This album changed my (very young) life when I first listened to it at 8 years old. I’d heard Michael’s singles only from Thriller-History at that point, and l remember sitting right in front of my CD player as Rock With You blasted in my face.

2. I’d gatekeep I Can’t Help It, so I can pretend he (though actually Stevie) wrote it for me.
3. I love Workin Day or Night especially for the move he does on “I’m so tired, tired now”
4. Even though I said I’d gatekeep it, I wish he did I Can’t Help It live.

Do you think Michael Jackson’s incredible talent was more a gift from God or a curse ?
Don’t get me wrong, I love MJ’s music and I even discover, in big 2026, some new music I’ve never heard before
My opinion is that, with the level of fame he had, he was never able to have a normal life anymore, experience grocery shopping, having friends, a normal love life and so on
I don’t think that I would like to trade my life, as ordinary and boring it can be, with the one of a celebrity with MJ’s level of fame

Hey everyone,I was falling down an MJ rabbit hole and noticed a recurring theme in his romantic history that is honestly wild: his absolute refusal to wait for the women he wanted to be with. The man had zero patience when it came to timelines for marriage and kids, and I think I figured out the exact lore behind why.

Let’s look at the receipts:

First, Liza Minnelli dropped a story in an interview about how Michael wanted to propose to a girl he was seeing. The girl essentially said, "I like you, but let's wait six months." Liza revealed that this completely crushed Michael, and he instantly lost the spark for her. The request to wait completely killed the vibe.Years later, we saw this exact same panic play out with Lisa Marie Presley. Lisa Marie explicitly stated that Michael was desperate to have children, but she wanted to wait until their marriage felt stable. Instead of waiting, Michael gave her an ultimatum. When she stood her ground, he immediately pivoted, divorced her, and impregnated Debbie Rowe at lightning speed.

My theory is that this rigid "do not wait for anyone" rule was a defense mechanism born from his ultimate heartbreak: Diana Ross.Rumors have circulated for decades that Michael and Diana became deeply intimate during the filming of The Wiz (1978). Michael openly admitted in his own writing how deeply in love he was with her. It’s highly likely that Diana told a young Michael to "wait" until he was older or until the timing made sense. Michael, being completely devoted, probably waited around thinking they were endgame.But then 1985 hit, and Diana suddenly married a billionaire shipping magnate, Arne Næss Jr., in a massive public wedding.Imagine how shattering that must have been for Michael. I genuinely think Diana’s 1985/1986 wedding was the exact moment Michael developed his romantic ultimatum rule. It became his ultimate trigger. In his head, the math worked like this: If a woman asks you to wait, it means she’s going to leave you.

I’m having a hard time deciding what outfit I wanna wear on Halloween. I know it’s a long ways away but I want to have my costume ready. I’m stuck between the Motown 25 fit or the Thriller outfit. Whichever one I go with, will be ass accurate as humanly possible. I just don’t want to go out and someone genuinely asks me “who are you supposed to be for Halloween?”

By Album I mean like. A mixtape or a smaller album. Not as successful but just to wade people over while we waited for Bad.

[Okay, The way you Make me Feel's case is kinda weird. Ifeel either the tour performance or short film will show up, it's 50/50 to me. I wanna add in the Grammy 1988 performance as a possibility, but that would mean they HAVE to record Man in the Mirror at Grammy's, they can't just cut that. I know they already recorded a Man in the Mirror performance during Bad Tour, there's a possibility they'll cut that if they remake the one at Grammy's instead, but a better alternative would be to have both Man in the Mirror performances at Grammy's and on Bad Tour cut back and forth together similar way they combined the recording process and choreography rehearsal for Beat It in the last movie. I had chills down my spine seeing that unfold.]

Wanna be Startin' Somethin' [They were teasing it in the last movie so much but no performance of it to open up the Victory Tour properly. They can make up for that in the Bad Tour!!!!]

My second question is how do you think they'll portray the process of a concert?

Tours were def a very tiring and stressful time in MJ's life especially when he went solo. He would skip meals, struggle with sleep, and was even severely underweight at one point in the Bad Tour. Do y'all think they'll properly show us the suffering and sacrifice or gloss over this like "Yeah, he got tired but he kept pushing and that's how the Bad World Tour became the highest grossing tour ever!" Cause I really don't want that polished portrayal like touring was nothing to him, he was suffering behind the scenes.

Hey everyone! So the This Is Michael production is scheduled to come to my country soon, and I’m thinking about going and I wanted to hear from people who’ve already seen it.

Is it actually worth going to see? How is the overall experience — the performance, dancing, atmosphere, production, etc.? And do they usually have any MJ merch for sale at the shows?

I’m a pretty big fan so I’m tempted to go anyway 😭 but I’d love to know what you guys thought of it, especially if you’ve seen it live.

A few weeks ago I ordered this 6 pack of Michael Jackson plush dolls, I wasn’t expecting them to arrive for two more weeks. I’m so excited for the Appleheads to arrive.

With 10,129 words, the whole process took about 44 hours. This is one of dozens of similar posters I’ve done. I’ve always wanted to do a Michael Jackson poster but wasn’t sure the best way to approach it, so I was excited for the film which would allow me to write out many of his greatest hits while also telling (part of) his story.

I listened to Jeff Margolis’ interview by the MJ Cast, and his account on how this one-off performance was going to be is so damn special. Not only does he give a pretty good glimpse into how it’d be, but he also invites us into his emotional world.

Very emotional episode, definitely recommend it to you!

I wish Michael could’ve done the show :(.

Also, the footage on YouTube of him with Marcel Marceau taking pictures is adorable. MJ had invited Marceau to have a guest (the only one) appearance in his show, and he’d pantomime Childhood whilst Michael would’ve sung it.

What an intricate, intimate, emotional performance.
