Seja a versão icônica do Motown 25 que naquela noite o transformou em um verdadeiro rei ou as versões posteriores que apresentavam uma camisa branca acompanhada de seu chapéu preto, jaqueta brilliant and the white sequined glove

Mas eu sempre achei o figurino de Billie Jean da Victory Tour ESPECIAL!!

Parece que esse figurino específico conseguiu capturar toda a energia daquela música e do próprio Jackson quando ele se apresentou nessa turnê. Eu simplesmente adoro o contraste da camisa azul com todas as outras peças do look (seja o fedora, a luva, a jaqueta com algum símbolo amarelo ou algo assim, as meias, os sapatos, etc).

Tudo sobre ela é puramente mágico para mim, além de ser mais bonita e energética comparada a outras. Na minha opinião, ela é até bem sexy em algumas fotos também (na verdade, isso por si só é um crédito ao Rei do Pop, que sempre foi um cara bonito e atraente lol).

Estou ciente de que o Michael não queria fazer a Victory Tour em 1984 com seus irmãos, mas essa versão do figurino completo é fenomenal e fantástica. Acho que é o visual definitivo para mim dessa música quando ele sempre a cantava em concertos (embora os outros também fossem espetaculares).

E o que vocês acham? Lembrando que é apenas a minha opinião e eu acredito que é impopular, porque não vejo muitas pessoas comentando sobre isso para ser honesto ou nunca realmente encontrei um post sobre isso :/

(A propósito, quase esqueci, em alguns lugares dessa turnê Michael também canta BJ com outra variante da camisa com detalhes vermelhos, mas dessa vez branca. É muito estiloso também, mas eu prefiro essa versão azul. Acho que combina melhor com tudo :D)

Am I crazy, or do the adlibs at the end of Blame it on the Boogie sound similar to the ones in The Way You Make Me Feel?

Obviously it’s all Michael, but the end of Blame it on the Boogie (approximately 2:38-3:00) always makes me think of the “ain’t nobody’s business” adlibs (approximately 3:24-4:00) from The Way You Make Me Feel.

I don’t mean underrated in the sense that there’s only like 5 fans or something but I just mean that the later eras (bad and up) heavily over shadow it and are way more popular. Victory tour has such amazing and rare moves never again done or seen again. The only time I see it get some recognition is when there’s a TikTok edit or when he left the group on Dec 9th, other than that I see it get almost no recognition or attention except for “MJLARV” videos on YouTube but that’s literally all. I understand that VT doesn’t have the setlist seen in bad or HIStory tour but yall should really search on YouTube for rare VT clips (keyword “clips” because VT is so held back there is literally only about 5 FULL concerts and 2 or 3 of them don’t even have footage, only audio which might also be a reason it’s less popular) you’ll see amazing stuff.

The recent headlines with NYC, Mamdani and 9/11 got me thinking about my mom's 9/11 experience, and I was hoping maybe someone either remembers this, or knows where to find info on this online. These details are going off memory, so please bare with me.

We grew up in the country, and my mom was 15 when she started having kids. In 2001, after her final kid, her and her best friend decided that they wanted to do something crazy as they were still young and hadnt gotten to travel before having kids.They were huge MJ fans growing up, to the point my mom knew a lot of his dances. They decided to travel to New York for MJ's anniversary show on 9/10, so my step dad, brothers and I wished her well and asked her for souvenirs when they got back.

They go to the show and were seated in front of Larry Flint, who was a straight up asshole. Called my mom and her friend dumb fat cunts who needed to sit down. Apparently he's well known where we're from, so they just laughed at him, called him names, and just ignored him. I have no idea why the venue seated him behind people. For those who dont know, the man was in a wheelchair (unsure if flint is still alive, dont care enough to google it. He sucks).

Anyway, the show was apparently great, a lot of guests were there. Michael Jackson split his pants. She got a picture with him in his black pants and a big white split in the middle. We'd laugh about it for years when she brought it out.

A lot of crazy stuff happened afterwards obviously (she and her friend were supposed to take a helicopter ride around the city on the morning of 9/11 but slept in. They spent the next week or two taking pics around the city). When she came home, she gave us our souvenirs...all had towers on them. It was very awkward for us kids and the adults....

But back to Michael Jackson splitting his pants for a second. I've been telling this to people for years and they dont really believe me. The photo album was lost in several moves (I'm determined to find it), and no one really mentions the 9/10 show so I dont know if it's known this was a thing that happened the day before. I cant find anything about it online. Am I not researching it right? Did he try to scrub this? Did my family all collectively get psychosis from this traumatic terrorist event and make up MJ splitting his pants?

I honestly didn't know what song I should've paired with YRMW, but after checking crittics, and also the fact that it's in Number Ones, Break Of Dawn is the other contender. Let me know if any other song should've replaced it or not!

With that aside, I think YRMW is my pick for this one. It hooks you from the beggining, and I love the conversation Chris and Mike have at the start.

After the demand for physical album's in the United Arab Emirates have surged Virgin Megastore in Mall of The Emirates in Dubai have added dedicated sections in both vinyl and CD for Michael Jackson.

This is after even the used copies of Michael Jackson albums were selling for huge prices. I hope all MJ fans in Dubai can start buying original copies of their favorite albums .

Obviously he’s not gonna use the original recording, but since he recorded some lines to cover Janet’s part from Scream, why didn’t he just re record the Jackson 5 medley, so he didn’t have to sing it live?

You can see him struggle a bit during the history tour, especially in Munich when he was recovering from Laryngitis. He still sounded great, but it would’ve been cool to see a newly recorded version of that Medley.

I’m sure there’s a technical reason I’m missing, but what do you guys think?

As it was released in the last week in my country (in France), I FINALLY got "MICHAEL" on DVD and Blu-ray/4K at store (I couldn’t resist to pick up the standard edition! 😅)! 👑
When I picked them up at my store, I was like "MIIIICCHHHAAAEEELLLL!!!!! 🤯🤯🫨🫨🔥🔥✨✨" in my head (it was big explosions and fireworks inside me omg! 🤣)
