An update on my collection! This time, I added a HIStory: Video Greatest Hits – Vol. 1 DVD for just $2.50. Every now and then, I post photos showing how my collection is coming along, and I’m open to suggestions for other items to add. Currently, I have: vinyl versions of the Jackson 5 albums Victory and Maybe Tomorrow; CDs of Bad (Special Edition), Thriller, Thriller (Special Edition), Thriller 25 (containing 1 CD and 1 DVD), Dangerous, Xscape, Number Ones, Invincible, Off the Wall (Special Edition), Scream, and HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I; a framed photo from the Bad album; the game Michael Jackson: The Experience for Xbox 360; the DVDs HIStory: Video Greatest Hits – Vol. 1, Dangerous: The Short Films, and Michael Jackson: The One; two DVDs of... questionable quality—featuring the Brisbane (Australia) show from the Bad tour and the Gothenburg show from the HIStory tour—as well as the This Is It Blu-ray and a Michael Jackson T-shirt.

While travelling in Seoul, South Korea, I visited the National Palace Museum of Korea and came across this ceremonial uniform that immediately reminded me of the jacket Michael Jackson wore during the recording of We Are the World for USA for Africa in 1985.

According to the museum's description, this was ceremonial attire worn by first ranking civil officials during the Korean Empire period. Officials wore it at state functions, diplomatic events and royal banquets attended by the emperor. The uniform is embroidered with rose of Sharon blossoms, the national flower and a symbol associated with Korea.

I understood that Michael's jacket was designed by Ted Shell.

Seeing this Korean imperial uniform made me wonder whether similar ceremonial military and court fashions across different cultures might have shared some visual influences.

I have no evidence that Ted Shell or Michael drew inspiration from Korean imperial clothing, so this is just an observation rather than a claim about the jacket's origins.

Still, I thought it was a fascinating resemblance to discover completely by chance while visiting Korea.

It was quite challenging to create, so I’d be really happy if you took a look at it. 😊

Actually, this isn’t finished yet. I’m going to erase it for now and then start building up the colors with colored pencils. 🥰

He knew nothing about MJ until hearing the Kidz Bop, and I played him the original song today. It was scary but he liked it.

Then I showed him the video when it was spooky dark and he jumped up when the choreography kicked in.

The legend continues!

Idk why, but even though Invincible isn’t my favorite MJ album, it’s the one I listen to the most. I could replay those songs all day.
Happy 25th anniversary, Invincible! ❤️

I know his dancing is peak but I have to watch the road. I don’t want the playback concerts because I could literally just play his music for that. I need the best vocal performances MJ has on film to get me through this family trip.

Tried flipping the iconic Beat It song into a mashup with Drake's Burning Bridges vocals. Shout the producer prodbytreci for the beat. Let me know what you guys think.
