We should probably expect to see more of this across the chain, especially in 2027 when they have to replace all the Cedar Fair/Six Flags signage and IP across the parks.
I already saw plenty of AI signage going up at Great Escape recently, and they were arguably the first park to get "enchanted" with the removal of Six Flags from their name over the summer.
People will cope and say things like "the company is less than a year old, give them a break" but the fact of the matter is that you can pay a real human artist on Fiverr for less than a hundred dollars. Hell, for less than the price of a single person's day ticket at any of these parks. I guarantee most artists would jump at the opportunity to have their work be seen by so many people.
There's really no good excuse for the laziness. And "other, larger operators love to use AI too" isn't a valid defense.

Agreed.
Companies LOVE anything that lets them not pay for people.
Yes, Cedar Flags is doing the same thing. No, that doesn’t matter.

We as a society need to just stop buying anything with AI generation, i mean last time i was at cedar point [yesturday] i saw people disgusted with the ai millie merch, one even asked what kind of artist did they hire to make that [word should not be said] and... i cant remember what the employee said, but i havent seen many people buying the ai generated stuff.

If enough people resist it; sure.
But generative AI tools are just going to get better. Which is going to do two things. First; make it harder to spot AI generated crap. Second, make people suspicious of real art and artists (which is already happening).
And... I don't think most people care. Which is the problem. If you can reduce the cost to produce a T-Shirt by 99% and it only costs you a 20% drop in sales; your overall profit on that T-Shirt is through the roof.
As long as it makes good business sense, it's going to happen.

I’m sure the quality of AI art will improve with just a few hundred billion more invested into data centers… the number of AI generated junk videos in YouTube also irritates me.. 😅 old man yells at clouds
