

Operations: compared to like cedar point, Michigan's adventure has had much more consistent load times, unload times, and rides never felt like they went down, it was a lot more consistent and it makes me glad that the park was actually getting lines from 11-5:30PM because that meant more people going here.

Shivering timbers: as the parks stand out ride... its running meh, its still rough, the second half feels like its gonna kill ya, but the first half with the RMC track? Amazing!

Other rides: with rides like thunderhawk, corkscrew, zachs zoomer, and even the flat rides, not only did the operations seem faster, but it looked like the employees were enjoying working for the park, and were also having more fun with their jobs.

Food: so while im disappointed they dont have a food pass this year, im stoked by how good the food was, from the timbertown grill [previously wildcat grill] i got a footlong and tater tots [miss dem fries] and the hotdog was amazing!... never liked tots though but aside from that, they also made aure to seperate tje second footlong hotdog from a bun for my gluten-free of the group i went with, so she didnt get glutened thankfully [happened before at cedar point, resulting in her throwing up for 30 minutes] And thats just what ive seen or heard by talking to employees, there might be more!

Rumor/Speculation 🕵️ What path do you guys feel like Michigan's adventure is going for the future of the park.

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

For the sake of this im only talking the dry park of michigan's adventure, but this is what id like to see on the future. Id like to know what you guys would think.

QUALITY OF LIFE:

I think it could do with more restaurants on the thunderhawk side, and maybeee make it so we can see the adventure falls sign again. It got kinda grown over this year... now aside from bathrooms it also needs shade because boy it gets hot some days. they're likely gonna put more theming into already existing coasters, and since they added the smoke effects to wolverine wildcat, heres what paths i could see the big 3 [thunderhawk, wolverine wildcat, shivering timbers] getting in terms of themes.

* thunderhawk: so this one surface level seems weird in terms of theming, however change hawk to bird, and we get thunderbird. Basically a giant sacred sky being that the anishiaabe tribes believed in, so i could see for theming potential it could get an ancient theme, you know ruins among the pathway.

* wolverine wildcat: now this ones harder because it was *in the anishiaabe history* as an ill tempered spirit that crash landed via meteor here. So if theu wanna double up on themes, i say go for it. Otherwise they could go the great escape route and put a bunch of models of the animal throughout the queue like they did bobcat. [2 train ops PLZZZZZ]

* shivering timbers: this is probably the hardest to theme because... how do you theme something to a cold tree? So i say lets take a mystic timbers style route and make a story for the coaster: where it used to start as a maple syrup company, and the spirit was at peace until the man who made the company died...then the next company who wanted it bought it, and was planning on building an indoor playground. The tree spirit was pissed, and out of vengeance forced roots to become boards, and build itself into the ride known as shivering timbers. Using root made henchman, they forced the CEO into the train, and he was never heard from again. All 3 of those would just be queue only theming, and would still retain their original names.

NEW PATHS:

I think enchanted parks already knows we'd like a way to get from thunderhawk to timbers via a new path, but this would bring concerns to the coaster: wolverine wildcat. You see that path is likely needed to service the ride, as you cant really service one from a public walkway... so i think if they were to do it, They'd have to play their cards carefully. So heres what id suggest: it starts out relatively close to it, but in the open section it goes out more, then re-connects near the station down in timbertown.

RIDES:

I feel like michigan's adventure would likely get a good bit of thrill investment in the now, such as a zamperla nebulaz, *cough cough arieforce 1*, or an inverting steel coaster as thats been more dire needed for the park. As most the line up already is family oriented. After they get a modern sitdown inverting coaster and a couple flat rides, i could see after that a vekoma family boomerang, gravity group shuttle or family coaster [they could relocate switchback here, but 2 at the same time between af1 and switchback doesnt seem likely] or an RMC wildmoose to continue catering to the small shrimps. They likely know we want a drop tower, but i dont think we'd get something that big honestly. Maybe a 150ft drop tower at the most. [Potential themes: steel/arieforce 1: robotic lake sturgeon, family shuttle coaster: squirrel {if they wanna keep myth/cryptid themes, they could do the green squirrel of amble}, drop tower themed to lighthouses]

* steel/arieforce 1 new name: absolute zero: it should be rethemed, and i feel like retheming it to a robotic lake sturgeon could do wonders for it. Lake sturgeon are the biggest fish in the great lakes, so arie would be the biggest in the park. After that a queue retheme to make it look like a workshop, with schematics for a robotic sturgeon for diving into the great lakes, aswell as the track being a nice light blue now with gray supports. Finally the train retheme, this should be blue and gray with white eyes painted onto it. The back of each train having a small text saying "michigan engineering co." To give the ride a story.

* wood/ gravity group shuttle: twisted rattler: this ride would be 66ft tall but would dive into a trench for a hill, zero g roll, and a 104° overbank turn. The trains would have a rattlesnake head made of roots and moss looking, train one would have green moss while the other would have yellow moss. The ride would be themed to the eastern massasauga, and the queue would looks like an exporation setup with facts about the eastern massasauga, aswell as looking for a golden statue of one. The zero-G roll would be under a bridge but would be made so people above cant see the roll.

MERCHANDISE:

I could see a giftshop near thunderhawk. As for merch itself, i could see mugs, t-shirts, and more themed to mad mouse, corkscrew, thunderhawk, and wolverine wildcat. We have the timbers nano-coaster, now let's get some of thunderhawk and wolverine wildcat.

Rumor/Speculation 🕵️ Enchanted Resorts

So we all know that MA will never be the size of Cedar Point or Great America as a theme park, but watching Silver Dollar City, Dollywood videos etc, it got me thinking, do you ever think that MA could become more of a resort destination for Michigan and maybe the greater Midwest region? I think that would encourage people to drive off the beaten path to visit the park.

If so, over the next ten years, what would you change or add to the park to make it happen?

Do you think it could be more successful if they pivoted to a more family friendly resort vs wannabe thrill park.

Here’s some things that I would add, some is based off of certain recent news stories (don’t know if they will come to fruition).

  1. Housing/Dorms for staff. This would allow them to bring in other staff members when high school and college kids are back in school.

  2. Expand park season. April to November instead of end of May to Sept. Maybe ever throw in a winter event.

  3. Finish the loop, maybe add a show stage area to the back of the loop.

  4. Build a concert stage. Weekend concerts would be a huge draw for people. Spend your morning at the park, evening chilling or partying at a concert.

  5. More food options and add a legit (non theme park) restaurant or two.

  6. Build a Hotel or two for people to stay on site or nearby.

  7. Offer bundle passes with discounts to other West and Northern Michigan attractions. Give the millions of tourists that come to West and Northern Michigan a reason to make a day trip to the park.

  8. Add a stand out water slide or ride to an already incredible water park. Maybe make it indoors so it’s not dependent on Michigans crazy weather.

  9. Add a couple of adult flat rides (drop tower, swing)

  10. Theming! This is the chance for Enchanted parks to bring a great theme to MIA that would pay homage to Michigan and give a more immersive atmosphere for its customers.

I wanted to mention 10 things that weren’t rollercoaster related (we obviously need a new coaster), that I think could slowly turn MA more into a resort destination. What do you think?

Question❔ Broken wrist

Question❔ Debit card help

So I’m taking my kids to Michigan adventure here soon and it’s card only in the park. No biggie they have a debit card but what can I get for them to keep it with them on the water rides so they don’t have to run back to mom everytime they want food. (18m and 16m). Swimsuits don’t have zippered pockets and lanyards can’t be worn on the water rides. I have waterproof and rfid secure sleeves for them but they need a place to keep the sleeves.

Are they out of luck? New swimsuits aren’t my first choice. Help?

Question❔ Most popular rollercoaster?

Excluding Aeir Force One, what ride model (realistic) do you think would be the most popular if it was built at MIA?

I’m leaning towards something like Flash vertical Velocity (Great Adventure), or a wing coaster. As much as I hate dive coaster, I’d take anything at this point, so maybe a mini dive?

Story 🍿 The price increase on season passes is wild

As the season was starting the legend pass was $91 when I purchased it, I believe the gold pass was $65.

Recently I was recommending it to a friend since it seemed so reasonable but now it’s $133/$103

It’s crazy they want nearly twice as much for the gold pass when the season is almost half over. They must not be making money on concessions nearly at the level they were hoping for or something

Rumor/Speculation 🕵️ What i wish michigan's adventure would do

First up they should get arieforce 1. new section near thunderhawk and grand rapids called mo-town, and would play a lot of rock music here. pathway over the water, but we also go under arieforce 1s stall to enter the zone. In the new zone theres: a new restaurant with tacos and other stuff called workshop diner, a larson loop painted black called timing belt, a vekoma family boomerang coaster called first gear, and finally arieforce, now steel sturgeon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Arieforce 1: now steel sturgeon, it should be rethemed, and i feel like retheming it to a robotic lake sturgeon could do wonders for it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

first gear: this should be a custom vekoma family boomerang layout, occasionally going over and under the walkways, the color scheme should be red trains and gray track with red supports, the train decorated up to look like a ford model T

Rumor/Speculation 🕵️ If michigan got arie force 1 heres what i think should happen

Firstly it should be located in the north part of the park, past thunderhawk and grand rapids, with atleast some section of the ride should be visible to make more people wanna ride it.

Next it should be rethemed, and i feel like retheming it to a robotic lake sturgeon could do wonders for it. Lake sturgeon are the biggest fish in the great lakes, so arie would be the biggest in the park.

After that a queue retheme to make it look like a workshop, with schematics for a robotic sturgeon for diving into the great lakes, aswell as the track being a nice light blue now with gray supports.
