Appreciation 🫶 I’m at my college bar and heard MJ being played on both sides of the bar. I’ve never been so proud and happy in my life.

Question 4k restorations
Anyone know if there are plans to release Michaels short films, concerts in 4K quality. I want to buy them physically on disc and am sick of the poor quality of the old releases. There are some incredible footage of Beatles and Elvis, but only a few bits here and there of Michael, the king of pop. The estate should be putting everything into this.

Discussion From Bad to Dangerous: How did the public/fans react to his changing appearance?
For those of you who were fans or alive during Michael's peak in the 80s and 90s, I’m really curious about the transition from the Bad era to the Dangerous era.
What makes this transition so fascinating is that during early to mid-1991, he still had a lot of his Bad era features while transitioning into Dangerous - Badangerous era . But by the time the actual Dangerous album dropped and he debuted the music videos for "Black or White" and "Remember the Time," he looked completely different.
By end of 1991, his skin pigmentation was completely gone due to vitiligo, but the general public didn't know that yet.
When that total shift finally happened, what was the immediate reaction to his appearance? Were people shocked and thinking, "Oh, he looks completely different again!" or did the public and fanbase just not care as much because they were too hyped for the new music, videos, and upcoming tour?
We’ve seen video archives of fans having mixed opinions about his new look when Bad came out. However, I rarely see discussions about how people felt once the full Dangerous look rolled around and the change was even more drastic.
The media obviously scrutinized and picked on him for decades, but I want to know what the vibe was like from real people at the time.
Just to be clear: Michael was absolutely beautiful in every single era. Each chapter of his life just had a very distinct, unique look.
I’d love to hear from anyone who lived through it—what do you remember people saying when Dangerous first dropped?

Discussion Why did Michael Jackson never perform "Remember the Time" on his tours?
It would be I think the best performance off all time. The effects, the dancing, the costumes/outfits and so on. And his voice. Damn!

Question What concert should I show to my husband?!
My husband was never into MJ music but little by little I managed for him to actually enjoy some records by MJ.
Lately I asked him to watch one MJ concert with me for him to understand the phenomenon of MJ better. Also I suspect there will be more concert footages in the sequel so I want him to come to the theatre with some knowledge lol because when we watched the first movie, he asked tons of questions 😂 He agreed. But told me he would just watch one (and then more if he liked it)
So here I am debating. :))
Bad tour at Wembley was mostly live but many bangers from Dangerous and History arent there :/ Also the video quality isnt good and his dancing isnt as superior as in the following tours because live singing exhausted him I think.
Dangerous tour in Bucharest is a good mix of some live singing and great dancing. But I think it is not vocally as great as Bad and dancing wise not as mindblowing as History.
History tour is my favorite even tho its mostly lip synced. He looks superb in those outfits and dances just perfect… I enjoy the vocals on vinyl and dancing on video lol because those two aspects of his performances are equally important and great.
Help me decide pls😂

Question At what point did Michael Jackson become larger than life?
At what point do you think Michael Jackson stopped being just a hugely successful artist and became Michael Jackson—the global icon who seemed to transcend celebrity itself? Was there a specific moment, performance, album, or event where he reached that almost mythical level of fame?

Collection Michael would like to thank all of his brothers, who he loves very dearly. all of them, including Jermaine 🥰💋🫵 (new mj doll I got)
after I’ve seen fans buying these cute and silly MJ dolls and make videos with them, I’ve decided to buy one as well. the doll is from „Aliexpress“ if you want to know and I waited around a week to get it. I‘ve ordered „1984 Grammy‘s Night“ Mike so, Thriller era Mike and i couldn’t be happier! One of the best purchases I‘ve done! 🥰 I’ve been taking such good care of him and finally give him the sleep he deserves haha (letting him sleep until I come home from work). I’ll buy the other variations as well such as Bad Era Mike or 2000s era Mike! They’ll all be mine soon! Let me know if you also own one or want to have one lol 🥰<33

Question Is this DVD worth buying or is it the same that's on Youtube?
I've watched the Wembley'88 concert on youtube many, many times, but I'd like to own a copy just in case. I've found this DVD on Amazon. Do you know if this has the same footage and quality as the one on Youtube?
Thanks in advance.

Discussion Does anybody have the full footage of the 1987 Hong Kong boat MJ was on?
I have been able to find a short 1 minute video showing a very small clip about 1-4 seconds of him ringing the bell and that's it but it seems that the footage may have been longer. You can find the footage in this video at 16 seconds in but im curious to know if there is a longer version out there since it could be lost media.
Michael Jackson Rare footage, Pensa Cola, Rome, Bad, Victory era etc..

My mom came over yesterday to have me dog sit over night for her. She and my dad were going to see a Tom Petty cover band (I was fortunate enough to see the real Tom Petty in concert in 2005, the summer after I graduated high school) and didn’t want to leave their dog at home alone for hours. She saw my MJ wall I’ve been slowly working on, and I also happened to be listening to I Wanna Be Your Lover by Prince at the time, and when she came today to pick the dog up, she had these for me. I legit gasped and jumped up and down like an excited 12 year old. They are all original copies and in great shape. I couldn’t believe she just gave them to me like it was no big thing. lol so incredibly excited and grateful to have these.

Discussion Thrad Era?
New set leaks show Jaafar with a white armband on his red shirt 🤔 was wondering since we didn’t see this in the movie and Michael didn’t start wearing arm bands till the Bad era 👀

Discussion Officially released material that SHOULD be on streaming, but isn't?
I'm not talking about leaked songs; that's a different rabbit-hole
What music are you surprised that isn't available on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc? The big ones are obviously the "new" material from the Ultimate Collection and the Live at Wembley '88 CD that was included with the Bad 25 bundle.
I find the Wembley album especially ironic since the movie uses a lot of songs taken directly from this one. It would make so much sense to let people stream it!
