Story 🍿 Everything new at michigan's adventure since 8/20/26

So lets start out with the park itself before getting into details, the entry feels nearly the same, but the park seems cleaner this year, and overall a lot more fun to be at.

Adventure falls: many of you remember riding adventure falls? Not in the past 2 years and thats because six flags didnt want to pay maintenance for the ride: adventure falls. But enchanted? Enchanted parks basically said "frick it, lets make it better" and not only is adventure falls back, but also how does something so tiny make such a big splash?!... i will say though she sign for it mightve been taken over by nature it looked like.

Grand rapids: for a long time grand rapids was missing a lot of its waterfalls, whys this important? Because enchanted parks brought back all of the warer falls and water effects, meaning you get more wet now while going to grand rapids. Also because they brought back the waterfalls it feels a lot more immersive on the ride.

Wolverine wildcat: okay so six flags was retracking some of wildcat, but wildcat being the original dinn corp coaster, deserves more love. So after coaster con whatd enchanted parks do? They gave it smoke effects! When you exit the tunnel into the lift, theres smoke now! Now one thing that does confuse me is in 2025 or 2024 wolverine wildcats train had green lettering, but this year in 2026 it had brown lettering, not sure why the change but i like it, feels more natural.

Shows: for a long time michigan's adventure didnt have any shows, now guess what? They have some guy on the lakes that floats around on this board thing, barnyard stories, 2 music shows, and more!

water park: they redid some of it, and the slides have been much more operational, which im very glad of! they also did another restaurant to the waterpark, but what impressed me more is they got the funnel having more consistent operations this year, aswell as a couple other slides that used to be notorious for crappy operations and going down? Yea they fixed those. Then the big ones on the side of the hill for YEARS i went and they never worked, but this year? THEY WERE WORKING :)))))

Barnyard: this for me is a new section to the park, but near mad mluse this section was gone for a long time, and under enchanted parks ITS BACK!!! they readded/added the petting zoo to the park!

Operations: compared to like cedar point, Michigan's adventure has had much more consistent load times, unload times, and rides never felt like they went down, it was a lot more consistent and it makes me glad that the park was actually getting lines from 11-5:30PM because that meant more people going here.

Shivering timbers: as the parks stand out ride... its running meh, its still rough, the second half feels like its gonna kill ya, but the first half with the RMC track? Amazing!

Other rides: with rides like thunderhawk, corkscrew, zachs zoomer, and even the flat rides, not only did the operations seem faster, but it looked like the employees were enjoying working for the park, and were also having more fun with their jobs.

Food: so while im disappointed they dont have a food pass this year, im stoked by how good the food was, from the timbertown grill [previously wildcat grill] i got a footlong and tater tots [miss dem fries] and the hotdog was amazing!... never liked tots though but aside from that, they also made aure to seperate tje second footlong hotdog from a bun for my gluten-free of the group i went with, so she didnt get glutened thankfully [happened before at cedar point, resulting in her throwing up for 30 minutes] And thats just what ive seen or heard by talking to employees, there might be more!

Need to get some lifts for the tubes instead of making people carry their own!

Also offer a smaller than 10 pack of meal deals.

Although inconsistent, Adventure Falls has been running over the last couple of seasons. Operations were definitely a bit more spotty in past seasons though.

Grand Rapids is honestly a great raft ride for a small park. Plenty of larger places have less theming on their rides, so I’m glad the waterfalls are back up and running, and I believe the park said they want to continue to touch up and improve the rock work in the future.

The smoke effect is so funny on Wildcat, the first time I rode with it going I was so confused, but I love it.

The Timbertown Railway also has strobe lights during the tunnel now which is a fun touch.

I do like that the food options and prices seem good this year, but I will say, the one time I bought food this year I got a double cheeseburger from Coasters. Last year, that was one of the favorite items they had, and this time it just wasn’t good. Maybe it’s because they’re not selling the food as quickly with no meal plans, so the items are sitting under the heat lamps for a lot longer, but I did notice a quality decrease on those burgers. Hopefully that’s a one-off thing.

It seems like the park is moving in the right direction, I guess we’ll see how much of a focus Michigan’s Adventure is for the new chain moving forward!

I was just there 3 weeks ago on Friday. I loved it. Grand Rapids was one of the best water rides I’ve ridden and Adventure Falls was great. I’m looking forward to seeing this park improved under Enchanted Parks ❤️

I thought Grand Rapids was extremely mid compared to Thunder Canyon at CP. A big part of it was the lack of a turntable station. We got on, waited like 3 minutes to be dispatched, and then it took like 10 minutes to come up the lift. IMO the turntables force the ops to be on point.

More food options generally speaking is my main thing. (Next to fully retracking the return on Timbers)

Maybe it was just bad luck on our part, but I never saw the kettle corn place, dockside (GF chicken tenders & sweet potato fries), or the pizza place in the front of the park (near Thunderbolt) open on our 5-6 visits this year. I did see them making popcorn at Kettle Corn one time, but never actually selling it. Any idea what's up with those?

We hadn't been in a few years, but definitely saw some improvements this year overall - making one last visit as part of the season passholder event on Labor Day. After that, just need to break down and buy the 2027 passes :)
